The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee

This was our first time to the Ritz Lake Oconee and it was great. From the moment you arrive, everything feels very luxurious. The rooms were very nicely appointed and felt spacious. The service level at this hotel was good (but not as personalized as some other Ritz), but no major complaints. The one thing to remember when coming here in the summer is that there are bugs. Not a major problem, but if you're not use to going to lake, it might surprise you. The food onsite is good and there multiple choices. They do S'mores each night and that was really fun for the kids. Playing on the lake was fun and kids had a blast. They also have options to rent boats, jet skis, etc onsite from a third party company. It will be pricier than options off property, but pretty convenient. DO NOT go to the marina 5 minutes away to rent a boat. They do not offer insurance and if anything happens, they will make you responsible for it. Overall, we had a great stay and can't wait to come back!

Beautiful & Peaceful Generally a very good experience and a beautiful property. Staffing challenges resulted in a level of service not quite up to my expectations.

Great outdoor getaway! this was a great hotel and location if you like golf, boating or hiking. you are away from major town, so other than on-site restaurants, you have few choices. there is a near-by Publix! great spa!

Great stay at Ritz Carlton Lake Oconee It was a great stay. The room was clean and the staff was ver friendly and accommodating.

Well Below the Ritz-Carlton Standard My wife and I spent a few nights at this location. Right after leaving, we stopped for gas and noticed that the valet parking service had put large gashes in one of the tire rims. I contacted the hotel management and they took down my information. I later informed them that the dealership said the rim could not be buffed out but had to be replaced. The car is a very expensive car with expensive rims. Hotel management said they turned it over to the loss prevention department and that they would be reaching out to me. It has been a couple months and I still have not heard from them. I have also reached out to hotel management again with no response. We have noticed that this Ritz-Carlton mimics a service mindset with very little follow through. For the three nights we stayed there, our bedding was never made up once, as well as other service issues. This was definitely not our typical experience at a Ritz-Carlton.

5 STAR It was a very relaxing stay at the Ritz! We wanted a relaxing weekend for our anniversary and the Ritz made it just that!
