Stayed in Twin Cabin #9 (3 people) to use our NSW Stay coupons. Canberra hotels don't take it. Not a great idea. - Clean and tidy - Good air-con - Good beds, very poor pillows - Overpriced for what it is (I suspect the coupons played a role here) - Noisy from the main road - Broken (unbearably noisy) fan in the bathroom - Not working porch light - Quite useless lighting - modern-looking bedside lamps way too bright and uncovered bulbs - ”Free'” BBQ wants a 1$ coin every three minutes or so. Go to the pub 200m away. - Automatic check-in system makes you to wait until 2pm to get in, even when you arrived not that early, at 1:35pm. I called them and they made me to wait for an SMS code to collect the keys while no-one was around and the cabin was ready.

From the first moment you walk into the room, the musty smell hits you like a brick! The room we had was very small, but that didn’t bother us at all. It was the stagnant, stale air and the unmistakable smell of a very old hotel room, which once-upon-a-time was inhabited by smoking guests. I tried without success to open a window - I was desperate for some fresh air! On night two of our stay, after returning from a full day out exploring Canberra, I was astonished to see that housekeeping had replaced our towels, but not bothered to make the bed, empty the rubbish bin or vacuum the floor! This property is described as 4-star on the Best Western website, I have no idea how they are able to claim this rating! The breakfast selection can only be described as bare minimum, but the most disturbing thing about the breakfast “buffet” was how messy the entire area was! We found crumbs and pieces of rubbish scattered on each of the tables holding the food. Needless to say, we took a hard pass on the breakfast! The only positive I have to offer about our experience at this hotel is that the water pressure in the shower was very good.

Having stayed at the Hotel Realm on numerous occasions for business, my latest visit was predictably very good. My room booking was upgraded on arrival which was a nice touch, as was the complementary beverage ticket. The Hotel Realm has served Canberra well over the years but unfortunately it shows in some aspects. Torn and / or worn carpet in a few places detracts from the overall finish and some refurbishment is in order. Also, you need to be aware that it is a little distance from Canberra City proper or the Kingston / Manuka shops and restaurants. All that said, another very good stay. The staff are friendly and the ambience is what you would expect. Recommended.

I'm 6'3” and in all honesty the room I stayed in wasn't that Little. There is a library where I was able to walk around, stretch my legs a bit and I am sure there were other facilities I didn't have time to utilize. The staff was amazing, friendly and made me feel comfortable without being cringeworthy. The price was reasonable and the location was just perfect.

This was a one night stay in Canberra as I had a medical appointment nearby the next day. Check in was relatively quick and easy, the staff explained the hotel facilities and then we headed up to the room. Once we got to the room, it was quite pleasant albeit a bit dimly lit. As it was a weekend, that meant their restaurant was closed, that posed no problems as in the foyer there's the Pantry, an area that has a limited selection of items ranging from frozen meals, to chips and chocolates. The microwave was a bit tricky to operate but once I got the hang of it, we had a quiet dinner and settled in for the night. As we'd been given vouchers for breakfast the next morning (allowing one drink and one food item - something we weren't told) we dropped in to their restaurant to have breakfast. I picked the apple cinnamon pancakes and later a bowl of Granola. Once the items were brought to the table, I noticed that the pancakes were almost submerged in maple syrup!!! I thought I was going to be brought a small jug of syrup to add as I wished, but to have them ”swimming” in syrup ... not a good look!. The bowl of Granola was rather tasty with yoghurt and fruit topping it. As we left, we presented our vouchers, to be told it covers one food and drink item, leaving a small charge at the end. So to backtrack and rate the hotel itself: The room was quite nice, beds were narrow and comfy, the bathroom spacious but the shower only has a glass panel that only covers half of the shower you'll need to keep it within that half or risk flooding the bathroom .. The hotel is rather nice, but will we stay here again? More than likely not, no fault of the hotel or staff ... just not our style...

This is a lovely hotel in a convenient location, 10 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from Canberra Centre. There were a couple of restaurants for dinner less than a block away, and an amazing cafe for breakfast (Kiitos Cafe) a block away. Free, on street parking was available and easy to find. The apartments are well-equipped with tea and coffee (a Nespresso machine) making supplies as well as pans, etc. The beds were comfortable and the towels are extremely fluffy. My only two criticisms are that the sheets were a bit stiff and the climate control is centralized, so we were unable to cool off the apartment when we got too hot at night. But I would highly recommend this hotel.

Saw the reviews and was not expecting much. I have been surprised to be honest. The reception was helpful, check in was quick and easy. Our room was clean, well equipped and the bed, lovely and soft and we had the best nights sleep. The only gripe was the communal area toilets were grubby but that’s down to dirty people. You get what you pay for and we were comfortable and can only speak of our experience.

I was really comfortable in the room and the bath towels were big fluffy and so good. I was really pleased I was given a access code so I could get into the building early in the morning excellent service 👍

Hotel location📍   We drove at 8 o'clock in the morning in Sydney. We stayed in the zoo in Canberra for about 5 hours. We drove in from the entrance. On the left is Jamala's signboard. It is good to park directly in the parking lot without taking a ticket.   Jamala is not in downtown Canberra, but Canberra is only a 10 minute drive to the city. If you want to live for a few more days in Canberra, I wouldn’t recommend it because of Canberra’s political attractions. There is a grandmother who needs to be taken care of by a wheelchair. The hotel and the zoo's overall barrier-free facilities are very comprehensive. Very smooth and happy~   At 4 o'clock we can finally go back to the room to rest! We live in a giraffe room, two people live in a long lemur room, and the giraffe room has a room at 4 o'clock. The administrator has a giraffe to take pictures. The giraffe room can see giraffes and deer, lemur rooms, The lemur is just outside the glass window of the room, and it’s especially cute to see people coming over and selling! We can also see the lion on the window terrace of the No. 2 lemur house. The hotel is open at 6 o'clock~ These two hours are free activities, and the zoo can visit the aquarium. Dinner🍝   Dinner is a fine dinning mode, a lot of glutinous nuts will be very particular about changing a good-looking clothes, drinking wine and snacks at the open bar on the terrace at 6 o'clock, red wine, white wine, champagne beer, the wine here is a good wine, like to drink The pot friends can open their hearts~ But you have to remember that this meal has to be eaten at 10 o'clock in the evening...
