Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all very accommodating. There was an excellent choice of wines in the evening, and the breakfasts were varied and filling. We were fortunate to have had very good snow conditions and this made the views from our room delightful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our ski week. The hotel is full of alpine charm. Rooms are lovely and a decent size. Good choice for breakfast and dinner with lots of home cooked dishes. Great selection of Italian wine too. Best of all is the wonderful hospitality and service we had from the family owners and their team.

This year too, as in the previous two, my daughter and I chose Gressoney for our summer holiday and, as always, the Hotel Gletscher, at the foot of Monte Rosa, proved to be the best place to stay to fully enjoy the splendor of the place. The rooms are beautiful and spacious (equipped with a minibar and solarium terrace), free parking, wifi connection and the wellness area (with Turkish bath and sauna). The breakfast is always excellent, vegan for us, in a cozy and welcoming place. Francesca and Marcello welcome guests like family members. The place is simply heavenly. For vegans there is a veg product shop in Gressoney Saint Jean and a beautiful 100% veg refuge that is easily accessible, even using the nearby ski lift.

Very nice hotel, opposite the departure of the Staffal cable car. Francesca, the helpful and caring owner. The room was spotless. Fantastic breakfast. Everything excellent!! I will more than happily return.

TL;DR = highly recommended, stop looking elsewhere, just book here for a great stay. We came back after the Covid years, and found that Hotel de Gletscher has kept all of its charm and is still ‘the place to be’ when looking for a relaxing and energizing ski-holiday. The best hospitality and personal service ever experienced in Italy, excellent food (this year even from a star-restaurant chef !), great spacious rooms with amazing view of the mountains and slopes, and all amenities you’d want for a best-in-class stay. Many thanks again to Francesca and Marcello for being our hosts, and a special ‘grazie mille’ to Pelagio for solving all our rental-car troubles. We are sure to come back for skiing again, and probably also for a summer hike in the future !
