It provides breakfast which is very nice but there are many flies in the restaurant. The cleanness of it is poor.

Huge shout out to Simona!!!! Simona saved our day :-) we turned up, having booked what we thought was this hotel on the same day. But turned out to be another hotel of the same miles away. Simona managed to accommodate us when there were no other available rooms in the town. THANK YOU SIMONA :-) You didnt have to help us but you did.

Nice place to stay. Good location and easy to go everywhere.

The hotel is some distance from the train station, and there is a slope in the middle, so pushing suitcases will be difficult. The room is quite large and unique, with the feel of a log cabin. It's a pity that the breakfast provided by the hotel does not have many varieties.

There is no refrigerator and no hot water. Shampoo is only given to each person in a small pack, but when we stayed for two days, it was not enough. I tried to go downstairs for two days hoping to get two more sachets of shampoo, but no one paid attention to me. I went to the restaurant to look for them because the clerk had to take care of the restaurant work, and there were too many customers and they were too busy and had a bad attitude. They called me. I stand here waiting for 5 minutes, but I don’t have the patience to wait at all. The next morning I wanted to get shampoo and the situation was still the same. Finally, I can’t wash my hair Breakfast is good, the dining table has been set up in advance, the breakfast area is elegantly decorated, warm and cozy, you can try Swiss-style ham and omelettes, it is really sincere, I give it full marks for breakfast Some of the waiters have very good attitudes, but some are really impatient, and the quality of individual staff varies  , the location is very good and it should get a higher score. Overall, I give it 3.5 to 4 points. If you get a newly renovated room, the score will be higher. As for the attitude of the staff. There were one or two of them, and the others were all very enthusiastic, especially an older woman, who was worried that we didn't have enough eggs and said she could give them more. In short, the staff are very different, so it is difficult for me to make a conclusion about this hotel.

The hotel arranged a snow-capped mountain view for me, and the accommodation environment was very good! Only the breakfast options were small and the staff did not add food in time. 

Although it is an old hotel, the rooms and toilets have been renovated. It is very convenient if you are traveling in Grindewald. Although there is no kettle, you can ask them for hot water. The front desk is sometimes not there, but it is understandable in a small city.

The room above a certain hall has average room facilities and is not cost-effective. It is not recommended!

The hotel environment is very good and the toilets are very clean.

Visited mid August 2023 and temperatures were 30-35 degrees Celsius during our stay. There was no air conditioning/cooling options for the rooms, so all you can do is open the windows. Unfortunately with the hotel being on the main street the road noise is too loud with the bus stop opposite to have windows open and sleep, so if you are visiting in summer I would recommend staying somewhere with air conditioning. The buffet breakfast option was good mostly but on our last day they were out of all fried egg, bacon, and scrambled egg, and out of water, and there didn't seem to be anyone available to ask. We dined in the hotel's restaurant both nights and the service was good from the staff. The hotel is directly opposite a bike rental shop and very close to the Grindelwald First terminal. The walk from Grindelwald's train station also wasnt too bad despite the heat. A great stop if you're going to be out later in the evening and using it as an activity base, but for those needing a place that is cool enough for young children to sleep during the afternoon (or night) I would recommend elsewhere.
