Just left this resort. It has a lot of potential but there are MAJOR issues. Staff is horrendous and I do mean horrendous. Customer service is key but the folks here missed the memo on that. Our interactions with everyone we encountered and I do mean everyone with the exception of our driver, check in staff and housekeeping ranged from dismissive, cavalier, rude, slow as hell, to argumentative. We were not the only group that felt this way. Several people we met here, had the same experience. The staff needs to do better. Resort - Absolutely beautiful but needs maintenance. I believe this place opened in 2017 which is fairly new but you can see where they need cosmetic work. Cracks in the buildings, cabinet doors in rooms that are hanging off, chipped furniture, tub did not work, rusted centerpiece in room table, mildew smelling room. Shutting down the pool in the middle of the day for pool canoeing is silly. That activity should be done in the am. Bars - If you did not ask, you were not going to be served. This goes for the pool side and the regular bar. I have never seem anything like this in my life. Food - Service was ridiculously long with no real explanation as to why, napkins missing at table, sometimes silverware was missing. Buffet was our favorite which is not typical for us. Steak place and Italian were ok. Cabana - the rental price should be the rental price. Charging 20.00 for additional people over a count of 4 is silly especially since people are coming and going throughout the day. Bath towels in rooms were super hard. Get downy please. I will try this brand in another country before I write them off completely.
