Very nice hotel in the small town, facilities are beautiful and breakfast is very good. Great location to go on a night walk to watch the northern lights.

I was totally cheated by the hotel this night. As I must wash my hair and take a shower every night, they only did a simple cleaning. Although other hotels in Iceland are expensive, they basically meet or exceed expectations. If you are not driving from Akureyri to Snæfellsnes Peninsula as a transit, you must not stay there! This town has a village feel to it. It is totally possible to live in Stykkis. Drive for half an hour to see Straw Hat Mountain and Seal Beach. The hygiene is very poor, there is no front desk, no one is cleaning, and the hotel smells rotten. The TV in the room, which had previously broken, was placed next to the bed. Not taken out. It seems like I treat the hotel as my own home. Place your own stuff wherever you like. So angry, I can stay at the Ritz for this price. How to be an agent

I have never stayed in such a rubbish hotel! The hotel knew that the hot water system was broken but did not tell us, so we had no hot water to take a shower at night in the temperature close to zero; the bed covers were smelly! They were used by the previous guests and were not replaced at all; there was no elevator and you had to carry your luggage to the 2nd or 3rd floor. If you wanted the Indian at the front desk to help you carry it, he would just stand there and ask for a tip; the hotel was opened by Indians and there was an Indian at the front desk. Not only was there no one at the front desk at night, but the hygiene conditions were ridiculous!

Everything is good except there is no elevator. The room is on the 2nd floor. It's a bit difficult to carry your bags up as the road up is quite narrow.
