The Tsubaki Tower

Update: Upon reading my negative feedback, I was put in touch with Ms. Sunny Cho and Mr. Hanmin Jang. Mr. Jang was very apologetic about our situation and offered to comp our meals at Oceano at a later date. It also came to light that Mr. Tsaio had originally given us an incorrect email and that was why I never received a response back. After we checked in for our reservation Mr. Jang and Ms. Cho made a point to come over to my husband and I to meet us in person and wish us a good dining experience. I also believe that they told our waiter to take extra good care of us on that evening because the service was excellent. My husband and I stayed at Tsubaki in April. Upon our check-in, we were informed by the manger, Tom Tsiao that all of the restaurants on premise were closed due to a recent outbreak of Covid, and our dinner reservations were subsequently cancelled with no notice. Mr. Tsaio offered us 2 options we could cancel our reservation and come back when Oceano was back up and running or we could keep our existing reservation and would receive a voucher to eat at Oceano free of charge, at a later date. We decided to go with the 2nd option, seeing it as a fair comp. In December we decided to use the voucher for our wedding anniversary dinner, to be informed that it did not exist. When we spoke with Mr. Tsaio directly he informed us he did not remember speaking to us and offering a voucher to eat at Oceano. No such voucher existed.

The only negative I have is that some aspects of this hotel are dated/in need of repair, but nothing too bad. OK, maybe a second negative was the nightly live music in the lobby that my co-workers could hear from their rooms on lower floors. The inside of the hotel is open all the way to the top (21 floors). The music was not an issue for me, but I was on the 20th floor. Now for the positive…. The proximity to town is great - you can walk to shopping and dining. The beach was excellent and right on the calm bay. There’s a water sports equipment rental place on the beach right by the hotel pool. You can get pretty much anything you’d need, other than motorized equipment. I rented a paddle board and enjoyed paddling around the bay for a couple of hours and would highly recommend it. There are chairs and umbrellas in the beach. There is also a large, resort style pool with bar. The drinks were good and affordable. While there could stand to be some updating of the pool area (maybe cement patch work and painting), they seemed to be working on it because the second, smaller pool and hot tub were under renovation. It seemed to me that a lot of places in Guam are just now starting to come back from the impact of COVID (low tourist numbers so limited staffing and repairs/updates to properties and restaurants). The Westin Club Lounge was great - good food, wine and beer, plus it’s on the top floor with excellent views to the south and west. The breakfast buffet had a lot of quality options. The gym was a little small for the size of the resort, but it worked. Bonus - plenty of garage parking. The staff was friendly and helpful across the entire resort. I’d absolutely stay here again!!

LeoPalace Resort Guam

At the recommendation of some friends, I decided to stop for a walk to the Japanese tank on the property and lunch at one of the restaurants. I was stopped at 2 security checkpoints on my way to the main resort building and had a positive experience with the guards at those locations. I was instructed by security to check in at the front desk before proceeding to the tank. I then proceeded to the front desk and things quickly went downhill. On my way into the resort, a 3rd security guard was present and was yelling and whistling obnoxiously at other hotel patrons who were apparently not using the sidewalk. Why they have so many security guards all over the property, I can’t figure out. I get to the front desk and the woman working had no idea what tank I was talking about and went to speak with her manager. When she returned, I was told to leave the property immediately or I would be removed by security. No reason was given nor was there a mention of my request to walk to the tank. I tried to reason with the staff and was told to go to the Tour Lounge to see about options for going to the tank. The woman working the desk for the tours didn’t speak good English, so I believe she was telling me I had to pay $200 to go on a Jeep tour to the tank, that there were no trips for that day, and she was unable to tell me when the next tour opportunity would be. With the threat of removal from the property for no reason and inability to communicate with the tour desk staff, I decided it best to not give LeoPalace any business and I promptly departed without seeing the tank or eating lunch. Very poor customer service and way too many security guards. Felt like a jail.

I usually read reviews before booking a vacation hotel especially if it's an extended stay. However, since this is not my first time visit in Guam and well, it really is just a vacation in Guam (We are from Saipan), I didn't think much of it. As our vacation was nearing though, I decided to check on this hotel in TripAdvisor. Oh boy. After I read ”you get what you paid for” in one of the reviews, I got a bit worried. I wanted to cancel my reservation. My wife, however insisted to stay with this hotel. I am glad I listened to my wife :) Our stay here was not bad at all, as most review here. I am happy to recommend this place. It's not perfect but it serves our purpose comfortably. The room we had - 4207 was huge for 3 people. We had a patio view of the garden and poolside which was nice. There's 2 full size beds, an open space for living room, a dining table for 4 (or more), full size kitchen area, and two full size bathroom with entry sinks and closets. The overall suite was clean. No frills. The kitchen area have everything you need, pots, pans, plates, utensils, microwave, stovetop and fridge. The room service was also to our liking. They come daily with fresh towels and linens. The bathroom was clean, has removable shower heads with strong water pressure. They don't have toiletries for you so you have to buy or bring your own. Which was not an issue to us. For safety, the building have an entry door lock which can only be opened by our room card keys. There's also securities on foot and by car roaming around the facility. Our bed was comfortable but my son's bed was a little tilted on one side which didn't bother him much (maybe because he is lighter than me :/). I would have complained if it was the only bed. The location of this hotel is also convenient for us. If you want to walk, there's eateries and Circle K within a couple of blocks. By car, everything seems approx 5-10mins drive. K-Mart is only approx 3-5mins drive. Some issues: Our key cards didn't seem to work properly. We had to have it change and re-access 3x. One card would work while the other card won't or vice versa. A hassle to have it changed because we are three building over the main building where the reception desk is located. The ladies at the front desk on our first day was not friendly at all. No smiles to greet us. No welcoming feeling or aura. They actually look moody or a little angry. They also told us that they charge full day rate for an early check-in but we informed them that we spoke to Jason the day before and he said it's half a day rate. In the end, they gave us the half a rate begrudgingly. They didn't even give us a proper instructions on where to find the elevator or our building. We had to ask. After that initial bad impression, I got really quiet and worried walking to our building. There's that ”o-oh” feeling. Then we saw the old elevator with a light smell of trash(?). Another ”o oh”. But as soon a

Crowne Plaza Resort Guam

My childhood memories are filled with fond recollections of the days when this hotel was known as Daichi, and the Seahorse was its neighbor. It's heartwarming to witness the tremendous growth in the form of the Crowne Plaza, now in its third iteration. Despite the substantial exodus of people from Guam and the challenges faced by the hospitality industry, my experience at the Crowne Plaza was nothing short of spectacular — even amidst the aftermath of the most devastating natural disaster to hit the island in over 20 years. During my visit, the hotel experienced sell out occupancy for several days before and after my stay. To complicate matters, some rooms were rendered unavailable due to storm damage. Yet, to my amazement, both of my rooms were seamlessly upgraded without request, including one room to a one-bedroom suite. This exceptional resource management and commitment to their loyalty program and customers leaves me truly impressed. The hotel honored all Diamond Elite benefits, and with the Club lounge temporarily closed due to the storm, we were accommodated with equivalent offerings in the Lobby lounge. The Crowne Plaza's complete makeover, featuring a contemporary design, elevates it to the status of a brand-new hotel rather than a simple update with - and this distinction is important - new yet outdated hardware. For example, their innovative digital elevator is a fresh concept on Guam, separating them from their local competition. I want to extend my sincerest appreciation to Abegail. Her exceptional service and assistance with check-in and resolution of an issue with our room rate demonstrated her expertise. I booked the best flexible rate and even that somehow doubled. Abegail took charge and resolved the matter. Her proactive approach and willingness to be our point of contact for any requests or concerns displayed remarkable initiative whilst juggling her duties at the counter. My gratitude extends to Abegail, the housekeeping, facilities, F&B, and the entire team for the outstanding care they provided during such challenging circumstances. A special thank you goes out to Tan Holdings and IHG for their continued investment in and commitment to the Crowne Plaza to ensure not just a future, but a brighter future, for Guam's hospitality industry.

I’ve stayed here several times already. This time around was great as well as they accommodated my request for a high floor. There are some gripes with our room though. There was a nasty sticky red residue on the floor between our twin beds under the security safe tabletop overlooked by too service. Also our AC for our room was freezing and the room was hot. The TV remote was also dead. I tried calling reception via the room phone but could not reach. I had to call via my cell phone to reach them. They were able to have a tech come in and change the batteries. I also informed him at the time of the AC. He restarted the AC but to no avail after some time. They were able to relocate us to a room a few doors down. The new room was much better and up to expectations of what I’ve had the past few visits. This time however, we did not get the usual free 2 bottles of water in either room. Not sure if it is no longer included but something to think about on the next visit. Upon check out, one staff at the reception tried to charge me once more when I had already paid via Trip.com. She was also asking me why rent fee was cheaper than normal and I had to inform her about the trip.com reward discounts I had used. She was corrected by another staff and I was good to go after they refunded my security deposit. Overall, another pleasant experience but not without some gripes here and there. The pricing for the room and the service from staff and tech was very well worth it. Will definitely stay again. Hopefully a better experience next time.

AWESOME NEWLY RENOVATED BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN TUMON! Stayed at Hotel Tano for about a month, and the hotel was the perfect property for us while on remote work/vacation on Guam visiting family and friends over our kids summer break. The hotel had just completed their renovation and conversion to a newly renovated boutique hotel. We loved the modern design and concept of the property and of the Premier Suite we had stayed in. We also loved the view of Tumon Bay and It’s sunset from our suite. The property is also centrally located on Tumon, where we made the daily walk to Fujita beach which was about a 5 minute walk and the main Tumon shopping ***** which was about a 10 minute walk. Staff were superb, as others mentioned on here. They welcomed us with the Hafa Adai spirit, they were attentive to our family’s needs during our stay, and at times a couple steps ahead in insuring we had a great stay. They sure made us feel like family. These individuals includes (Brandon, Robinson, Sam, Rey, Oz, Misty, Josh, Jay, Mark, Sheryl, and Jamie) A couple specific individuals that made our stay extra special, were Oz and Misty. Oz Lobby Host, consistently greeted us as we departed the hotel to kick-off our day and welcomed us back in the evening as we returned back to the hotel from our fun filled day. Oz would also check in on us to insure we were having a great stay. Misty our room attendant, was consistent in servicing our room, and would consistently check in to see if we needed any additional room amenities during our stay. It was refreshing to come back from our day to a clean room. My kids also loved the care that Misty had put towards their stuff animals. Overall an AWESOME stay, and we are looking forward to staying again and will be recommending Hotel Tano to our stateside friends & family who are in search for a hotel on Guam.

Excellent location to relax and enjoy the ocean view from where we stayed. Since our vacation was during the Holy Week, the ocean breeze and the waves played ambient sounds for my early morning prayers from the hotels balcony. The whole day was spent strolling around the commercial places which was a stones throw away from the hotel. Nice place to window shop and to buy some stuff for souvenirs. Though I didn’t have much time to go swimming because of the unpredictable rain, I had spent my afternoons waiting for the twilight as the sky dusked and captured the panoramic sunset images in my brain. As for the food, I haven’t tried the hotels restaurant the whole time. It was more fun to explore a good deal of restaurants and diners nearby. Stayed 4 nights at Hyatt and the place is recommendable. Ideal place for family vacation if your goal is to relax, unwind and bond with family and friends.

Guam for a long time. Because the child is small, choose the wing building with the floor carpet. I don't know if the room is renovated or unfinished. The bathroom felt old, but I was able to spend it comfortably. The room at the ocean front is a person who wants to see the sea from the room in the morning and evening. I think that the person who moves actively during the day, the person who plays golf main, and the view from the restaurant and the beach are the city view room. I have stayed in the tower building before, but this is recommended for couples and adult travel. Water parks can be enjoyed from children to adults. The club manta for children program can participate when you go to the venue according to time. It was a good opportunity to meet with children in other countries. The breakfast was delicious.

It's a bit far from downtown Tumon, so it's a bit uncomfortable if you don't rent it, but it's a very good choice for those who want to use it quietly and comfortably like I rented a resort :-) The staff were also very friendly. After two nights in Riga Royal, I moved to Dujit Beach for two more nights, and Dujit Beach felt so noisy. The infinity pool is pretty and the room ocean view is very good. I didn't use breakfast, and the room condition and facilities are a bit outdated. But I didn't expect it, but it was much better than I thought It's not too humid and it's clean It's a good cost-effective hotel!

Hotel is basic nothing fancy but I love it. Stayed in Guam with my mom for about a week before we continue our travels and we stayed at this hotel. The staffs were very friendly and always attentive. There was never a time when the staff were rude to us. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit.

PIC is the hotel with the most abundant parent-child facilities and the most fun in Guam, except that the room facilities are a bit outdated. The diverse activities and rich facilities in the water park allow parents to not worry about what their children want to play, as long as they relax and bask in the sun and listen to their laughter - swimming pools, water slides, water volleyball, and water basketball. Water tug-of-war, windsurfing, kayaking, floating harbor, and beach volleyball can all be played here. The hotel offers various instructional classes for beginners, including tennis. Snorkeling, sailing, etc. The hotel provides all entertainment equipment and coaches for free. Courses can be reserved in advance. Generally, the hotel can reserve the same day's courses in the morning. In addition to differences in room types, accommodation PICs are also divided into gold cards and silver cards. The main difference is that the gold card includes three meals, while the silver card only includes breakfast. When booking a room on Ctrip, you can only see the meal package price by selecting multiple days. Friends who want to spend time in PIC can choose the gold card. In this place where you can spend US dollars, you can buy three meals for a family with less than one thousand yuan a day. All the restaurants in PIC are of good quality! PIC has many delicious restaurants to choose from, including American, Western, Japanese, and buffets. The key is that an adult can bring a child under 11 years old to dine for free, and a family of four with two children does not need to pay extra for the child. It’s a waste. You can snorkel on the beach in the hotel here. There are many corals and small fish, but the corals are a bit badly damaged. Asian faces account for 80% of the tourists here, and more than 90% of them are Koreans. After three days in the hotel, I didn't meet anyone who spoke Chinese. During the National Day holiday, the country is crowded, and here everyone is surrounded by Smectas.
