Gionee Light Guangzhou Beijing Road Pedestrian Street

Location wise this place was right in the hustle and bustle of the Beijing Pedestrian Street it doesnt get any better than that. Right outside is a mall and food stalls and restaurants and convenient stores. There are also restaurants within the building of the hotel just on different floors. The hotel itself is really nice with alot of amenities. As far as the rooms go it is one of the nicer rooms I have stayed at in China. For a hotel at a busy location there weren’t any loud noises and we slept great. It’s not a super big but just right for 2 people. The toilet and shower are really good but my only complaint is that the shower is kind of awkward… you literally cant take a hot shower with normal water pressure it’s really weak when you set it to hot or cold and if you want a strong water pressure you’ll need to set it to luke warm which is in the middle but still kind of cold. Not sure why it’s setup like that. The pressure drops massively when you set it to hot. As far as amenities go they have washers and drivers which I believe is shared with another hotel called Mercure they have about 6 sets total of washer and dryers and from my experience in China the dryers here are really good compared to other places in China and actually dry your clothes instead if leaving it damp. And as for the gym, if you are a serious lifter it won’t satisfy your workout but there are plenty of gyms nearby that are within walking distance that offer day passes. I went to Shili Fitness which offered a day pass for 88 yuans. Since we are in the major hub of China expect alot of english speaking guests and tourists but the staff unfortunately speaks no english at all. If I were to come back I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is clean and good service, the front desk always meet with a smiley face. No doubt location is the best just at Beijing road. Definitely will book again.

The location is prime , the customer service is too perfect , the accommodation is perfect

Travelled together with my parents, we booked 2 rooms, both rooms are clean and tidy with good views. Despite being in a busy spot, the room was quiet at night. The staff were friendly and really helpful.

Very Good location right at Beijing Lu shopping street. Excellent services provided by Xiao Chai (Chai Yong), who is very accommodating and attentive in providing detailed information and help us planned our sightseeing daily during our 3 nights stay. We highly recommend to stay at Gionee Light Hotel for the location, very comfortable bed and fantastic services provided by Xiao Chai and his team. We will definitely be back to Gionee again!
