The Sofitel Guangzhou has a luxurious vibe with great rooms and amenities, but my stay was ruined by terrible service. The front desk staff repeatedly called my room phone, often not politely and at inconvenient times, this is not respectful at all. Their dismissive and unprofessional tone was shocking for a luxury hotel. Compared to my stays at Sheraton Shenzhen and Marriott in Wuhan this trip, where service was attentive and respectful, Sofitel fell far short. The constant interruptions and lack of basic courtesy made this a disappointing experience. Would I return? Not unless they fix their service issues.

Beautiful hotel, Ms Lisa is friendly and helpful, F&B can be better.

There is not many choices of food around the hotel. Found one decent local restaurant that serve hot foods. 7-Eleven is just next to the hotel and there are two stores available. Hotel room is spacious and comfortable. Great housekeeping. Fast check in and check out.

Great service highly recommended ,the front seat and butler’s they are all warm hearted and their hospitality is great .

Location is too far out. U need taxi every where u go. Train station walking 20min. Hotel lobby is big and spacious. But room is of old design. Aircon is not cold and the bath room no privacy.

Overall is perfect, great location, walkable to shopping area, what a fancy hotel, for sue will come back. I had a good stay there.

The place is in good conditions, clean and organized, the room is in good conditions, with basic amenities and plenty of dirking water. the view for the street is good, the main restaurant is good, and all the personnel in the restaurant speak English, that is great. The parking lot requires more signs to make easy to find the lobby of the hotel, it is not clear and not easy.

Absolutely horribly experience ordered room service soup which arrived cold and I was sick a hour or two after eating it I ordered some medicine and Gatorade and humbly asked the staff because I wasn’t feeling well to help bring it to the room from the delivery guy they shut it down very rudely The room was cold AC didn’t work and they gave us paper thin blankets Absolute waste of money I checked out even before my due time

Quick efficient check-in and departure. Rooms are lack of maintenance. I was given a room with a broke ceiling which doesn’t allow me to close the bathroom door. Later, notice there was a hole, size of my palm, which was not ceiled and repaired properly in the bathroom wall. In the second room, I found a used tooth brush by the bathroom door rail. Breakfast was good with lots of variety.
