Guilin Hotels with Gym

Nice big hotel in the center, just in front of a lake with 2 Pagoda. Elephant trunk at 600m, Departure for night boat also very clise.

We spent 2 nights at Sheraton hotel in Guilin. The hotel is located very centrally in walking distance to most major tourist attractions and close to Guilin railway station. The staff was very attentive and absolutely accomodating for all of our wishes making our experience very memorable. The interior design of the hotel is well thought out and gives it a simple but elegant touch. The facilities include small swimming pool which we couldn't try due to the weather situation. The gym consisted of a handful of cardio treadmills and machines for resistance training from Life Fitness with an area in the corner with dumbells and foam rollers, yoga mats. The changing room came with a sauna. We can recommend the breakfast buffet which is a mix of Western breakfast and local specialties from Guilin. Out of the available package options we really enjoyed the photo shoot where they provide makeup and clothes(classy/elegant and Guilin traditional) to capture the amazing moments from the trip.

This hotel was an absolute gem during my recent trip to Guilin. The location is incredibly convenient, just a cross from the iconic Elephant Trunk Hill. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. * Exceptional Service: From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive and welcoming. They provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, and even helped us book tickets for a river cruise. Their service was truly personalized and made us feel valued as guests. * Comfortable Accommodations: Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept soundly after long days of exploring. * Convenient Location: The hotel's proximity to Elephant Trunk Hill was a major plus. We were able to easily walk to the scenic area and enjoy the stunning views. Overall: We highly recommend [Hotel Name] to anyone visiting Guilin. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a convenient location made it an ideal base for our trip. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to my family and friends in the future.

Stayed for 3 nights at this lovely boutique hotel. The rooms are clean, modern and well maintained. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. I would recommend to friends and family. If there was one thing to improve, I think smoking and non smoking rooms should be completely separated - the hallways were filled with the smell of cigarettes and it also filled my room but otherwise, I would stay here again.

The service was excellent, friendly and friendly staff. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable. We had good night rest. The breakfast had a good variety. It is well located with the walking streets just next to it and always a taxi waiting at the front. McDonald was just a few doors away.

My first impression of Shangri La Guilin is that many staff speak English proficiently or at least the basics that are required for their job. I arrived an hour and a half before the check in time but they promptly checked me into my room without any long wait. My luggage was taken to my room by a bell boy whose English was even better than the front of the house. My initial thoughts of the room was that it was quite old fashioned and the interior design & amenities were dated in comparison to most 5 star hotels. The view however was exceptional. I could clearly see the garden, river and mountains. After my first night I was woken by some loud music. Though the staff tried to tell the dancers that playing the music was disruptive to their guests, they continued to play it which further frustrated me. I informed the guest manager Edward who was very helpful in rectifying this. He upgraded me into a much nicer room that he ensured me should be quieter. They also gave me complimentary fruits in the room which added to the nice gesture. This is exactly the kind of quality of service that earns them a 5 star rating. Carl at the front desk was also very competent and was very helpful when I had to pay for something through wechat. The room I came with was a package deal that included breakfast, spa voucher, photoshoot and club privileges. It was worth the extra cost as the all inclusive club buffet during happy hour was filling and tasty (photo attached). Breakfast was a Chinese buffet with a fusion of western basics such as cereal, toast and bakery items. If you have the time, I would highly recommend seeing Kelly (English name) for a ”signature Asian” massage at the spa. She applied the perfect pressure for me and was very kind. The photoshoot was organised through wechat and included 6 photos. The photographer was lovely and the final photos made special memories of my time in China. Suggestions for improvement: several items in the room are in need of repair or replacement eg. old hair dryer that lightly blows air (useless), flickering lights when you turn it on and the phones. I also think if they were to refurbish the pools outside then the place would appear less worn down. Overall, the service and reputation is what made this stay worth it. I look forward to staying at Shangri La again

Beyond my expectation. Service is at tip top. Walkable to many places of interest within 400m. The receptionists were so helpful giving directions as where to go and assist to call for cab anytime i needed the service. Remarkable housekeeper aunty, asking me need not wait for my laundry as she will make sure it is all done and will deliver to my room, she even drop me a note after sending the laundry on my bed. Got a upgraded family room which was spacious and on the high floor. The hotel 7th floor has a small pool and nice view of the Jingjang Wangfu background and the ancient city. They do served tea at 3pm with some nice cookies and desserts, breakfast was awesome with order to make famous Guilin Noodle soup. Highly recommend this hotel for personalize service and a comfort room. Would rate it 5/5. 酒店位置很好，房间卫生很干净，设施设备很齐全，有洗衣房健身房提供，一楼大堂还有免费咖啡提供，大堂环境也很好，宽敞明亮，前台服务员水琳服务很好.

Such a beautiful experience! The staff were so friendly and helpful from the beginning to end. I immediately connected with Ke to help build the itinerary and booked a wonderful trip to Yangshuo. The only downside is that it’s a bit far out from Guilin center (30 minutes). I spent the whole day on the river tour and when I returned luckily they had barbecue on the roof. The room was large and spacious with one of biggest bathrooms I’ve seen. My only regret is not spending MORE time at the hotel on the beautiful balcony of the room :)

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. As a solo traveler, I do feel that it’s good for one night to experience that design and pampering space. There are bus tour groups which go there and seem to work well with the KTV, Buffet meals, and lounging areas. From my trip, I stayed for two days after the Chinese Qixing Festival. It was really nice to arrive and have access to the teatime snacks and desserts as well as the wonderful architecture and furniture design. The outdoor pool is nice, however the indoor pool charges 50 yuan because they offer drinks and snacks. The only drinks and snacks they offered were juice boxes and some fruit. One employee told me that there were cocktails available. The exercise room and yoga room were set up very nice. The shower rooms very clean. I would not pay for the indoor swimming pool in my opinion based on the drink/snacks. The bar that is advertised from some user photos does not exist. Some employees said it was open, others said not. Management can communicate that better, as a lush hotel should have a solid lounge. The tea lounge does not have any alcohol drinks available, but rather decoration of wine bottles. The design is gorgeous though. One employee told me that they ran out of alcohol due to holiday, and another employee told me that there was a bar open which really was not. I simply went to get my own spirits when I wanted a cocktail (made in my room). Other than that, everything in the hotel was fine. My room was really lovely with the exception of the fact that you cannot go out on the balconies and there is a smoke smell from the carpet. The hotel gladly gave me a an air purifier to help alleviate the smell. My opinion is that the power should be sat on before a guest checks into their room. I had to change the filter over the two days. It did not appear that the KTV was open (maybe epidemic), I decided to go hang out in town, but enjoyed the Victorian flair when relaxing. Overall, the comfort, bathing, and relaxation was great. The breakfast is really delicious, and the service of the employees all around was impeccable despite the fact that they could not offer all of the amenities. It seems an OK place for families/photos as well since the property is unique. The 50 yuan for tea time was probably the most valuable, and the room service staff are detailed. The butler/reception very professional, Ayi staff amazing. Transportation quite easy.

The hotel is in a very good location, in the Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Area, next to Rong Lake, and the scenery is quite good. Mr. Wang, the front desk clerk at the hotel, was very attentive. He helped me check the order carefully and found some conflicts. He assisted me in contacting the platform to resolve them. Thank you very much! The only drawback is that the hotel is indeed quite old. Even after the renovation, the sound insulation is relatively poor, and the dust is large, which makes people uncomfortable.
