Guilin Hotels with Gym

Amazing hotel, I guess it has been renovated recently . The room is magnetic, and the staff can speak English quite well . Swimming pool, jacuzzis (3 of them), sauna and steam room, excellent gym with table tennis 🏓 equipments makes this property and excellent place to stay. Breakfast was excellent as I am a huge fan of Chinese food, not much of western food, but there are kids station, bread, coffee (good one) , sausage and bacon, and several other options of pastries such as croissants and danish. Thanks XiaoWu小伍 for the amazing service guiding us around the rooftop, taking pictures of us, and giving assistance providing all the important information on how to enjoy the hotel facilities . the only bad thing is the costumers , a huge amount of them smoke everywhere although there are signs saying the whole property is forbidden to smoke. The hotel should remove the ashtrays in front of the elevators . Unfortunately it is a problem in China when you go to hotels and makes very unpleasant the shared ventilation bringing smoking smell into other people’s room.

We spent 2 nights at Sheraton hotel in Guilin. The hotel is located very centrally in walking distance to most major tourist attractions and close to Guilin railway station. The staff was very attentive and absolutely accomodating for all of our wishes making our experience very memorable. The interior design of the hotel is well thought out and gives it a simple but elegant touch. The facilities include small swimming pool which we couldn't try due to the weather situation. The gym consisted of a handful of cardio treadmills and machines for resistance training from Life Fitness with an area in the corner with dumbells and foam rollers, yoga mats. The changing room came with a sauna. We can recommend the breakfast buffet which is a mix of Western breakfast and local specialties from Guilin. Out of the available package options we really enjoyed the photo shoot where they provide makeup and clothes(classy/elegant and Guilin traditional) to capture the amazing moments from the trip.

The greeting at reception upon arrival was warm and friendly. The team spoke wonderful English and were really accommodating and friendly. I was travelling with my parents and the team were very kind to them and gave them a warm welcome to Guilin which even included a complimentary birthday cake for my father! The location of the hotel was excellent. The views from the top floor of the “elephant trunk” really are excellent, as were the views from our rooms. Breakfast was a good buffet and a mix of western and Chinese food. The Chinese food menu was definitely more exciting than the western options, but both were good and well enjoyed. The service team were very nice and were able to accommodate special dietary requests. I would definitely recommend.

Our room had a magnificent view of the Li River. The sightseeing spots in Guilin City were all in walkable distance of the hotel. The breakfast had a good amount of variety and you can even get the typical Guilin Rice Noodles if you want. The service was over the top (everyone was super friendly and attentive). If you have any questions the staff replies to your messages within minutes. We were asked if the breakfast is alright or if they should prepare a more western one for us. They probably also saw our bin filled with empty water bottles and provided us 1.5L bottles for free 😂 Will most certainly recommend this hotel to my friends and family and would also come myself again!

A pleasant stay overall - The staffs are friendly and helpful. You can even notice that they are very attentive to their guest. It is great that this hotel does not allow smoking inside their facility (allowed outdoors only). Their gym is embarrassing but other than that, everything else seems nice. One thing that I am very disappointed about is that the photos of the Cozy Room (King Bed) has a river view. However, we did not have that. We had a full view of the buildings and streets instead.

We were welcomed warmly by the reception at Holiday Inn Express in Guilin. Check in was fast and we were shown to our rooms within 15 minutes. We stayed for 3 nights and each day, the rooms were kept immaculately clean when we return while out visiting the scenic spots. The self service laundry is a big plus that the hotel offered, especially so for families with young children. The breakfast spread has a mix of local and international flavours. My first impression of Shangri La Guilin is that many staff speak English proficiently or at least the basics that are required for their job. I arrived an hour and a half before the check in time but they promptly checked me into my room without any long wait. My luggage was taken to my room by a bell boy whose English was even better than the front of the house. My initial thoughts of the room was that it was quite old fashioned and the interior design & amenities were dated in comparison to most 5 star hotels. The view however was exceptional. I could clearly see the garden, river and mountains. After my first night I was woken by some loud music. Though the staff tried to tell the dancers that playing the music was disruptive to their guests, they continued to play it which further frustrated me. I informed the guest manager Edward who was very helpful in rectifying this. He upgraded me into a much nicer room that he ensured me should be quieter. They also gave me complimentary fruits in the room which added to the nice gesture. This is exactly the kind of quality of service that earns them a 5 star rating. Carl at the front desk was also very competent and was very helpful when I had to pay for something through wechat. The room I came with was a package deal that included breakfast, spa voucher, photoshoot and club privileges. It was worth the extra cost as the all inclusive club buffet during happy hour was filling and tasty (photo attached). Breakfast was a Chinese buffet with a fusion of western basics such as cereal, toast and bakery items. If you have the time, I would highly recommend seeing Kelly (English name) for a ”signature Asian” massage at the spa. She applied the perfect pressure for me and was very kind. The photoshoot was organised through wechat and included 6 photos. The photographer was lovely and the final photos made special memories of my time in China. Suggestions for improvement: several items in the room are in need of repair or replacement eg. old hair dryer that lightly blows air (useless), flickering lights when you turn it on and the phones. I also think if they were to refurbish the pools outside then the place would appear less worn down. Overall, the service and reputation is what made this stay worth it. I look forward to staying at Shangri La again

Our stay at Guilin Central Palace Hotel was exceptionally satisfying. We booked a king size room and was spacious. Breakfast and afternoon tea time came with many selections that were amazing delicious! Staff was always very helpful. We will book again to stay in Guilin next time.

If you are looking for confusion and stress this hotel is not for you . We were enveloped at our entrance by fusion music and environments of ancient rural China. The possibility to enjoy a terrace overlooking the Li River, next to the village of real fishermen. The jagged mountains of the region while drinking coffee in the morning will transport you to a lost China. Fantastic breakfast and very comfortable rooms. On the front of the hotel a walking area keeping you aside from traffic Will bring you to the ancient Town of Daxu , a small Village beside. The restorant on River level Will complete the offer for your staying. The rest is by photos attached . Strictly raccomanded if you wanna relax.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. As a solo traveler, I do feel that it’s good for one night to experience that design and pampering space. There are bus tour groups which go there and seem to work well with the KTV, Buffet meals, and lounging areas. From my trip, I stayed for two days after the Chinese Qixing Festival. It was really nice to arrive and have access to the teatime snacks and desserts as well as the wonderful architecture and furniture design. The outdoor pool is nice, however the indoor pool charges 50 yuan because they offer drinks and snacks. The only drinks and snacks they offered were juice boxes and some fruit. One employee told me that there were cocktails available. The exercise room and yoga room were set up very nice. The shower rooms very clean. I would not pay for the indoor swimming pool in my opinion based on the drink/snacks. The bar that is advertised from some user photos does not exist. Some employees said it was open, others said not. Management can communicate that better, as a lush hotel should have a solid lounge. The tea lounge does not have any alcohol drinks available, but rather decoration of wine bottles. The design is gorgeous though. One employee told me that they ran out of alcohol due to holiday, and another employee told me that there was a bar open which really was not. I simply went to get my own spirits when I wanted a cocktail (made in my room). Other than that, everything in the hotel was fine. My room was really lovely with the exception of the fact that you cannot go out on the balconies and there is a smoke smell from the carpet. The hotel gladly gave me a an air purifier to help alleviate the smell. My opinion is that the power should be sat on before a guest checks into their room. I had to change the filter over the two days. It did not appear that the KTV was open (maybe epidemic), I decided to go hang out in town, but enjoyed the Victorian flair when relaxing. Overall, the comfort, bathing, and relaxation was great. The breakfast is really delicious, and the service of the employees all around was impeccable despite the fact that they could not offer all of the amenities. It seems an OK place for families/photos as well since the property is unique. The 50 yuan for tea time was probably the most valuable, and the room service staff are detailed. The butler/reception very professional, Ayi staff amazing. Transportation quite easy.
