Looking for rice fields homestay (Guilin Liangjiang Sihu Ludi Scenic Area) Reviews

This was a great place to stay for a night on our way to catch a train to Yangshuo. The view from our room was AMAZING. The owners of the hotel were very kind, helpful and accommodating. They let us use their scooter for a few hours in the evening to explore the local area. They also let us go onto the rooftop to watch the sunset and take photos. They cooked us dinner in the evening and breakfast in the morning - simple food but very tasty. The only complaint I have is that the place is looking very neglected and run down. The reception area smells very mouldy/musty and the garden is overgrown and untidy. Also, the pool is empty and the rooftop is starting to fall apart (there are some sections that we were told not to walk on in case we fell through!). This place has the potential to be a very high quality place and they could charge much higher prices if they fixed it up and got it back to its former glory.

This hotel is especially interesting if you want to rest in a quiet and relaxing place with nice views. It is located on the outskirts of Guilin city, overlooking the mountains. To get to the tourist areas or scenic towns, you will have to take a taxi or a Didi, but it is not difficult. I suppose that if it is not July/August, you can walk to find a bike area or similar, but in summer the heat is too intense to walk twenty minutes… If you want to be in the center or move a lot into the city, perhaps this option is not for you. It is very nice to stay there and relax. You can bring fruit or food and use the kitchen. It is also possible to wash clothes there. We would have loved to have included breakfast and to be able to use the pool. It would have been really great, but it seems that some facilities are in disuse. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. Overall, this place has incredible potential, but it needs maintenance. The best: Tom, our adorable receptionist. He helped us with everything with the greatest patience and kindness in the world. He gave us bottles of water and some snacks for our excursions and got up at 6 a.m. to accompany us until the taxi arrived. Unbeatable. Thank you, Tom! You made a very significant difference in our experience.

The room is OK, and the price is not expensive, but it is too far from Reed Flute Cave, there is no transportation, and no meals are provided. It is very inconvenient if you don't drive. It costs 40 yuan/12 hours and 55/24 hours to rent an electric car. The entrance is still bumpy. When I went there at noon, two adults and two children went to eat. Bao's father didn't know how to ride an electric car and couldn't walk for 20 minutes under the sun. I wanted to eat somewhere closer, but I didn't see it on the road. It's really speechless 🤦♀️. There were no cars on the small road recommended by the hotel. Alas 😔! But I had a farmhouse spring water chicken at noon the next day, which was not bad.
