I stayed here during the Spring Festival, and the price was very reasonable. The lobby was decorated with a Spring Festival atmosphere, and it looked very festive. Check-in was quick and welcoming. I was really amazed when I entered the room. I have never stayed in a room this big, and the 60 square meters was really not false advertising. The facilities and equipment are complete and the space is spacious, not at all depressing. It is worth staying here!

There is a parking lot, convenient parking, there are shopping malls, supermarkets and cinemas around, just walk. Upgraded the room type, very comfortable, no smell, clean toilets, this room air conditioning is powerful, I wake up at night on a cold day haha. The points changed the buffet breakfast, there are not many types, I like to eat a bowl of powder, a bowl of porridge, an egg and a cup of soy milk, which is convenient and comfortable. The disadvantage is that the toothpaste, the wife is too difficult to poke! The hand hurts and didn't poke a hole. I really recommend replacing it with a cockroach. .

The hotel has a clear geographical advantage. It is located in Keshi World Square, adjacent to Jiatianxia Square. It is not far from the Convention and Exhibition Center. The mountain-crossing scenic spot is also nearby. The transportation is convenient and extends in all directions. The hotel provides free parking, the underground parking lot is provided by the Keshi World Plaza, and you can register your license plate with the front desk note. Trip.com Booking support first stay and then pay, support late check-out until 15:00, check-out free of rounds, service is very thoughtful. The rooms are very spacious, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, there is a small balcony outside the window but can't get out, the view is wide, the lighting is bright, it is a plus. A few shortcomings: the hotel is close to the road, the sound insulation is slightly worse; the chairs and fabric carpets have been used for a long time, more or less stained. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.

My girlfriend and I came to Guilin to travel, booked this hotel, and were pleasantly surprised.
First, the location was not found at the beginning, and I contacted the front desk later to know that it was opposite the exhibition. It was 30 meters walk. The hotel did not hang a signboard. Because it was originally used by CCB, it opened on National Day. The signboard is currently CCB Jianrong Homeland, and the big signboard is hung at the door. There is also a parking lot that is free, too convenient, there is a billiard table on the first floor, and there is a large venue where you can sit and charge your mobile phone.
Second, service: The front desk service is doing a good job, because she came from other places and told us a lot of Guilin play strategies, all questions are answered patiently.
Third, environmental sanitation: the room is brand new and tasteless, clean and tidy, the windows are large, the lighting is good, you can see the convention and exhibition center opposite, the room has a refrigerator, washing machine, and can cook! There is RT-Mart supermarket next to it, which is very convenient for shopping, and the traffic is very convenient. It is like going to the Elephant Trunk Hill in the city center and the Sun and Moon Twin Towers to ride a small yellow car. The key is that the price is very close to the people! 5-8 minute walk to Sun and Moon pagodas, 10-15 minute walk to Elephant hill. Despite being next to the main road, its very quiet. There is a supermarket less than 1 min walk and a bigger one 5 mins walk away. Really good location, although its not central to everything, its only a 10min walk to everything.
Room:
Big, clean and well organised. The room has a view of the mountains, you just have to ignore the buildings in-between.
The mini-bar is free for guests but only has a small coke and sprite and some chips. But having a fridge is nice
Bathroom
Shower is good, and a smart bidet toilet is nice. But this is where my main issue comes from. The bathroom 'zone' has the toilet in one cubicle, the shower in another cubicle and the sink outside them both. This seems fine and you cannot see anyone while doing anything due to the frosted glass. However, there is no dividing wall or barrier between the bedroom 'zone' and the bathroom 'zone'. Meaning if you get up to use the bathroom then the light from the bathroom will flood the bedroom. You may also be senstive to noise isolation being a factor too.
The sink has a mirror with a light, this is an issue. Even with the light on the mirror off, the switch to turn on the mirror light is always lit and at night time it looks bright and you do not get a perfect dark room.
Speaking of dark room, the curtains are controlled by a switch and are either fully open or fully closed, nothing in-between.
Breakfast:
Bread, noodles, rice, eggs, cereal, coffee, tea, sausages, dumplings, and more and a noodle-making station all available. The restaurant looks out over the infinity pool so it is very pretty.
Common areas:
The lobby is not large, but the rooms are very large so its a good trade-off. Theres a spa and travel agent (but we never used them) and everything is very clean and smells good.
Everything is white with light-wood and looks modern, simple, clean and warm.
Service:
You can communicate in English via WeChat and any issues or questions are dealt with quickly. Everyone seemed friendly and warm. Good service
Extras:
There is a laundry room/ laundry service for free. A meeting room and Swimming pool but we didn't use it.
Overall:
This hotel has an excellent rating on Trip.com and it does earn it. Would stay again especially as the price is cheap and the location is decent but the quality of the furnishings and design of the hotel really are top-class. Would stay here again for sure.

GGuest UserI felt special from the moment I stepped out of my taxi. The customer service is wonderful and attentive. I booked a panoramic room and it was exactly as described…just beautiful. Within walking distance of the quay for river rafting (if you turn left out of the hotel). Breakfast was lovely with a choice of either Chinese or 8 different Western options. I was sad to leave…and even more sad saying goodbye to that bath! Well done to the amazing staff at this small hotel…they really do put the customer experience first!

Hotel was in a very good location near the main road which surrounded by karst mountains and beautiful scenery.
Below hotel is a food court and Yangshuo West Street.
Room was clean and spacious, toilet seat with warmer, spray and deodorise.
Good buffet breakfast spread and afternoon tea. Hotel lobby provides free drinks. Free use of laundry machine and dryer with detergent provided.
Special ”Thank You” to 小廖 to help arrange ticket for the show ‘Impression of Liu Sanjie' and transport to Yangshuo high speed train station. WeChat her 2 week earlier to discuss the day tour and Yangshuo information. She sends us a video for the direction to BO Hotel.

I was working in the lobby at one of the late nights and i ordered congee from outside the hotel , and the hotel staff got me some Chinese nibbles from their kitchen that went great with my congee takeout. Great service that is completely out of my expectation. Thank you !
They also have a branch in yang shuo in the middle of the landscape with great bolognese that my three kids enjoyed a lot.
Also, the choices of art pieces and furniture , outfit all went well with the hotel visual style, and it’s a quality stay with great care, good choice of design and arts and heritage, and good choice of food. Thank you

I booked my stay at the Shixi Landscape Hotel in Yangshuo, Guilin, through Trip.com. The check-in process was very smooth and didn’t take long at all. One pleasant surprise was the option to upgrade our room for free, which we accepted. This upgraded room came with a lovely balcony. Although the staff couldn’t speak English, they were very friendly and helpful. Using a translation app made communication easy.
Room Details
We stayed in a standard double room with an upgrade to a balcony room. The room also featured a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Upon entering, the room was fairly clean, though there were some water stains on the floor and the carpet had a few dirty spots. The amenities were average, including a selection of soft drinks in the minibar and some snacks on the table. Despite these minor cleanliness issues, the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep.
Facilities and Services
The hotel had a restaurant where we received a complimentary breakfast upgrade. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations. While the Chinese food selection seemed okay, the international options were quite disappointing. The sausages were undercooked, the bacon was not good, and the cereal options looked and tasted stale. The only decent international option was toast with butter. It’s a relief we didn’t pay extra for it.
Although I noticed the hotel had a spa, gym, and pool, I didn’t get a chance to use them. The pool looked nice but was small and shallow, not suitable for a serious swim. There was no room service available as far as I knew.
Location and Accessibility
The hotel’s location was fantastic, situated right next to the Li River and only a short 5-minute walk to the main shops and streets in the town. It was very easy to find and access, making it a convenient base for exploring Yangshuo.
Customer Service
The overall customer service was great. The staff were very friendly and polite, and we encountered no issues during our stay.
Overall Experience
The best part of our stay was the hotel’s prime location, which made it easy to visit tourist attractions. The hotel staff were also very helpful in arranging scooter rentals for a very reasonable price of ¥30 per day, which allowed us to explore the beautiful scenery around Yangshuo.
However, there is room for improvement. The breakfast selection, particularly the international options, needs significant enhancement. Additionally, a thorough deep cleaning of the carpets would greatly improve the room’s cleanliness.
In conclusion, while I would recommend the Shixi Landscape Hotel for its location and overall good service, it is on the pricier side for Yangshuo. Given the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of breakfast quality and room cleanliness. Nonetheless, it is a decent option for those looking to stay near the Li River and the town’s main attractions.

EExpatThis is an absolutely beautiful hotel. As a solo traveler, I do feel that it’s good for one night to experience that design and pampering space. There are bus tour groups which go there and seem to work well with the KTV, Buffet meals, and lounging areas.
From my trip, I stayed for two days after the Chinese Qixing Festival. It was really nice to arrive and have access to the teatime snacks and desserts as well as the wonderful architecture and furniture design. The outdoor pool is nice, however the indoor pool charges 50 yuan because they offer drinks and snacks. The only drinks and snacks they offered were juice boxes and some fruit. One employee told me that there were cocktails available. The exercise room and yoga room were set up very nice. The shower rooms very clean. I would not pay for the indoor swimming pool in my opinion based on the drink/snacks.
The bar that is advertised from some user photos does not exist. Some employees said it was open, others said not. Management can communicate that better, as a lush hotel should have a solid lounge. The tea lounge does not have any alcohol drinks available, but rather decoration of wine bottles. The design is gorgeous though. One employee told me that they ran out of alcohol due to holiday, and another employee told me that there was a bar open which really was not. I simply went to get my own spirits when I wanted a cocktail (made in my room).
Other than that, everything in the hotel was fine. My room was really lovely with the exception of the fact that you cannot go out on the balconies and there is a smoke smell from the carpet. The hotel gladly gave me a an air purifier to help alleviate the smell. My opinion is that the power should be sat on before a guest checks into their room. I had to change the filter over the two days. It did not appear that the KTV was open (maybe epidemic), I decided to go hang out in town, but enjoyed the Victorian flair when relaxing.
Overall, the comfort, bathing, and relaxation was great. The breakfast is really delicious, and the service of the employees all around was impeccable despite the fact that they could not offer all of the amenities. It seems an OK place for families/photos as well since the property is unique. The 50 yuan for tea time was probably the most valuable, and the room service staff are detailed. The butler/reception very professional, Ayi staff amazing. Transportation quite easy.

PPrairieTruthfully, I am having time finding words, and that's unusual for me. I must admit I was disappointed when Yangshuo Mountain Retreat cancelled my booking because of a wedding that had booked the place, but the photos of the garden sold me. I've been to Yangshuo perhaps five times over the last 10 years, and have stayed in every kind of place there-from a cheap hostel to the boutique rooms but my dream was to stay at YMR, where I always stop and have a whiskey by the river.
When we pulled into Liqui Town, I realized I had not explored this part of the valley and was disoriented. But then the staff greeted us, carried in our bags, gave us tea, peanuts, and oranges, and set to taking care of our every need. They were this way with us from start to finish-sending us off with a bag of fresh mandarin oranges and hugs-and a promise to send an invoice for our remaining expenses-which we still have not gotten!
Apart from the wonder of just those details, the food was exquisite, our farmhouse room was stylish and simple yet so thoroughly Chinese-in the most real and unassuming way. It was an honor and a pleasure to sip tea in the farmhouse and look at the many woodcut posters and Chinese propaganda songs on the walls while staring up from the tea table to the simply elegant clay tile roof resting on the original beams, feeling the mud bricks breathe out their history silently under a soft rain and the early crows of the neighborhood roosters. I
If one is quiet and still, I believe this little gem will give up her secrets, her history, and the story and true feeling of old-time village life amongst the stunning splatters of karst and water. We enjoyed watching the staff use the traditional well to clean up around the property, and the garden did not disappoint. Truly magical and filled with bonsai that some local master has been enjoying for many years. The food was excellent. We spoke with some Chinese tourists on the way out who were very disappointed with the local version of beer fish, ah but ours was exquisite, along with the drinks and italian food. It's very rare to find this mix of culture, authenticity, generosity, and good service all wrapped into a package that does nearly guarantee the fulfillment of the motto the girls wear on their shirts, ”be inspired....”

KKumaranHOW TO REACH: The local name of this hotel is “Wang Jiang” tower or building. This helps if you are traveling from Yangshuo Railway Station by taxi. I traveled with my friends – 3 families (with kids), and we are non-Chinese. Typically, several taxis are available at the exit of Yangshuo Railway station. Someone approached me who can speak English – so took a 10-seater. The cost is about RMB 20~25/person & takes about 40 minutes.
ROOM: Spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The balcony view helps, depending on which side the room is located on. I chose the front side view, which has both a river view and a mountain view.
HOTEL: Although the hotel doesn’t have a lift, the staff delivered the luggage to the room. If you need help at the time of checkout, they may help. But I did it on my own at the time of check-out. It is conveniently located close to West Street (10 min walk).
HOTEL-RESTAURANT: very good restaurant in 1F (vegetarian options as well!). It is very popular among the locals & we liked it too. But it gets very busy during the weekends. So, if the room is close to 1F, it will be loud till ~ 22:00.
HOTEL STAFF: All are very friendly and do their best to help foreigners. Many staff can speak English. In my case, YAWEN is worth mentioning, as she helped us a lot in planning our local trips. Even before arriving at the hotel, we had a plan. But our interactions with YAWEN (& her feedback) made it very convenient & time-effective for us.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: It is possible to book tickets for the Ruyi scenic spot, Silver Cave, Hot air balloon, Li-river cruise (from Yangshuo), Xinping (hot air balloon), Bus-trip to Longji Ricefields, & many more at the hotel.

FFaeMy first impression of Shangri La Guilin is that many staff speak English proficiently or at least the basics that are required for their job. I arrived an hour and a half before the check in time but they promptly checked me into my room without any long wait. My luggage was taken to my room by a bell boy whose English was even better than the front of the house. My initial thoughts of the room was that it was quite old fashioned and the interior design & amenities were dated in comparison to most 5 star hotels. The view however was exceptional. I could clearly see the garden, river and mountains. After my first night I was woken by some loud music. Though the staff tried to tell the dancers that playing the music was disruptive to their guests, they continued to play it which further frustrated me. I informed the guest manager Edward who was very helpful in rectifying this. He upgraded me into a much nicer room that he ensured me should be quieter. They also gave me complimentary fruits in the room which added to the nice gesture. This is exactly the kind of quality of service that earns them a 5 star rating. Carl at the front desk was also very competent and was very helpful when I had to pay for something through wechat.
The room I came with was a package deal that included breakfast, spa voucher, photoshoot and club privileges. It was worth the extra cost as the all inclusive club buffet during happy hour was filling and tasty (photo attached).
Breakfast was a Chinese buffet with a fusion of western basics such as cereal, toast and bakery items.
If you have the time, I would highly recommend seeing Kelly (English name) for a ”signature Asian” massage at the spa. She applied the perfect pressure for me and was very kind.
The photoshoot was organised through wechat and included 6 photos. The photographer was lovely and the final photos made special memories of my time in China.
Suggestions for improvement: several items in the room are in need of repair or replacement eg. old hair dryer that lightly blows air (useless), flickering lights when you turn it on and the phones. I also think if they were to refurbish the pools outside then the place would appear less worn down.
Overall, the service and reputation is what made this stay worth it. I look forward to staying at Shangri La again

JJulieHad an incredible stay here! The views are stunning (probably one of the best out of all the other accommodations nearby), the room was clean and the service was friendly. It's a family owned business and everyone is lovely. If you're taking a bus, it won't drop you all the way to the hotel but if you give the hotel a call, someone can come pick you up from the bus stop. I had a bit of a miscommunication with my previous hotel who arranged a coach for us that dropped us off at a very far away drop off point and someone still came and picked us up from there with no complaints (and did not charge us for it)!! We were also dropped back off at the bus stop on the day we left. No one spoke much English which made it a little harder, but we got by with a translator app. There are quite a few stairs to go up to get to the hotel which isn't great if you have lots of heavy luggage so I'd recommend packing lightly if possible. Having said that, if you have average fitness, you should be fine getting up and down the stairs, the trek is not too long. The views are definitely worth it! Would stay again for sure.
