Kempinski Hotel Guiyang Reviews

This hotel is simply MUST STAY in Guiyang. Staff over there are all super friendly and helpful. Especially duty manager Luke Lu welcomed us with fruits, cake and lovely hand written card. Thank you so much. Room has spectacular view and you can look over all Guiyang from bird eye view. I stayed on 51st floor suite room which allows full access to executive lounge on 53rd floor from 2 to 10pm. Its location is in the heart of city, so Jiaxiulu甲秀楼，shoppings and restaurants ste in walking distance. Even airport is just 15 minutes drive. My wife and I really loved to stay here in Kempinski Guiyang and its name is now reliable one to make booking next times of trouble without any hesitation. 한국어가 능숙한 매니져 Jeff Wang도 있습니다. 가급적이면 스위트룸에서 최고의 뷰와 라운지와 서비스를 느껴보시길 추천드립니다.

Good location very convenient near airport

We had one night stay in Kempinski. The hotel lobby was stunning with very nice designs. Our room was spacious and clean, the city views at night from the windows were just magnificent. The business lounge was on level 53 (top floor), which offered guests free afternoon tea, light dinner, and night drinks. Every staff member we met was very polite and friendly. Finally, I wish to say special thanks to the reception staff Kevin, who serviced us very patiently and professionally. We will be back surely and see you again!

Great stay. Receptionist was kind and professional and made check in very smooth and easy. Classy enviornment and professional staff everywhere. By far the best hotel experience in Guiyang for me.

Just great

It feels unfair to give it 3 stars based on 1 thing but as is often the case with nicer hotels, they fail at the most basic thing required of a hotel - sleep. The AC in the room is terrible. Temperature got to its lowest at 4am when it was 25C in the room but throughout the day and early ours of the night it was 27C. If that’s not something that bothers you then this hotel is otherwise decent. Great view, nice bathtub, clean and comfortable (minus losing 5kg of body mass by the time of getting up). For me, tossing and turning all night and waking up more exhausted than when i went to bed in a hotel that charges that kind of money is unacceptable and would definitely put me off ever staying there again. Also, on a side note - the swimming pool isn’t 5 star. More like a low 4.

The room is quite new, the 46th floor is a bit high, the view is very good, the service is also good, there are many restaurants around, unfortunately I can't get used to any of them, it's about ten minutes walk to Jiaxiu Tower, you can choose this hotel when you come to Guiyang.

The room is old, the whole room is dimly lit, the overall decoration reveals the style of old cadres, the facilities are seriously aging, the central air-conditioning is noisy, the bedding also reveals a sense of history, the service flexibility is poor, the services provided cannot match the price, except for the relatively good geographical location, the other features are really useless. I suggest you avoid it, you can increase your budget and stay in the Sofitel next door, or stay in the newly opened Huazhu or Jinjiang. The Liyi Hotel I stayed in the next day had much better facilities than this one, and I stepped on the Kempinski.

The day before yesterday, we arrived in Guiyang and checked into the Kempinski Hotel. The service of this hotel is very warm and thoughtful. We booked an executive suite, which is spacious and bright. The 180-degree large glass window overlooks the city scenery of Guiyang. And when we heard that we were here to celebrate our anniversary, they specially arranged a romantic welcome arrangement, made a double swan shape with towels, and sprinkled a lot of roses, which made us feel cordial and warm. There are also afternoon tea and supper every day, the meals are exquisite, the variety is wide, the taste is good, and the wine is rich and varied. There is a Huangping 12 zodiac clay whistle in the hotel room. There is a monkey in our room. If the guests like it, they can buy it for 39 yuan. This is a donation for Guizhou's environmental protection. We decided to buy one to support the environmental protection cause. When we checked out at the front desk, the front desk clerk said that the little monkey was given to you, and at the same time gave us a mug specially made to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the Kempinski Hotel, welcoming us to stay in the Kempinski Hotel again in the future. It really feels very thoughtful.

Xiao Xia at the front desk had a very good attitude and was very considerate and enthusiastic. She introduced us to nearby attractions and food, and gave us a self-made travel album. We upgraded our room so that we could overlook Jiaxiu Tower, which was a very good experience. The hygiene was also good. Although the hotel is quite old, the room was equipped with a smart toilet, which was very convenient and hygienic. The room service was also very fast and considerate, and the items were replenished very promptly. We were given mineral water every time. The bedding was very comfortable and clean. The only drawback was that the mini bar was charged, but the hotel was surrounded by convenient dining and shopping, so it did not affect us. The breakfast was also very rich, and local specialty beef noodles were also provided. It was also very convenient to travel. The Swiss Silver Bird next door also gave discounts to guests.

Overall, it reflects the quality of a five-star hotel! The location is excellent and travel is very convenient! You can overlook the beautiful city! Clean and tidy, although it is a bit old, the decoration style is still very good!

The overall facilities of the hotel are old, but the hygiene, service and other aspects are good. The factors that deduct points are: the breakfast is very average (the freshly squeezed juice is very good); the air conditioner in the room is old and basically does not work when it is sunny in the west; the parking lot is seriously blocked due to the wedding car, which delayed the trip.
