Incredibly mediocre hotel. Not sure why folks are giving it five stars, they probably have some incentive in doing so. My experience was not great, the main hall was dark and dismal and the front staff hung up on my phone call when I called them to confirm the booking. The staff in person however was friendly. The rooms were interesting. The beds were rock hard and the lights were constantly flickering. The bed was clean however so that was a plus. The shower was quite strange, there was an opening that allowed water to gush out even when fully closed which made no sense at all. The stains on the bathroom floor were apparent and there was no shower gel but two shampoos, and there was no spare toilet paper. I’d give this place a solid 2 stars and would not suggest anyone paying more than 300 for this.

Too long checking time for foreign passport, taking picture of each single page of the passport. Definitively more difficult to enter this hotel than passing Chinese border. Later the room was smelling cigarette, too bad for families.

The hotel is relatively close to Guiyang North Railway Station, about a 10-minute drive. There are some gourmet restaurants on the first floor of an office building nearby. The variety is rich and the prices are affordable. The waiters are very friendly and breakfast is also good.

I didn't drive because the city center was too congested and it was difficult to find a parking space. The environment in the room was not bad. The only thing that needs to be improved is the quilt in the room. I don't know if it is the same in all rooms or just the room I stayed in. Anyway, the quilt is very black and there are a lot of marks on it that look like dried blood.
