It’s been ages since I wrote anything on this site. But I was so disappointed with this motel that we had stayed at several times before. Yes, newly renovated but that included toxic paint and carpet smell to the point I was concerned for my health overnight. Worse was, what used to be the kitchen adjacent to the guest’s pleasant breakfast room, was now taken over intimidatingly by seemingly ‘live in’ family groups with the fridges jammed full of their food and people chopping up meat and cooking their evening meals etc just horrible. Would not go back.

We last stayed here overnight in 2020 and found it to be clean, quiet and comfortable. Unfortunately it has gone downhill. Although still clean and (relatively) comfortable, the paper thin walls and high occupancy meant that it was particularly noisy. This was exacerbated by the staff who were located in the office immediately below us and did not appear to know the concept of "indoor voices". The staff also appeared to be using the kitchen of the now-closed restaurant to cook their own meals and the exhaust fan was unable to cope adequately with the cooking smells. Security was also concerning to us as the key to open the door to the accommodation wing was left in the door with a sign advising that it should not be removed. We would definitely think carefully before staying here again.

Drove all day, stopped at first motel I saw in Gundegai.. this one. Tradies using power tools in the room next to mine - drills and a power saw - until 5-30pm, when I asked the Reception staff to get them to stop. They started up again at bang on 8am the following morning, waking me up with a power saw, just in the next room, which had no door. Dirty tradie clothes and empty water bottles on the floor in the corridor outside my room, a total f”””ing disgrace. Don’t stay here.
