L7 CHUNGJANG by LOTTE HOTELS(formerly Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Chungjang)

I stayed here for a colloquium and found the service and facilities to be excellent. I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on it, but I would definitely stay here again.

Compared to many budget hotels in the Gwangju area, there was a slight price difference, but it was clean and comfortable, living up to the brand's image. The breakfast we purchased was very satisfying, and it was a relaxing stay. My elementary-aged son, who was with me, loved it too! The hotel even upgraded our room~

The parking lot wasn't big enough, so I had to park on the street. The location is good, and there's a laundry room on the 11th floor. However, it's a bit pricey. I wouldn't recommend it if you need two rooms.

The hotel's location was great, and the staff were friendly. The room was spacious and clean, so overall I was very satisfied. However, the hot water was an issue, which was disappointing. I experienced inconvenience throughout my 2-night stay. On the first afternoon, there was no hot water, so I inquired, and they fixed it immediately. But on the last day, when I turned the tap to the hot water side, no water came out at all. I was informed that immediate action was difficult due to a boiler problem and that I would have to shower in another room. In the end, I couldn't properly use the shower and just washed up quickly. This was the first time I've stayed in a place where the hot water didn't work properly, and it was very uncomfortable and disappointing.

I booked this place because I had an early morning makeup appointment on Wedding Street the day before my wedding, and I wanted somewhere close by. I loved that it had a separate living room and a bedroom, giving us plenty of space. Having two sinks was a huge plus, allowing us to get ready quickly on a busy morning. I was very satisfied and would definitely stay here again if I visit Gwangju!

I visited with a same-day reservation and it was great. I booked a place nearby hoping to visit a Gwangju-style pocha (street food stall), but there wasn't one available—perhaps because of the vacation season or the heat...!! I paid for breakfast on-site and have no regrets. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is delicious!! I highly recommend this place if you are traveling to Gwangju. The room is spacious and nice.

The price has gone up a little compared to when it was a different brand last year, but I am still satisfied. The gym facilities were small but clean, and it was nice to have coin-operated washing machines and dryers. However, the lack of EV charging is a significant drawback, so I am not sure if I will book again if EV chargers are not available for my next reservation.
