Although I couldn't see the sunrise from the room, the rooftop garden was well maintained so I could easily see the sunrise. It is about 40 minutes away from downtown Gyeongju, so it is not appropriate for sightseeing in downtown Gyeongju, but it is perfect for moving around the Ulsan, Gyeongju, and Pohang coastlines. Highly recommended as a Gampo travel accommodation. The room heating is a system air conditioner, so it's not very warm and it's inconvenient to have to turn it off when you sleep because of the noise. I couldn't use the swimming pool because it was winter, so I want to come back in the summer.

The lake view and the room condition were good. However, the area around the drain in the shower room was dirty and there was a bad smell throughout the shower, which was unpleasant. There was a gap in the shower room door and wall, so while showering, water flowed out onto the bathroom's dry floor and you had to wipe it with a towel and use the sink. It's a shame I did it

Quiet. I found a clean and seaside place, and I am very satisfied.
There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and all the restaurants are delicious.
I stayed for consecutive nights, but I didn't worry about eating. It's a good place to rest.
I'll come back again when it gets a bit cooler after the holiday season.
The price is cheap and the owner is especially friendly.

I stayed at the Commodore Hotel from May 7th to May 9th 2019on a trip to South Korea with a French group of nineteen people from Arts et Vie; being single I paid quite a large supplement to have a single room ,which I don't regret at all; my room was very large, very clean with all the necessary amenities;the bathroom was perfect ;the staff at the reception was very nice and helpful with sending photos on my smartphone to my family in France; i could change French euros to korean wons at a very good rate; yhe breakfast was delicious with a lot of choice:I really enjoyed the different kind of salads with the kiwi sauce! and the seaw****! Ienyoyed the cosy ,a little outdated atmosphere of the lobby and listening to the Philippine guitarist and singer while sipping a glass of chile wine at the cafe in thelobby .The surroundings of the hotel are great :it's so relaxing walking on the illuminated paths around the lake at sunsetlistening to music among Korean families enjoying the evening out; My only regret is that the pool was closed ,but I swam in Busan main beach 2 days later! Thank you for such a nice stay at the Commodore Hotel and tell the receptionist that the postcards I left at the reception have all arrived to their destination in France :Many Thanks for taking them to the post office; i will definitely come back to the Commodore hotel in Gyeongju on my next trip to Korea

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. My first impression was negative as the carpets in the hallways are stained, however, my opinion of the hotel quickly changed. While the rooms are small they are clean. The beds and pillows are very soft and comfortable. There is a shower curtain in the bathroom (a rarity in our travels in South Korea so far) and there are full sized towels. The location is great with public transportation and numerous restaurants and stores nearby. The front desk was very helpful in answering our questions. In addition, there is free laundry available, free umbrellas to use for rainy days and a nice rooftop terrace for relaxation. The breakfast costs 2000 won extra but it is well worth it and includes cereal, yogurt, free, toast, hard boil eggs, tea, coffee and juice. The highlight of the hotel, though, was access to a bathhouse for free. It's closed on Thursdays but is otherwise open from 5 am to 8 pm and is a great way to relax after a long day of hiking or sightseeing. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a centrally located, comfortable budget hotel.

It's the second trip to Gyeongju, but it's near Gyeongju City, so it's close to Bomun Park and Sundoubu Village.
The Bomun Lake was nice to walk and it was pretty and nice to Elouka.

First of all, the location is so good.
But I can hear the sound of water droplets and the sound of water flowing in the room from start to finish, in the early morning.
Stop by the sound of lighting and turning off in the next room ㅋㅋ..
So I left two texts to the boss, and the boss didn't get in touch.
I visited after seeing the review that it was clean and I thought it was the best. Even if it's 150,000 won for a car, it's really a place where 150,000 won is worth it...

GGuest UserSmall hotel with everything you need. One of the best & cleanest! Booked this place last minute and had no expectations, but boy were we surprised! We booked the deluxe as we were a family of 4: 3 singles and 1 queen. So everyone was able to sleep comfortable (& the bed were comfy). Very clean. Even the large bathroom was clean because it was through another door (near the entrance), it was quiet even when someone was using it in the middle of the night. We totally loved it and was so pleased to have found this gem. They had a very clean kitchen near the lobby that you could use and we brought our breakfast down every morning & ate there. They had free coffee/tea & filtered water system. Very convenient. Provided combs, hair ties, slippers, robes, even a reusable ”scrubbing shower towels” in their amenity pack - better than a 5star hotel! Can't stop talking about how great this little place was. And, of course, it was walking distance to the bus terminal, restaurants, bakeries, and quick access to bus 10 which took you to the temples. Just lovely! Thank you!

GGuest UserWe received warm and welcoming Korean hospitality on our short stay here. The hosts provided easy directions to find the Hanok, were waiting for us on the street on arrival and offered a run down of how we should best utilise our limited one night stay and provided us with a map and notes on what buses to use to get to the more outlying attractions (10 + 11) The Hanok is very well situated amongst the attractions we wished to see and we walked everywhere in the traditional town. Our room with two single beds was comfortable and warm (electric blanket supplied but not needed although it was a very cold night) We had an ensuite shower & toilet. Yes it’s a traditional home so the walls are thin, but all guests were respectful and kept talking to a whisper. I think like us, everyone had an early night after a full day of sightseeing. There is a kitchen available to use and a lovely traditional tea room. We had a delicious breakfast supplied on the roof deck the next morning before we set off for more sightseeing. Jung the host was kind enough to let us leave our bags there and had called a taxi for us later that day to take us to the train station. He is a well travelled man himself and knows what travellers need. Well worth your consideration when looking for a Hanok stay in this area.

Taxi in Gyeongju is more expensive than in Seoul. It takes about 8 to 10 minutes to take a taxi from Shin Gyeongju Station to the hotel.
The hotel service is very good. When we got up, the breakfast was over, but the waiter came out to let us have breakfast. By the way, breakfast is a buffet, so you can omelette yourself. Milk with oatmeal, orange juice, coffee.
It takes 3 to 4 minutes to go to the bus stop of Line 10 and Line 11, and be careful not to take the wrong direction.

GGuest UserThe hotel is new, so it's so clean and nice. There is also a bidet in the bathroom, a computer in the room, and Netflix on TV. ♡♡♡ The location is not far from Hwangridan-gil. It's dawn now, so it's still before breakfast, but it's breakfast at this price. I haven't climbed the rooftop, but there is also a rooftop ^^

SSS DiscoveryThis was a business trip so the location was perfect for my needs, however it's also very close to Gyeongju World Amusement Park if you staying for leisure. It is worth noting though that this location is just outside of Gyeongju city.
The hotel and room itself were very clean and included most of the basics including a bar fridge with some drinks, instant coffee mixes, tea and cup noodles.
The service itself was great, but the room and bed are not remade each day. However, amenities are replenished daily, such as the removal and replacement of used towels, trash cans and the drinks, coffee, tea and cup noodles.
Overall, a great stay.

Be aware the check in is 10pm - much later than others.
The room itself was fine, very happy and wanted to extend, but the staff member insisted checking out, then coming back at 10pm, even with extension.
When I asked him, he said “it’s not my business”. Terrible attitude. He then tried to charge 20,000 cash for keeping the “free upgrade” I was given. No idea why you give with one hand and take with the other.
Had to complain and argue and even still they refused refund for second day. Took me 3 hours or messaging to get money back. Just avoid. Sadly a great place, location so so but the staff member we dealt with was the worst person I’ve met in Korea.

We arrived, three hours after closing tiime, but the host person waited for us. He greeted us with real Korean kindness and respect. We walked in to a warm and clean room. we absolutely recommend this place and would come again.
The place is a away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the surrounding area is really beautiful. it was really lovely. We understand that some international travelers may not be able to get here easily, we came with a car so it’s great.

Uunknown3It is very convenient because it is close to the Gyeongju Expressway Sakai City Outer Bus Terminal and there are many dining rooms and convenience stores around. The city bus stop is also close to the city, and there are many buses to the city where the former Keishu station is located, so if you put the base here, you don't have to stick to staying in the city I think.

GGuest UserMolto nuovo e quindi pulitissimo. Struttura di tre piani posta in una strada laterale rispetto alla direttrice che porta al parco dei tumuli dove fermano tutti i bus. Molto silenzioso. Quindi abbastanza comodo anche se un po' fuori dal centro. Suggerisco di muoversi con i taxi per raggiungere i punti topici in città, che comunque stanno sempre attorno ai 5000 W, per evitare lunghe scarpinate inutili. Camera minuscola come al solito in linea con la classe di sistemazioni, ma immacolata e fornita di tutto. AC, TV, Frigo, wifi in camera, phon. Servizio molto apprezzabile, la disponibilità nella hall comune di macchinetta per caffé in diverse tipologie e come sempre di acqua gelata o bollente per il thè. Dato che al mattino la struttura non è presidiata fino alle 15:00, orario del checkin, la hall dispone di appositi armadi con serratura dove lasciare i bagagli ed and****ne in giro; servizio gratuito molto comodo.
