I stayed here for 2 nights with 10 fellow climbers. The room that was built around a large banyan tree was very comfortable. The inside of the mansion was kept well-cleaned, and the bath was comfortable. The dining hall where you eat is also well maintained. You can drink free coffee etc. in the common room. The menu included delicious dishes such as the island's famous sushi, kusaya, flying fish, bonito sashimi, and tempura with leaves. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 days of climbing Hachijo Fuji, Mt. Mihara, and sightseeing around the island. I would like to stay again if I have a chance.
