The facade and the hotel structure were less pleasing and I was worried when I arrived. There was no proper drop-off area.
The moment you step in, you don't feel the typical hotel because it's a museum kind.
The reception was at the back and the whole place looked put off.
I entered the room and the aircon conditioning was very poor and the room was hot (I stayed from 29 Apr to 1 May and the outdoor weather was hot!).
Honestly, I felt uncomfortable but after the initial impression set in, I began to feel the charm of the hotel.
The hotel painstakingly put up ornaments and the history's of Nanyang. It wasn't like a typical commercial hotel.
The room was spacious with no lack of amenities. Bed and pillows were good for sleep.
They provided laundry detergent and free laundry and drying service.
Breakfast was bad (please skip).
The location was superb!!! In the heart of Qilou Old Street, walking distance to Clock Tower (less than 10 mins) and Century Bridge (45mins by walk and 10mins by car).
Excellent foot massage (郑远元） within walking distance (less than 8mins).

The location is good near qilou old street. Hotel staff are all very helpful but room too dim. Makeup can be a bit challenging.

The hotel is next to the old street; iconic to hainan tourism. The hotel decor is unique. The cleaners were friendly and enthusiastic to make sure you got everything and more if you require. The rooms are clean and spacious. The receptionist needs to be more friendly.

The entire Nanyang theme hotel is very attractive and fascinating including room interior and exterior. Room is spacious and clean. Hotel within walking distance to eateries and the old street. Staff were friendly and patient.
There is no hooks to hang bath towel or clothes. No privacy partition between bathroom and bedroom. Seems to be the design issue for 3rd floor only.

After an unsatisfactory homestay for one night, we're back to this hotel due to its prime location and attentive staffs. We took the photo shootings and it's great experience. Very good stylish and photographer.
We stayed for another 4 nights this time and discovered the small and beautiful garden on the 4th floor.
Floor can be cleaner as we are not wearing shoes in the room. The sand in the room should be covered.
Great experience overall.

I am specifically thankful for the help we need from lady ( tourist guide) from the hotel to arrange a taxi from Haikou to Sanya.
For the tourist abroad facing a problem with apps call WeChat with this all the payments can be done.
It is widely used in China.
I downloaded it from Europe but can not connected bank card from a non Chinese bank.

Good location right next to Qi Lou old street.
Room is generally clean
Typical of Chinese hotel chain, toilet in room is pretty open and doesn’t offer much privacy

Cute tourist spot during holiday. Expect the village vibe. You need to explore the neighborhood since much in Haikou is closed for renovation or construction. Just stay away from Holiday Beach. The WetLands and sports area are dilapidated. Check out local whiskey bars and mini clubs with malls or nearby parks, because traffic is bad. Lots of bikes and scooters, so be careful. Hotel has great rooms but facilities might need some update. Ayi staff always working. Lee at reception doing bilingual checking of guests. Translation with others easy. Breakfast is at the restaurant outside of the hotel. Maybe a tea time would be nice for their beautiful libby, but coffee shop is down the road. Convenient store is right next to the hotel. Each of the rooms has artifacts in them. There are Hot Springs maybe 20 to 30 minutes away, but overall it’s a basic room with a lot of character. There is a hostel nearby as well as a few cafes with limited western menu. Shopping high cost, but it’s helping the village. Great spot to visit as a foreigner in Haikou near Qilou, tower, Haidian, Wulvyuan. Suggestion for the room is that there should be instant coffee and sweeteners to go with the lovely tea and waters. Maybe some fruit also. Great holiday stop rain or shine.
