Good location 👍🏻

From the beginning, the team at Haikou Wander Hostel was very supportive. An item was lost during a 2 am taxi ride to the hostel. Multiple members took the time to help me talk to customer support and retrieve it. The staff also showed me around the city and introduced me to the local cuisine. It was fantastic! Haikou Wander Hostel is a chill and fun atmosphere where you can do some computer work or read in the lounge. There also is a cafe and music/gameroom + bar. The room was elegant and comfortable. I enjoyed everything from the bed to the shower. I initially chose Haikou Wander Hostel Qilou Old Town for its location and what seemed like a strong sense community. It delivered on both. It is set right within the historic street and the level of hospitality was superb. I look forward to visiting my new friends there again in the near future. Cheers!

Great location (though 30 mins from the airport). The staff were helpful and upgraded our room. The hostel is in the middle of town and around the back is the bus stop for the #3 on/off tourist bus which takes you to the beach and harbour areas. A 2 hour round trip, so a nice cheap way … 5CNY (have the correct cash) to see the area. Lots of food options in the area, but make sure you eat up at lunch time as most places were not open at dinner time.

Room not so clean. Air conds in the room took ages to cool the room, probably air conds need servicing. Very basic amenities. Convenient if guest wanna stroll on Qilou old street and dine in some old coffee shop & hainanese foods. Coconut chicken steamboat was good, not far from hostel.

This place is a great hidden gem. The owner/ manager and team are resourceful and easy. I stayed 4 nights in total in Haikou and really recommended this place. Some nights there were band playing downstairs... but it's Haikou, everyone sleep very late. Last thing, GREAT COFFEE! Thanks for making my stay easy.

great place for visiting Haikou, great price value

The hotel is a little bit expensive for what you get. There is no aircon in the corridor and the rooms are extremely hot in summer. However, the aircon works well in the room and there is an intelligent toilet that reads books and tells you the recent news. Could be noisy depending on the room location. The staff is a bit lazy but friendly. Many people stay a long time in the hostel because they have troubles in life and hard childhood.

Great place to stay! The best location!

Staying in the 4-bed room (female). The bed was clean and everything is pretty straightforward. I am not a fan of the public squat toilet but it's clean enough better than the public toilet and no toilet paper was provided so you need to bring it yourself. I moved to private room because the location of this hostel is great and easy to go around.

Located in a nice old street. With street food all around. Hello bikes can be rented just next to the hotel to make a bike tour along the beach. Huge coffee in the morning.

The place is at the great location of Haikou, on the old street. You can find anything you want there. It is close to the electric bicycles if you want to cycle somewhere. The place is also accessible by car. The rooms were clean, the toilets either. There were shower appliances too. There is a coffee shop downstairs with multiple seats and electric plugs if you need to work. In the evening, the bar is opened with live music. The only downside was maybe the tenants who liked to listen to the Tiktok music or watch videos loud. But, compared to other places I went in China, it was a very minor issue. Recommend to everyone!

Nice place in a great street, but not the most social place. Good for a cheap couple of nights.
