It’s a great hotel at a very good price. You would pay about three times in Europe for this convenience. The buffet restaurant has very good selection of sushi and fish and meats, and the beer is included. The Chinese restaurant is also pretty good at a reasonable price. If you need a few things for shopping, just go across the street near the Holiday Inn.

I came to this hotel during the summer of 2022, and they were working on the beach, but we still had access to it. I wanted to return because it was a very relaxing experience. I returned for the 2023 Spring Festival, and it was even better because the beach had been renovated. This trip was very relaxing and enjoyable. I would return to Haikou Shangri-La because the staff and other guests were friendly and helpful.

It is located in the west of Haikou, next to the Haikou Municipal People's Government. It is surrounded by new residential areas and is relatively quiet, but a bit far from the old city. There are underground parking spaces and it is very convenient to drive to Haikou Duty Free in 10 minutes.

Great stay! Location is away from the crowds which we wanted. Was nice and quiet. Big swimming pools. One is mostly shaded which all the kids go to. The other is mostly sunny and hardly ever any people at all times of day!!! Hotel room was really great. Beds and pillows super comfortable. Breakfast is amazing with a million choices. We did the all you can eat buffet one night at the Island Bistro which was great, especially if you like seafood. Didi is super fast and accessible at the hotel. Highly recommended if you want quiet and away from the crowds but still want to go into town and see the sites! Hotel is about a 20 minute didi into the old city.

A very convenient hotel. There is Yuanda Shopping Mall nearby, which is just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel lobby is quite grand. It feels relatively quiet and not too noisy. The breakfast is pretty good, with a full range of varieties! One small suggestion is that the curtains in the room cannot be completely closed, and there is a gap left by the card slot on the top. In the next few days, I called someone to fix it, but I still couldn't get through to the front desk. Hygiene: Praise the auntie who does hygiene. Her service attitude is very good. She even offered to give me brown sugar ginger tea when I had a cold. There were too many mosquitoes in the room, and even plugging in electric mosquito coils didn't work. The children were bitten all over. Environment: The layout of the duplex sea view room is very unreasonable. The most obvious thing is that the shower rooms upstairs and downstairs are transparent, which is very inconvenient for a family of young and old. The lighting design of the room is also unreasonable. For people like me who have trouble sleeping when there is little light, it is too uncomfortable. The light upstairs will completely affect the downstairs, which will seriously affect my sleep. Service: The service is generally good, but the hardware equipment is not good and the room design is unreasonable. The room rate includes 2 breakfasts. For a room that can accommodate 4 people, the other two people need to pay for themselves. This is unreasonable. It is 98 per person. There are not many types of buffet. I booked five days and four nights and ate the buffet for four days. I got tired of it in the end. The key is that there are no other options near the hotel. All in all, it is recommended to consider it appropriately when traveling as a family.
