Great location, very close to Iwatake ski resort.
We stayed here for 5 nights. The Japanese-style rooms were spacious, not stuffy or cramped. They had en-suite bathrooms, were clean, and had a warm, cozy atmosphere, making for a very comfortable sleep. The breakfast was delicious, and the dinners were absolutely amazing – a different one every day of the 5 nights! The owner, an elderly lady, cooked everything herself; it was like mom's cooking, with a variety of styles from authentic Japanese to Western and fusion.
We'll definitely be back next year!

The house was great, although the stairs to the second floor were a bit narrow and carrying luggage up was a struggle 😅. The breakfast was very homey, but we had to make our own futon and I think the duvet was inside out haha. Overall, it was really good and cozy, and only 5km from the ski resort.

Huge room provided but need to take note no restaurant is nearby unless you are fine to walk 30 minutes+. There is a small onsen available separately for man and woman
