We had an amazing time in this wonderful place. As I am a traveler of named hotels, i never expected such amazing service in this little place. But it was above the expectations. Mostly this is is good for family gang who is looking for privet party in the garden. This gives us a home feeling as the staff were always behind us to serve. We never expected a big variety of food corner. But there were mini buffet with all three meals with very tasty and traditional sri lankan food. Especially we love the lake fish curry they given us which was fabulous. There is a lake next to the hotel. Actually this is really value for money Awsome family gateway experience. They did best for us. Special thanks for all the staff, chefs and service staff. You guys really made our holiday special. Cheers.

All the details are a little sorry for this price. 1. Individual staff do not know how to adapt, and their attitude is also very poor. Later, I found the manager to settle the matter. The result of the solution is relatively satisfactory, indicating that the hotel management staff's thinking is still ok, but the first impression is already bad and it is difficult to recover. 2. For a hotel at this price, there was no one at the front desk early in the morning, and there was no one after waiting for a long time. A lot of time was wasted. 3. Although it is an experience of nature, there are many insects in the room, which can make you sleep unsteadily. 4. The room lighting is too dim and too dim to be brightened. 5. The hotel has a total of more than 10 rooms, the area is not big, but the activity area is not big, there is no special feature, it is really not worth the price. 6. The only remarkable thing is the restaurant, every dish is delicious. The restaurant staff is also very professional and very nice and serious.

Stayed here by chance and I was very happy we did. Literally in the Yala safari area beautiful jungle cabanas. Nice clean and modern decor. We ate here because town is quite a drive away and a lamp lit table was set out near the lake. Morning was a delight when we woke and looked over the lake with wild water buffaloes. Will be returning

AAyuzzzzzzThe hotel is relatively new, but it is a bit far from Yala National Park, but I think it is still worth staying for two more nights! This is a hotel that has received unanimous praise on our trip. The environment is very good. My friend did not go to Safari, so he had breakfast in the restaurant and said that the environment of the restaurant was very good and the food was delicious! I think it is still very worthwhile, and it is not very expensive, and the cost performance is very high! The swimming pool is very beautiful to watch the stars at night. I was hungry at 10 o'clock in the evening and ordered a midnight snack on the rooftop. I was the only one there, and they also served very attentive. In short, I strongly recommend this hotel, it's really good~
HHUANThe beach at the hotel is too wavy to swim and can only bask in the sun. But not far away, there is another public beach more than 100 meters, where you can swim. There are many choices for buffet breakfast and dinner, and the taste is good. Of course, there are occasional mistakes, such as grilled too raw beef shoulder. There are very few things for children to entertain. There is a game room where you can draw, watch TV, play games, etc., but the maintenance is not very good. The service is generally good, ushered in. However, there are more ingredients for the show, and some details need attention. Overall, the price / performance ratio is average, and it should be done.
__cb5527428911503817The hotel is beautifully landscaped and integrated with the golf course. Although the beach sand is fine, it is brown, which seems not very suitable for play. The hotel has a lot of entertainment items, including small water park, swimming pool, billiards, table tennis, yoga, etc .; hotel rooms, lobby, BBQ, etc. are very beautiful. The only disadvantage is that the outside of the hotel is relatively barren. There are no other restaurants and restaurants.
NNahid ImaniAmazing location. In the middle of a forest and just beside the sea. Booked Jungle Chalet and the room was big and good. Found a spider in the room which was scary but I think OK for a place situated in the middle of jungle. Saw wild boars running around our room, crocodiles in the lake near hotel entrance and small animals and peacocks. Other than Yala Safari there is nothing much to do in the hotel other than swimming in the pool. Had full board and the dining experience was good. Bar service is also good.
JJIANZHONGHotel service is good, breakfast is good, ordering is not bad, live on the second floor with balcony, swimming pool in front of the building, very quiet, the birds in the night are very loud, go to Safari alone, you will be a chartered car, inform the hotel in advance to pack breakfast The cost of renting a car to other places is relatively high. The location is not on the street, it takes about 5 kilometers to walk to the lake. The overall is very good, very casual!
GGuest UserThe hotel is not that simple to get to. Once you leave a nice hard top road, you have to drive down a long dirt road for about 10 mins to get to the hotel itself. That road can become a bit flooded if it rains hard - as it did on one day we were there - and that can prevent some guests getting in and out of the hotel. We’d had a lovely quiet evening meal one night and only found out afterwards that there had been a large group due in but couldn’t get down the road. Generally, it’s ‘normal’ vehicles and buses that bring people but, on occasion, a 4x4 would be better. On the days we arrived and left the roads were passable but you could see how they become easily impassable with rivulets running across it. The hotel though is lovely. The old one was washed away in the tsunami but the replacement looks strongly built, with its exposed concrete and stone construction there for all to see. That doesn’t make it cold and like a factory though. Far from it. It feels like it belongs where it is and its appropriate for a climate that varied between sun, wind and heavy rain whilst we were there. Whilst there are bedrooms on the ground floor (plus the gym and spa), most of the hotel’s common spaces are on the top floor, where reception, the bar and a la carte restaurant are. The main restaurant is one floor down, which has a nice view from the verandas around the outside. We had drinks in the bar on a couple of evenings, choosing to sit on the covered balcony as the indoor space - complete with pool table - whilst lovely was rather cold. The cocktails we had were really well made and come with our recommendation. We didn’t try the a la carte restaurant. Frankly, there was no need to from a food perspective. It was excellent all the time in the main one. The hotel tends to get large groups stay, who like to sit together (and create quite a noise), so the main restaurant can get quite noisy. The a la carte would offer a break from that as it’s in its own, quiet space. We genuinely couldn’t fault the food at the hotel. Breakfast always had a large choice ranging from cold offerings, cereal and salad, through to traditional Sri Lankan and hot western options. Tea and coffee was to order whilst you helped yourself to juice. The story was similar for evening meals too. If anything, evening meals catered less for western palettes and more for the Chinese guests that frequent the hotel. There were always lots of local Sri Lankan dishes too, which were simply delicious. All the hot food was outside the main restaurant space, under cover, with much of it being cooked in front of you. The cold starters and desserts were indoors. I have to say, one odd highlight was the soups. Every night there were 2 soups on offer and they were really good. I did have a tiny bug bear sometimes, which correlated with the busiest nights. That was the staff were a little too keen to clear plates. On occasion, you’d literally be chewing still and hadn’t quite put your cutlery dow
GGuest UserVery close to Lake Thieu, the room is about 30 square meters, consistent with the picture, wild hotel, furniture facilities do not have too high expectations, there is a small creature inside is normal and acceptable. Someone helped carry luggage to the room when staying at the hotel. The dinner was very rich, the meal was included in the reservation, which was better than the restaurant we had eaten a few days ago, and the price was super high. Service in the meal is also good. Because the next day I had to get up early to go to Yarra Park, the hotel's packed breakfast was also very rich.
ЗЗеThe hotel is located in a great location, close to Yalla Park. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake. Many thanks to the manager who helped us organize our safari. I want to point out the strange behavior of the ladies at the reception. Not customer-oriented.
GGuest UserMy original plan of a 1-night stay turned into 3 nights purely based on the property and the team. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, with clean linen and towels. The wooden floors are a nice look and feel. The air-conditioning works very well. An unbelievable amount of space for work / lounging. The room itself has a work desk which is perfect for remote work. The balcony is small but functional, and overlooks the majestic Tissa Lake. Spacious terraces on the 1st and 2nd levels as well as a rooftop with spectacular views of the surrounding fields and the lake. I got plenty of work done and attended web-based meetings in peace, against an amazing backdrop. At the end of the day it is the people that make a difference, and this is where Yasith and his team were exemplary. From his kind, attentive service to the care he displays to guests and the property (and of course by the way he treats Kalu, the adorable orphaned puppy), Yasith leads from the front. I noted among other things his meticulous bookkeeping skills, which is a rare find for any property. Suffice to say I have found my stay whenever I return to Tissa. What better place for a morning/evening stroll than the bank of Tissa lake. For any reasonable person willing to stay at a 3-star hotel and not expect 5-star amenities, Serene Park Hotel by Ark has all the right things in place. Full disclosure, I did not have any meals at the premises; as I am very familiar with Tissa I enjoy the many local options available nearby.
GGuest UserFantastic Yala Safari and great little hotel! We had a great time staying here - and went on a great Jeep safari with Pasanna organised through the hotel. The whole family (2 teenage boys) were totally enthralled by the safari and would totally recommend Pasanna! We went on the full day safari (starting at 430am … totally worth the early start to be the first in the park!!) - which allowed a full day of immersion and a slightly more relaxed pace. (The half day safaris seemed much less relaxed…). Pasanna the driver/ guide has over 13 years experience in the park, had great 4wd drive skills, clearly knew all of the possible routes in the park - and was passionate about showing us all that was possible in the park! He was excellent at spotting hard to see animals! Note that all jeeps have to have 12-2 as rest time in the park …. We easily passed it having lunch and reading books- when the jeeps are not allowed to drive around) . We managed to see a great selection of animals including 2 leopards (which I hear is very rare), multiple families of elephants with their babies which we were able to watch for an extended period of time, water buffalo, deer, samba deer, mongoose, jackals, monkeys, peacocks, lots of amazing birds, crocodiles, monitors and bats. It truly felt like the jungle book. We got home tired, but truly satisfied with the experience! Definitely felt like it was value for money.
