Think this Premier Inn is in our top 3 if not number 1. Booked Premier Plus. Spotless room. Food excellent. Staff above and beyond. Treats in room for hubby’s 70th birthday. Second stay here and won’t be our last. Shame about parking charges now but we had booked 10 months ago so was free.

Had a lovely stay, good location, very clean and tidy room Bed was very comfortable and really quiet

Clean and tidy. Room smelling nice and fresh. Superb shower clean and well stocked with shower gel and wash. Comfortable bed.

Reception staff awful try and argue with request made for room change trying to blame it on full hotel and did not make us feel welcome at all. Restaurant staff on the other hand went above and beyond to make eating pleasureful. 1 room heating never warmed up and second room we had to change all the bedding as there was hair pen and all sorts on sheets at 11.45Pm

I booked this accommodation before reading the reviews & when I did, I wondered what I’d let myself in for! But it was only 1 night so…. We were very pleasantly surprised. The parking was £3 for overnight. The hotel itself is clean & bright with a lift for those who prefer it. The restaurant is not cheap, I agree, but the food was very tasty & hot, and the plates were hot! The service was relaxed; not what I would call slow. The staff were pleasant & helpful. Our only real criticism is that the room was very warm; there are no opening windows, and the AC is noisy. Other than that, we’d be happy to go back there

Arriving at 0100 hours and departing at 0800 hours I resented paying £8 for seven hours parking. This will have an effect on any future booking I consider making.

Some Premier Inn’s can be a bit impersonal, but this one was fantastic, the staff were really attentive and helpful. The restaurant was inside the hotel, so not a separate brand. The food was really good and served efficiently and quickly. Makes a pleasant change when away on business

Aircon failed through the night - the only window was a non-opener.We were not likely to get dressed & call reception to report the problem - I intended to report it at reception the following morning but it was unmanned with the option to just put the room card in a box. We both had headaches & quite frankly just couldn't wait to get out of the building

I have stayed in this Premier Inn on 4 occasions over the last few years and it's an excellent fairly new Premier Inn. However, despite its location on the outskirts of Thirsk in the middle of a housing estate, meaning absolutely nobody except the guests ever park in the car park, Premier Inn have now decided to start charging £8 a day to use the car park. Why? Especially when you can park in the street right outside (no parking restrictions as far as I'm aware) for free. Ripoff!
