Novotel Tainui Hamilton Reviews

We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed the stay at this property. We haven't been really active on Accor brands as we are top tier with Marriott Bonvoy. But our recent stays across several Novotel locations will make us consider building up more stays with them.

Welcome was good. The reception staff were friendly and accommodated our request for a river facing room. Overall the service was just okay for it's price. For its price, I feel that parking should be included. A limited parking that can be reserved at $36 was offered when I called in a day before as well as a free parking further down the hotel that is not guaranteed. We availed of the additional $36, this includes a valet service. The hotel room design was as expected of Novotel hotels, but it was not up to it's best standard. The remote control and kettle in our room was dusty. Amenities needed to be requested, I did this in advance during booking. But there were no slippers in the room upon arrival except for the 4 towels requested. Breakfast buffet was just the usual fare.

Chef Sanjay was great. Very helpful and prepared breakfast as well wanted. Very nice cook and excellent person to talk to.

Location is good. Bed is comfortable. But the carpet and the corridor looks old. Also have to pay parking fee for NZD52/night .

Had an amazing stay at Novotel Tainui Hamilton. The room was excellent, and the staff made this a memorable stay. One of the best hotels in Hamilton.

You get what you expect from Novotel. Hard to find parking unless you pay for valet.

Nice hotel in a great central location - many eateries and places in the city within walking distance. If you get a river view room, you’ll have a lovely view of the river. Modern rooms that appear to be newly renovated.

It is by the river, the environment is very good, there are free parking spaces by the river, but the number is limited. If you can't find a free parking space, you can choose valet parking. Disadvantages: There are urine stains on the toilet seat. At 10 o'clock in the morning, the cleaning staff knew that there were people in the house, but they knocked on the door and opened it, and urged us to check out.

Very satisfied. The service is very good. I asked for an extra bath towel and it was also delivered politely. There is a restaurant on the first floor! Parking space is OK!

Overall it's not bad, the room is not big, the condition is OK. The price is a little higher.

The location is very good. There is a river next year. It is really comfortable to walk along the river in the evening. The nearest supermarket is only a 10-minute drive away.

The bedding is good and clean. The hotel is very messy. The service attitude is very poor. It feels arrogant. Parking in the hotel is very inconvenient. You have to park at the Skycity next to it. It costs 38nzd/night. The pillows are uncomfortable and are only worth 600 yuan at most. Very low value for money.

Booked for civil servants. It’s the best in the area. It’s high-end. After all, it’s an international four-star hotel.
