Tuisuneo Royal Kenz

Just finished a weeks stay and it’s mixed emotions , first thing I must say are the staff are fantastic , so friendly , helpful , kind and polite , as good as anywhere I’ve been and more , speedy check in , nice reception/ lobby area , both outside pools were clean and a nice temperature . I didn’t use the spa but was told by several people it was good value . The rooms and hotel in general are a little tired and lacking that special touch , it’s not awful but just needs more to make it feel a proper 4 star , air con was fine , which was good after a day in the sun . Now restaurant / meals , food was nice and plenty of options , breakfast / lunch and evenings , the smaller restaurant at lunch is lovely and nice and cool and again staff fantastic , salads , cooked food to order , couldn’t fault , bar and snack bar at beach again could of done with some tlc , nice sandy beach and plenty of loungers , it’s a 2 or 3 minute walk to the beach , not far , it’s got its own kinda private path to it , passing a bit of a building site en route , but fine and felt safe . The main restaurant in the evening was interesting , done it 2 sittings 6.30 to 7.45 and 9-30 , the earlier sitting is fine and quieter but the later one is total free for all and very busy , but again the staff were great and a special mention to Marquane who was a credit to the hotel and made our meal times extra special , so hard working and friendly , can’t praise him enough , all in all was a nice stay , just needs a freshen up 👍

This is a lovely hotel and the staff worked tirelessly but it is certainly not worthy of the four star rating it has been awarded. The decor is very tired, repairs are long overdue and general maintenance was of a low standard. That being said, the food was of a good standard but could be better prepared, the ents team were excellent and worked their socks off. The bar staff were not very welcoming during the day at the pool bar but the other bars and the late shift bar staff were really nice. The restaurant staff were very good and proactive. The cleaner that we had was very poor overall, forgetting to replace towels and not cleaning generally. The spa was outstanding. The pools were very good and clean. One downside in particular was that the toilets by the stage were dirty and broken for the duration of our trip (2 weeks). Other toilets were of an okay standard. We had a lovely break and would return in the future.

This is our first trip to Tunisia, and we chose an all inclusive break at this hotel with TUI. The airport transfer from Hammamet took around 30 mins, the driver was very polite and welcoming and there were TUI staff aboard to help with any questions. Upon arrival at the hotel we were helped with our bags and offered refreshments by the professional and polite reception team. So far so good! Our rooms are clean and well appointed, if a touch dated but this didn’t negate our experience. Rooms are cleaned daily and pretty towel arrangements with flowers are a nice surprise. The staff at the hotel are really helpful and always have a warm smile. Most of the staff are multi lingual to the point where I wish I had learned a little Arabic or French to seem less ignorant! The restaurant team are top notch, doing everything possible to welcome you to your table and ensure the drinks keep flowing and you have everything you need during your meal. The selection of food is vast with something to suit everybody and being freshly prepared to keep the selections topped up throughout service. It can get a little busy in the restaurant at times but the staff do their best to ensure you are seated promptly. The entertainment team are amazing! Mr Bean especially made us feel like old friends and is a naturally charming and entertaining character. We thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Changing Ladies’ drag act and headed down to the theatre most nights to check out what was on. The resort feels so safe, I am happy to leave my belongings by the sun lounger whilst I take a dip, knowing that the pool attendants and security will keep an eye. Having three daughters with us I am comforted by the fact that the culture here feels safe and respectable. I also want to mention the gardening team who keep the gardens in beautiful condition. We will certainly return to this hotel in the future - money well spent for a relaxing and fun week in the sun 🥰
