It was my first trip to Hangzhou. I wanted to celebrate my husband’s birthday here and it was totally impromptu. What I was looking for: 1) a closer location to the West lake - to walk there, not to ride; 2) a balcony or courtyard; 3) and/or at least a beautiful view and surroundings; 4) as we love tea and really interested in Chinese tea culture, some tea plantation nearby could be a plus! Not many hotels seemed to meet my requirements and those which fit were way beyond our budget. Xunzhenshe hotel looked very pretty but their description was not very clear. Anyway, considering that I was booking our room just a day (!) before our arrival on Friday night, Xunzhenshe seemed to be my only choice with just two rooms left. To be honest, I didn’t expect much when we arrived. However, from the beginning the service was outstanding with a personal approach. At the hotel they greeted us as we were VIPs. Celia, an English-speaking lady, who contacted me after my booking, was extremely helpful. She gave us few recommendations about Hangzhou and the area nearby. She showed us the tea plantation just next to the hotel and a room where farmers were drying tea leaves - it was quite short but interesting introduction to the hotel environment. The hotel itself is owned and managed by a former architect. The building was built based on construction principles of the Song dynasty. As I understand, all ground floor units have their own courtyard. There is a parking lot, a tea room and a restaurant at the hotel. We were given a non-smoking one-bedroom apartment in a quieter part of the hotel and could enjoy our morning tea in our small but elegant courtyard. The apartment was clean with all necessary amenities. There was a kitchen and a dining room with a huge table (we didn’t use this room though). The breakfast buffet was included in the rate, however they offered mostly Chinese food (no problem for us as we love it). Our dinner and breakfast food were delicious! Also, we so much appreciate totally unexpected birthday presents to my husband. Upon arrival he found a little gift with a touching handwritten birthday message and then birthday noodles were served at the restaurant. So, it was very unique and memorable celebration! After all, I was really happy with my hotel’s choice. To conclude what we loved the most about this hotel: 1. Attentive and caring service 2. Nature and beautiful surroundings 3. Very good location: just next to the West lake park and bridges. Walkable distance to the famous night show Impression and Su Causeway. Not far away to Leifeng pagoda and Longjing and Meijiawu villages. 4. Good Chinese restaurant with a terrace just next to the tea plantation 5. Amazing tea Me and my husband had a great time in Xunzhenshe. Highly recommend it to those who love places with soul.

The hotel has an elegant environment and unique style, and fully enjoys the natural oxygen bar of West Lake. The children love the room here and don't want to go out. The air conditioning is powerful and the cooling effect is very good. Before checking in, the housekeeper Xiaolin communicated the traffic restriction reminders and parking issues in time, without any worries. Especially after we checked out, we encountered a heavy rainstorm when visiting West Lake. We were all soaked in half an hour's walk and returned to the hotel in a mess. The housekeeper actually helped us open a room to wash and rest. It was touching! This is the real people-oriented service! The midnight snack also sent fresh corn juice and eye masks and other warm little items. Dining in the hotel restaurant can also be discounted. We had two good meals and the taste was good! The location is nothing to say, but there are still so many parking spaces, which is undoubtedly a scarce resource by the West Lake. It is within walking distance of West Lake and Lingyin Temple!

The green vines of trumpet creepers in the courtyard are growing well, the environment is good, the room is spacious, the table is dust-free, the housekeeper Yingying gave us cakes as souvenirs, helped us carry our luggage to the car, the service was considerate, and the taxi we took could drive directly to the lobby door, which made travel very convenient. I will bring my family to stay here next time I travel.

The room is clean and hygienic, and the details of the layout are full, and sincerity can be felt everywhere. The bathtub is very big and great, and the children have a lot of fun. The Qincha class is very unique. Thank you Teacher Zhou for your patient explanation and considerate care for the children. Yuanyuan and the hotel team are warm and thoughtful, and you can feel the warmth everywhere. They also gave us a small gift before leaving👍

The housekeeper Junjun provided thoughtful service, and the staff were very enthusiastic. If I was not satisfied with the room type, he immediately took me to see the new room. He was considerate of the customers. The room was large, with a view of the tea garden, a comfortable bed, and complete facilities.

The hotel is in Chinese style with beautiful environment. There is free parking in the parking lot in the courtyard. The traffic restrictions on weekends are also reported in advance. The housekeeper Junjun is warm, active and thoughtful. The breakfast is rich in variety and delicious. The room is spacious, clean and well-equipped.

A late review. Actually, I have stayed here many times in recent years. This is the first time I have written a review. Because of the special location, good environment, convenient parking, floor heating in winter, and convenient for visiting scenic spots in summer, the hotel has its own tea garden. Dining and afternoon tea are very pleasant. The Hangzhou Flower Garden is opposite the door. After passing the flower garden, Quyuan Fenghe is right outside. There are classics on the left and right. It is in the scenic area. This time I went in a hurry. I didn't look carefully when booking the room. There were problems that needed coordination. Even if I arrived in the middle of the night, the front desk helped to solve them. The restaurant also tasted good. Generally speaking, it is located in the scenic area, the service is good, the location is convenient, and the price-performance ratio is good. It was a very comfortable stay. I learned a lot from the tea and guqin lessons. The teacher's performance was pleasing to the eye. Photographer Shaojie took many beautiful photos of us under the ancient trees in the tea garden. The front desk Xiao Wang was considerate and meticulous. He extended our check-out time and sent us a new door card in time. The breakfast was rich and delicious, and we enjoyed it in the beautiful scenery of the tea garden. Thank you very much.

I took my kids out for a trip and chose this hotel, which is very close to the scenic spot and convenient for access. The service is very good and the location is right in the scenic area. We arrived late and were given a free upgrade if there was a vacant room, and breakfast was also given. When we left, there was also a souvenir of 18 seeds, which was very thoughtful. If you get up early to take a walk to Lingyin Temple, you can walk, but it is a bit far. It is also convenient to rent a bicycle or electric bike at the door.

The room is clean, big and spacious. The breakfast is very good, of good quality and with many varieties. It is close to the tea garden. The hotel is in a good location, close to West Lake and Lingyin. The housekeeper Junjun is very enthusiastic. He helped to delay the check-out when the children were sleeping. He is very caring!

You can also drink tea in the tea garden. Jiuquhongmei and Longjing are both very good. The Guqin experience class is also very good. I will stay here again next time. Great.
