The first room the assigned to us was very dirty as if it was never cleaned. Smell of cigarette smoke was strong in the hallway and seeped into our room. Had to sleep with window open in freezing winter otherwise suffocated by the smoke. Next day we requested change of room which was slightly cleaner but the cigarette smoke was never resolved. Apparently there was no control and local guests were just smoking in their room and even lobby (staff did not say anything). Room cleaning was only to take our trash and housekeeping staff did not even clean the floor or bathroom until you asked her to do so. Please be careful when you book a room because they may assign you a room on 16/17 floor which requires climbing stairs (many guests complained about this).

If all you want is a bed to crash then this is fine and the location convenient. But if you think you might spend some time inside the room then I suggest choosing one of the many more expensive alternatives nearby where carpets and floors are clean and rooms don’t stink of stale cigarette smoke.

Hotel was in ok location, not so far from metro, walkable distance, but the perks is it's in the center of almost everything-walking distance. The lake view is splendid, and staff was lovely to allow me to check in early

The room is very clean and the service attitude is very good. Very enthusiastic. I will book this hotel next time. It is also close to the subway and West Lake. It is very cost-effective!

Stayed in room 1517. I don't know what was making noise outside the room, like the sound of boiling water in a kettle, which kept on making noise all night and made us unable to sleep well. The room was very small.

The room was clean, but I don't understand why they built a dry and wet separation layout but didn't install a door. Is that any different from not having it? When I asked the front desk about travel methods, they only told me to find a tour group. If I said I didn't want to go with a tour group, they didn't know anything.

It was really an eye-opener. Have you ever seen a hotel that lets you listen to the noise from the chess and card room all night? I had to stay up all night. Every time I was about to fall asleep, I was woken up by the noise, and it was vibrating. It was simply torture. The first call to the customer service number was useless. After the second call, the noise became worse. The piercing noise every few minutes in the middle of the night really made people desperate. This is a standard room that costs more than 400 yuan a night. It is located above the chess and card room. It is expensive and bad. The customer service said that there is no room to change. Such a room is not sleepable at all. The next day, I changed a room. The bathroom was very small. The air conditioner dripped water all night, and everything on the table was soaked.
