We went for Sunday lunch, none of us had eaten here before, but had heard good things. Beautiful setting, and really tastefully decorated, allowing for the character of the pub to be ever present. Sunday lunch was one of the best I’ve had in ages! Plenty of roast potatoes and vegetables, so often when sharing veg there isn’t enough, but not here! White wine was served perfectly chilled, which is another thing other pubs get wrong. We did have to wait a while for our order, but it was cooked fresh and well worth the wait

I booked all 4 of their rooms for 2 nights for my family as my daughter was getting married at the church in the village. The Jolly Tar and staff could not have been better. All of the rooms were spotless. Serviced between nights. Food was lovely. The burgers were a big hit.. The breakfast was outstanding according to my dad.!! Staff couldn't do enough, absolute 5 star treatment. I can't thank you enough for looking after them so well. I will bring them back for lunch on the anniversary!! Thank you x
