An absolutely magical town with a cozy Mercury Hotel is a must-see! everything is beautiful, clean, the breakfast is excellent, German quality in everything! From the train station there is a red ***** for tourists and leads through all the attractions. Thanks TRIP.com for my trip ❤️

- At the time of writing (August 2024), there are renovations with scaffolding on the outside. You have to draw your curtains if you don't want to be seen. - When I arrived at 0100, reception could not check me in for ten minutes. I guess that it was an IT problem. - The WiFi is pretty slow + My room was quiet and comfortable + The location is central, without being noisy + The staff were very friendly and welcoming I would happily stay here again.

I am used to come here sometimes for few days. Location is good ok, room is good ok, but why a single breakfast without hot dishes this morning cost 25Eur / persons? Even some palace do not ask for so much. I was gonna stay maybe 2 or 3 more nights. I will finally go to Marriott on the side of the lake.

We have an "all you can eat" breakfast buffet with hot and cold dishes, desserts, coffee specialties (a single cappuccino in a café costs €4.50), juices, yogurt, muesli and fruits. Every guest can eat their fill for €25. If there are no hot dishes on the buffet due to low numbers of guests, these can easily be ordered fresh from the staff. We also put up an information board about this. Have you seen the board? You are welcome to try to get a cheaper room facing the lake at the Marriott: breakfast costs 26€. Stayed at this hotel for one night only. The reason I made the booking was because the pictures looked nice on **********, and for the main reason that there was parking. When I came to the hotel I had to use a car-elevator to get to an extreamly tight parking spot. Scary as f… to drive in to the elevator with a Tesla that almost didn’t fit. The reception, bar and breakfast room is nice, but the room had a strange smell and did not match the rest of the hotel. It was ok for one night, but I will not return.

The location of this hotel is excellent for getting out and about. We stayed here for the Christmas markets and they where only a 10 minute walk away. We didn't eat in the hotel but we used the bar every night and it was great!! The check in was easy and painless and we were welcomed by polite and friendly staff who took time to explain everything. Room was okay as rooms go it had it all, was well equipped and clean, towels were changed for the whole five nights that we were there. To get to the train station from the airport is easy just a train ride away, then a taxi costing just 8 euro's. Our intention is to return to Hannover again for the Christmas markets next year and we will stay here again. All in all we had a great short city break made easier by the great staff and the hotel it's self.

It is a really nice hotel not far form the main train station (about 12-15 minute walk). Nice, quiet and clean rooms (I was actually upgraded), very good breakfast and lovely service. Will definitely be staying there again.

It's been mire then 20 years now that I've been using this hotel. Ever since the first moment I walked in here I felt welcome, appreciated and valued. Close to the city center, nic modern and clean rooms. Good breakfast buffet. There have been occasions where I was forced to select another hotel but having a free choice, I will come back to this one. A good place to stay and above all, a wonderful staff of friendly, customer orientated employees.

Positives: - central location (sort of, still takes a 10 min walk, 15 min to the central station) - okay check in (asked me to sign a form even though I did the online check in) - friendly staff (check in, bar, breakfast) Negatives: - reserved a double room, got two singles - no coffee, tea facilities in room (only the premium rooms have that....really??) - bed very hard to the point it is uncomfortable - weak pillows (add the 2 available but that still did not do the job) - no USB connection in room at all - no upgrade (despite premier Accor status) - breakfast is very basic (scrambled eggs were a massive block, clearly industrial) - shower is too low (I am 1.91m and had to bow to shower) - toilet seat is made for midgets (incredibly low), doorblocker is in the way If you add it all up I don't think it was worth the EUR 175 I paid....at all

Room was dirty! Toilet was broken. They had a children group in the hotel (but its actually hostel) those kids were drunk, we informed the reception but they didn’t change the room, promised to stop singing (group of kids were singing everywhere, corridors, rooms) all hotel was full with drunk children, we informed reception but reaction was ZERO. Property looks so old, its a real hostel, dirty, housekeepers were speaking to each other so loud they woke us up at 7 am, reception next day even did not apologize, I had a feeling like they are unhappy with their job, they look so sad & indifferent. housekeeping…. Probably they don’t have. Look at the pictures & you will guess. Atmosphere is definitely depressive! Mostly because staff is so unhappy. Oh welcome…. They don’t know what is welcome, they even don’t know why they work there. So my suggestion is DON’T BOOK this hostel!!!!
