STAY AWAY FROM THE MADELISE CHAIN OF HOTELS IN HANOI
we got to the hotel
madelise stardust hotel at location
11 P. Nguyễn Thái Học, Str, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội 100000 at 1PM which is a location close to the Hanoi train station, which is what we wanted.
We were told that the hotel is under renovation when we wanted to checkin, but it doesnt look like it. We were then told by the staff to change to
Madelise Central Hotel & Travel at
3 Hàng Mắm, Lý Thái Tổ, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội 100000 which is a location that we DONT want!
when we arrived at this new location (1.30pm) we were given an old room with a non functioning aircond (room 501)
when this happened we check on google and we saw many people saying this place is a SCAM (we screenshot and attached here) - you can see reasons why people complaint and you can see bad and damaged furniture, fittings that is not worth the price. Smelly room also
at 1.45 PM we argued with the receptionist and they tried to calm us down by giving another room (room 805), the room is even smaller with no windows that could be open!
(we attached the video) I think my wife got bitten by bed bug
at 2PM we booked another hotel costing us 2x the price because this is peak time on the 1 January in Hanoi.
We demand a full refund of the hotel and giving us a bad experience in Hanoi which we love. Everybody please be responsible and report this hotel chain MADELISE chain of hotel in Hanoi as we booked on trip, they should also be responsible

Hotel are sales overbooked rooms when we arrive at the hotel there are non available rooms.
Assistant were not take any responsibility ❗️🚫

The location is not in the core old town, but it is close by walking distance. It is next to the train street. Some of the front desk staff can speak Chinese. There is a small balcony outside. There is also a delicious baguette shop nearby.
