We had a very enjoyable stay at La Sinfonia del Rey. The location was superb next to the Hoan Kiem lake right in the middle of the Old Quarter. All of the staff were extremely friendly and special mention to Rose who greeted us and remembered our names throughout our stay, and to give us recommendations on where to eat while we were in Hanoi. We also wanted to thank the manager who checked us in and had more food recommendations and for the lady who checked us out that gave our son a departing gift. Thank you for having us!

The service was good from the beginning to the end.
We were nicely welcomed with a drink and fruit.
The suitcases have already been taken to the rooms.
The service was excellent, both helped with everything and the info
of the city, as well as arranging transportation wherever we wanted.
Even though it was evening.
The food was buffet style and was also exquisite.

Boutique hotel located in “Old Town” with fantastic staff, surprisingly roomy and quiet. Jackie and his amazing staff will make your stay in Hanoi amazing. Before leaving home Jackie had arranged our airport transfers, tours to Ha Long Bay, Cat Bi and local food tours. The itinerary was so good, additional family members joined us !!! The hotel is in a very central location and walking distance to local sites, and if you are interested in shopping, plenty of friendly local shops only a few doors away. Breakfast was included which was cooked fresh upon ordering. Vietnamese and Western breakfast selections with fresh made juice and coffee. Highly recommend. Not just the hotel been fantastic, if you like smaller friendly accommodation, our family felt like we had made a new family in Hanoi.

I have stayed at Maro hotel since some months. I totally satisfied with their service, room and especially staffs. They help me buy some medicines for my niece when she get sick. All 3 days trip in hanoi, I was so busy with many meetings. Mostly, I was absent from my room. They recommend many good restaurants for my family and hug my disabled brother across road. It really touched my heart bottom. Should you stay at this hotel as a family. I certainly come back and tell to all my friend about yours.

If you want to have a proper hot water shower, don’t forget to turn on the water heater. There is drinking water and a microwave next to the reception. (public space) but 2 bottles of water are provided in each room. Basically there are only 2 rooms on each floor. Front side and back side of the building. Therefore, there is less noise from other guests staying in the next room, which is excellent as you don't need to hear the door banging sound. I stayed in a room at the backside for a night, so the room had no view as I could guess although there was a window. Also I stayed in a room at the front side for 2 nights, which had a city view from the window. Pros and Cons: Room at the backside doesn't have a view but it is bigger and every piece of equipment worked properly. There is a desk and 2 bedside tables but no view at all. It is very typical room in Hanoi. The Room at the frontside has a city view but much smaller,(narrower to be exact) than the one on the 2 nd floor. Luckily I had a room on the top floor but the showerhead was broken. There is no bedside lamp although there are 2 bedside tables. I had to stand up when I wanted to turn off the light as the switch is located near the door. Also I saw many ants, whereas I didn't in another room ( it was a room at the backside on the 2nd floor). There is no desk in the room on the 7th floor. The Top floor is the 7th floor. The lift goes to only the 6th floor, you have to step up the stairs to get to the 7th floor. (there are 2 rooms on the 7th floor. The other room on the 7th floor is very far. You won't hear anything from other guests. The Toilet flush is very weak in the room on the 7th floor. The water was dripping from the AC and it went directly into my charging adaptor. Unfortunately the location of the socket was exactly en route of the dripping water and my adapter was receiving the water. As a result of it, my recharger was broken. (before that, a fuse was blown in the room. I had no idea why there was totally no power in the room when I was back from lunch...) Other than the above, other equipment is the same between the 2 rooms. Mini fridge, safe, electric kettle, huge TV, AC, bathrobe,,, etc but no tissue paper is provided. If I come back to this hotel, I definitely don't want to stay in the room on the top floor. Very modern small hotel but you have to pay at the reception. I prefer CC payment through AGODA in advance so I don’t need to carry much cash. The location is excellent. There is a Circle K in front of the hotel. If I am not wrong, there is only one TV channel. You can ask airport transfer for US$15 (from airport) , 280,000 (to airport) The best room looks like #601, I never want to stay in 701.

The location is very good. It is in the most central place. It is very convenient to go out and play. The air conditioning fan in the room on the fifth floor makes too much noise at night. It is very noisy. There is no light switch on the bedside of the hotel...

GGuest UserFirst, the location was amazing. It was located right in the heart of the Old Quarter. We had an 18 hour layover in Hanoi and this allowed us to maximize our short time here. We got to experience the culture of Vietnam in an incredible way. Second, our host, Huong Nguyen, was the best. She helped coordinate a private car from the airport to the hotel and gave us a full itinerary of places to eat and visit to maximize our short stay. She was exceptional at her job and she became our very first friend in Vietnam. Huong, thank you for all that you did for us. I hope to see you again soon. Third, the spa here was one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had. Not only was it very affordable, but the experience was truly world class. If you stay at La Siesta, I highly recommend that you take advantage of La Spa, a high end spa experience that you won’t want to miss out on. We will definitely be visiting here again in our next trip to Vietnam :)
GGuest UserWe loved staying at this hotel. The staff were outstanding, very obliging and helpful. The king size bed and pillows very comfortable. Great shower and the air conditioning worked wonderfully well. Well situated in the old quarter and so easy to walk to the lake, restaurants, coffee shops and Beer Street. Great rooftop bar and the Red Bean restaurant on thr ground floor very good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We stayed here overall 8 nights in total.
JJustincchongPerfect stay at Mina Hotel & Spa! I stayed for the weekend and found this hotel to be well maintained, warm and friendly. I love how every staff tries to be friendly and get to know their guest. Likewise, I feel at ease when return to the hotel every night.
I got the premier room on the 5th floor and it had a nice view of surrounding buildings. The room has adequate amenities - including soap and shampoo, toiletries, kettle and coffee making equipment. While the bed was abit hard, it was comfortable and clean. Pillows were comfy, but sadly only 2 were provided. There was a large flat screen TV with Netflix pre-installed and a nice curtain that made waking up in the mornings, enjoyable. The toilet could have been better designed as there was no shower curtain of divider between the bath tub and the main area, making bathing a mess.
The hotel also serves breakfast in the morning - but I found it to be a tad underwhelming - though I understand the hotel may not receive many guest. Included in the breakfast is an egg station, pho / porridge station, stir fried foods, fruits and basic breads. Coffee and Tea was also provided, but it was fairly basic. Nevertheless, the service made up the lack of good breakfast - staffs try their best for make your breakfast a comfortable experience.
I don't remember the names, but I'd like to thank the staffs (between 23/9-25/9) that made my stay a wonderful one.
Location wise, Mina Hotel & Spa is well located amidst the hustling streets, and at the end of beer street, with 5-10mins walking to the lake. It's also located near a bunch of street foods, which makes this hotel a perfect place to stay, wander and eat your way through hanoi.
I also tried the Spa and found it to be professional, extremely clean and it's service, exceptional. I got the VIP Combo 1, which included a facial, hair wash, foot soak and a body massage. While I particularly enjoyed the facial and hair wash, the massage was average and not strong. The masseuse had slightly long fingernails, which felt a tad uncomfortable during the massage. Nevertheless, the facial and hair wash was exceptional and left me feeling fresh and alive.
Overall, Mina Hotel & Spa will be a hotel that I'll visit again when I come to hanoi again. It's fair to say despite its inconveniences, it's warm hospitality and personal touch to its guests makes up for it.
DDr AnupamGreetings, here are some key features of the hotel, hope you find it useful:
1. Location: Situated in the Ba Dinh district, it’s close to several embassies, Thu Le Zoo, and West Lake. The area is somewhat removed from the main tourist areas, offering a noisy stay but still accessible by taxi or ”Grab.”
2. Rooms and Amenities: The hotel offers a range of rooms, including family suites and apartments with kitchenettes. Rooms are equipped with modern conveniences like flat-screen TVs, minibars, and free Wi-Fi. The room I've stayed offers an exciting city view, which I would highly recommend.
3. Facilities: Guests can enjoy a Japanese-style bathhouse, a thermal-water swimming pool, a fitness center, and a spa offering beauty treatments and massages. The hotel also has a restaurant serving Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine.
4. Service: The staff is frequently praised for their helpfulness and proficiency in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, and Chinese. The housekeeping service is noted for its thoroughness and attentiveness, although they were not able to understand basic English word and it becomes little difficult at times.
5. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet receives positive feedback for its variety and quality, including local dishes like pho.
Pros:
• Good value for money.
• Excellent breakfast options.
• Clean and well-maintained facilities.
• Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons:
• Little far from major tourist attractions, but close to Lake and church.
• The street outside can be busy and noisy, which might be a drawback for those sensitive to street noise.
Overall, Super Hotel Candle is a solid choice for both business and leisure travelers looking for comfortable accommodation with good facilities in a quieter part of Hanoi.
AAnonymous UserBe careful when asking the staff to arrange an airport taxi!
300,000 VND wasted.
I used the Grab app during my trip to Vietnam, and I was thinking of using the app to arrange a taxi to the airport when I returned home, but the staff said I would arrange it and wouldn't listen (half forcibly). So, well, it's a hotel, so I thought I wouldn't be ripped off, so I made a request.
When I entered Vietnam, it was about 400,000 VND from the airport to the hotel by Grab, but the staff agreed to arrange for 300,000 VND, and I paid the fee the day before check-out.
I wanted to keep proof of payment, so I asked for a receipt and was given it. (In the end, it didn't help at all.)
I checked out the next morning, but the staff who paid the taxi fare the day before was asleep and was absent, so I was dealt with by another part-timer who was sleeping on the sofa in the lobby.
I'm sleepy, but I'm quite suitable (I didn't even ask if I don't return the room key from here), and at the taxi meeting place that I had reserved the day before, I was told something I didn't understand in Vietnamese, and I gave instructions with my fingertips. I was in a situation where I didn't know which one to take while the taxis were stopped.
When I tried to check with the young man again, he was nowhere to be found. . .
In the end, I ended up taking a different taxi and ended up paying 400,000 VMD to the driver separately.
I don't expect Japanese level response, but I have to say that the taxi response this time is too appropriate.
I sent an email about this, but never got a reply.
Hotel facilities and cleanliness are reasonable for the price.
(There are some stains on the sheets and a little black mold in the bathtub, but I think it's not a problem if you're not a fastidious person.)
The location is good for walking around the old town.
This kind of thing happened just before returning to Japan, and it feels like something.
GGuest UserPros: The staff was extremely kind and accommodating and willing to help with any and everything if mentioned to them. It’s a fab location with Hoan Kiem lake well within walking distance, yet not right in the middle of the hectic old quarter so it’s possible to get a good night’s sleep (our room didn’t have a window, so unsure if this is true for rooms with window). Beds were changed every day and also clean towels daily however other amenities like toilet paper, shampoo, bodywash etc weren’t topped up during our stay. Cons: We arrived after the advertised check in time and our room wasn’t ready which wasn’t ideal after 17 hours of flights, however also understandable that sometimes other guests check out late. I think because of this they rushed to get the room ready which meant it wasn’t completely clean e.g hair on the floor, fingerprints on the mirrors/glass. Our TV didn’t work, the wifi was very slow during our stay, and the shower ran cold for the first 2 days which to be fair was fine considering how hot it was. Booking.com still states that breakfast is available here but nothing was mentioned to us about breakfast, and it’s worth noting that the photos used by the property definitely aren’t accurate. The property is nice, but not like the photos. Our room was windowless which I cant remember whether this was mentioned when booking. We didn’t complain as we 1) were very tired from the travelling, and 2) felt that it was a case of you get what you pay for (budget room/hotel). However I felt considering the high score the property has on booking.com and on here, it was important to leave a more accurate image of the property. Overall I would recommend for budget travellers, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for
GGuest UserRatings are always based on personal standards and judging criteria. For this, I am coming from the angle of a cheap airport hotel. This is the best airport hotel around Hanoi Noi Bai Airport, and at a decent price. Do not expect intercontinental buffet breakfast, business lounges and the likes. The room is pretty new, clean, functional, and large. Despite being close to the airport, you can barely hear anything from landing aircraft. Breakfast is simple at best, and staff seem to be still in 'training', with only Brian being the 'boss'. Rooftop pool doesn't look well maintained, and the entertainment room has been abandoned totally altogether, with the foosball and billiard table left to collect dust while it has become a storage and parking area. But hey, its an airport hotel. Purpose is to have people sleep for 1 night before leaving prompto. It is situated in a pretty rural area so don't expect any established eateries or convenience stores nearby. Think roadside hawkers and home-run provision shops. In conclusion, best airport hotel near Hanoi Noi Bai Airport.
AAlan BornHANOI
The location of this apartment is the biggest advantage. It is a 5-minute walk from the 86 bus stop (from/to the airport). Also, it takes 5-10 min strolling to reach the Old Quarter and Dong Xuan market. Plus, 20-25 min walking will bring you to the Ho Chi Ming mausoleum. Everything far would require a taxi or a scooter via the ‘Grab’ app.
Generally, this apt has a solid ‘3’ out of ‘5’. Everything you needed was there: a full-size kitchen, a microwave, a two-section fridge, a washing machine, a fan, an AC, a TV, a kettle, a cooking stove, all utensils and plates. The bathroom, a sink and a loo are clean, a hairdryer works well. You could even have a full foamy real bath (I was too lazy to extra clean the bath, that’s just me. Extra precautions). The bed is fine, and the bed sheets were clean. Nothing to complain about.
Now, why it is ‘3’ (or maybe ‘3.5’). For this money per night, in other places, you’ll get a 20-24 sq.m. room. While this apt generously will host you with 60 sq.m. (I have to confess, it was the main reason I chose this place among the locations). This place feels really like a proper apartment. Pay attention, this is not a ‘Hotel’ but a ‘Home-stay’ or an ‘Apartment’. There is no Reception desk. Nobody will meet, greet, and assist you. You will be on your own with any questions you may have upon arrival. Moreover, the entrance to this apartment goes through… the sushi restaurant. Yep. Right through the tables with people eating. Plus, the instruction sent prior to my arrival with all digital codes to open the doors to get in/out looked more like a maze or a puzzle. Good news, from 10 am till 10 pm the front restaurant door is open and you won’t need to worry (at least) about one of the ‘getting-in game’ challenges.
Al-in-all, with all instructions provided by Trip.com and the owner, I managed to check in smoothly, had a nice Hanoi vacation and didn’t mind some hiccups with local neighbours downstairs getting up early and starting cooking their breakfast)))
Good luck with your trip!
GGuest UserThe service was so good,
The lady and her family treat the clients so well. The husband even helps to take people to the airport.
The bed is so clean, and the washroom is equipped with everything in it.
By the way, sitting at the receptionist, I saw how they treated the other client, that's what we call customer service.
GGuest UserI really liked the location of this place in how it is near a lot of food, fruit, and vegetable stands. I also liked how it is near a lot of mini stores where I can go pick up things that I need. Owner is very nice and loans me things that I needed. She is very respectful to me calling me sir. Hotel maid was very friendly to be around. I like how there was a portable convection stove for me to cook things with. I like how there were silverware, chopsticks, and dishes that I can use to eat my food with. Very good deal to use the washer where it only costs 20,000 dong for the first time and free for additional uses. I liked how it was near that big Winmart grocery store.
Hotel room was very clean. I liked how it had this small space where I can hang my clothes up to dry which was perfect because it was directly underneath the air conditioning unit of the room upstairs where it gives off the heat which dries it faster. Hotel always has a fresh clean set of towels available whenever I need it. Hotel always has toilet paper available whenever I need it.
The only thing that I didn't like was that now and then, there are spiders, where I had to kill 2 of them. I also had to deal with a big spider on my last day. I am somebody that has a fear of spiders.
I might comeback to this hotel in August, September, or beginning of next year when I comeback towards Hanoi in Vietnam and the situation fits for me.
