In Harbin, the Ice City, I stayed at Happy Manju Hotel. The hotel is nice, the room is spacious, there is a lot of space, there are no consumer goods in the room, the service staff is enthusiastic, the water and drinks in the room are free, the toiletries in the room are free and very useful, there is also a body scale and a hair dryer in the room, which is very convenient. The hotel was clean and staff friendly and helpful. The suite was well designed and ideal with 2 young kids. Only bad thing was I couldn't turn down the central heating. Even with the windows open it didn't cool down. It was in the middle of the winter and the room temperature was 27 Celcius. It was too hot to put on anything more than shorts and t-shirt inside the room. Buffet breakfast has everything you'd want. There is a small supermarket nextdoor and some good restaurants in the area.

The ex-holiday inn. Location is excellent. Front office staffs are accommodating and the bell manager even assist to carry my bag across the street to board my private hail taxi. The only setback for this trip - the central air-conditioning system is NOT switched on yet. Beginning of June, I think the weather is not too cold. We should at least have the option to turn on the Air-con if needed. They did a provide a fan though.

The location is really good and near the central street. Only takes 2 minutes by walk. From Sophia 20 minutes by walking. The cleanliness is not bad, all the sheets and towels are really clean but their cups for tea is too dirty, we stayed their for 3 nights and each day when they come to cleaning the room they didn’t change our cup only wash with water and it wasn’t clean as well. Then we requested the front desk to revised them and they revised. Also the second day we finished our shampoo and wash body but they only put one body wash and not shampoo. The room was too warm and you can not to change that, we opened the windows in the 28 degrees. All of room do not have good view but actually it was not important for me as we want to go out from morning till night. The breakfast only includes Chinese style and not western. There are not many options. The service is good and they can support you and help you to go anywhere you want, but when we requested for water they sent water to our room after 2 times called them and after 2 hours, It was not bad staying at all.
