Warm and friendly hostel, treat you like global family. I can understand some staff's english hahah. We had Lantern Festival dinner together And very good location, 50m from metro station, 2min to central pedestrian street. Peaceful for sleep. Thanks for a great stay!

This is best hotel in Harbin. I am very lucky to be there. Owner and all staff are very warm welcome. He recommended good Mongolia hot pot just on the left from Zhong yang street . The hostel location is just opposite Zhong yang station exit 1. I will come back again. Thanks so much for delicious dumplings 😋

I never write reviews but i need to tell all trip.com users and potential Harbin travelers that I had a legitimately life-changing experience staying at Xingsu Youth Hostel. The hostel feels like a home - you walk in, and the first floor is a living room/kitchen with a big table and couches and a front desk, the second floor is rooms, and the third floor is the all-female floor with 16 beds, where I stayed. First of all, I was slightly nervous about being in a room with 16 people, but it was so spacious and comfortable and everyone was really respectful, I had 0 issues with noise or anything. There's a nightstand and lamp next to each bed so you can stay up or get up early without bothering anyone. Everything's very clean and warm and comfortable. Great hostel. OK on to the life-changing part. I've stayed at hostels before and met cool people, but at Xingsu I made FRIENDS. When I walked through the door on my second night there, a bunch of people were sitting around the table, the owner of the hostel was making 烧烤 (Chinese BBQ) for everyone, and I was welcomed into the meal/demanded to have a drink with everyone!! We all hung out for many hours that night, and more the next day. Throughout my stay at Xingsu, hanging out with these people and chatting with the owner, it became very clear that the owner is someone who loves meeting new people and building community and facilitates these kinds of encounters. (And not at all in an obnoxious space-taking-up way, but in a genuine way full of attention and generosity.) I learned a lot about being a good human by staying here!!! Even if you're not looking to make new friends and just need a place to stay, you should stay at Xingsu because it's an extremely affordable and comfortable stay in an amazing location (like an 8 min walk from Zhongyang Da Jie, the main pedestrian street)!! In any case you will absorb generous and warm vibes here and will not regret it. ＜3

Great value for money, friendly staff, excellent location just minutes from Zhongyang Street. The room is definitely not sound-proof and could be a bit cleaner. The bed is comfortable and sheets are clean. Overall great experience, would recommend.

They have a washing machine that isn't hooked up. The staff told me to hand wash it. I was quite vivd to hear that but I had no choice to do so. The room is very humid and clothes won't dry for a few days The room also isn't cleaned properly. Apart from all that, I can only say it is value for money.

A very humane youth hostel. The boss, the older sister and the volunteers are all enthusiastic and kind. I booked a two-day stay with my child at first, fearing that he would not adapt. As a result, I extended the room the next day and stayed from Monday to Saturday. From the initial restraint, everyone became very familiar and enthusiastic in the end. The tourists are also enthusiastic. Everyone will share meals together, which can not only eat a lot of different kinds of food, but also cheap. The boss also organized cooking in the hostel. Those who have cooking skills must show themselves. The boss really likes tourists to cook and have dinner together. The iron pot stew here is super delicious. I strongly recommend sharing meals with fellow travelers. There is a DIY store not far away. The owner is a gentle and elegant teenager. He is cheap, humble and patient. It is on the way from the hostel to the No. 79 bus stop (I don’t remember the way, I passed by like this) I met a lot of repeat customers. I guess we will come again in September (off-peak trip for kindergarten children)

The supplies are very clean. One person has a bed and a night light. It is very comfortable. If you need it, you can ask the host sister. The bathroom is shared and is cleaned and tidy every day. We are very conscious not to interfere with each other's rest. The only thing is that the bed makes a squeaking sound when it is turned over. I checked that it was the bar in the middle of the bed that was making the sound. I found that all the beds made the same sound when everyone turned over. I suggested that the boss strengthen the bar in the middle of the bed and put some lubricant on it. I will choose to stay here next time I have the opportunity to come to Harbin, because it is really convenient to travel here.
