We took our kids to Harbin during the May Day holiday. We booked the room in a hurry because we were leaving on a whim. We were pleasantly surprised when we checked in. The front desk guy saw that we were with our kids and quietly upgraded us to a family room. The decoration is quite traditional, but it is rare to find such a room in such a good location. It is very close to Central Street, so it is a good choice for shopping. Harbin's chimney bread and fresh kvass left us with endless aftertastes. We will stay here again next time.

Choosing Madiel Hotel is more about exploring the historical context than simply staying. First of all, the location is excellent, about 1 km away from St. Sophia Cathedral. It is interesting to wander along the dimly lit Central Street at night and find Russian-style buildings. Secondly, you can look for the marks left by history in the hotel. There are cultural displays on the first floor, and impressions of celebrities staying at different times on the second and third floors of the main building. The breakfast is rich in variety, with both Chinese and Western food, and the taste is excellent.

The biggest advantage is that it is extremely clean! In a new hotel, everything is new. The only decoration is minimalist, except for the toilet, which is all white from head to toe and spotless.
Secondly, the price is one hundred and eighty. I don’t think there are many that can compete with him in this area even if we count celebrities.
Although the room is small and well-equipped, the air conditioner is easy to use, and the curtains and curtains also have voice control.

The front desk on the first floor will always say hello when you go out and come back. The aunt who cleaned during the Mid-Autumn Festival even gave us two cakes, which was super considerate~ There was a little A small suggestion, takeaways are not allowed to be delivered upstairs. 1 The location is very convenient. It is adjacent to the subway entrance and not far from the Central Street Sophia Church Baroque Old Street. You can bike, take the subway or take a taxi. A taxi is not expensive for 10+.

We reached the hotel at 3AM the very early morning time with notice in advance. The checkin process is quick within lesser than 5mins. The property has the good location which is within walkable distance to the frequently visited attractions of the city. The time when we paid a visit to the city, beautiful lines of blossoms are blooming leading to the foremost satisfaction of staying here. Finally, the checkout is quick and sanitary staff also is friendly and helpful though there is language barrier but body language helped by the way. YYburnnavoyagesMy friend and I had the pleasure of staying at Grand Mercure hotel in Harbin, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we entered, I was struck by the spotlessly clean surroundings and the comfortable feeling that enveloped us. The high ceiling added a touch of grandeur to the ambiance, making it feel a luxury 5-star accommodation, all at a budget-friendly price.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the comfortable bed and fresh linens. I had the best sleep and woke up feeling refreshed, as if I had slept like a baby. The attention to detail in ensuring a comfortable sleep experience was truly commendable.
The hotel staff deserves special mention for their exceptional service. Despite some language barriers, they went above and beyond to assist me with anything I needed and provide accurate information. I vividly remember ALAN CHEN or Chan, although I'm unsure of the exact spelling of his name. He was always attentive to our concerns and questions, taking the time to communicate and ensure we received the correct directions. Their dedication and willingness to assist made a lasting impression on me.
In terms of location, the hotel was conveniently located near a bus stop, making it easily accessible from the airport which is around 45mins or less.
The ride took less than 10 minutes to reach the high-speed railway station from the hotel. However, I must mention that there weren't many convenient shops in the immediate vicinity, which might be a minor inconvenience for some travelers.
Our only issue during our stay was the room temperature, which was quite warm. Despite adjusting the thermostat, we couldn't achieve a comfortable coolness. We resorted to opening the window slightly to let in some fresh air, but leaving it open throughout the night posed the risk of catching a cold. It would be highly beneficial if the hotel could consider providing a humidifier, as the air in the room felt excessively dry.
Overall, my stay at this hotel was truly amazing. The cleanliness of the hotel, the exceptional staff, and the convenient location all contributed to a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Harbin and would absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit. The management may want to look into improving the room temperature control and addressing the dryness in the air to ensure an even more pleasant stay for future guests.

IIlse Du PlooyThe room appears much smaller than on the website but is adequate for solo travelling. Although water bottles was replaced daily, dirty tea cups were never removed or washed during my 4 day stay and I had to rinse them in the bathroom. The trash can was emptied every day but they do not make your bed. The shower head was broken and difficult to handle and the mattress topper was too big for the bed and kept slipping off. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was difficult in the sense that the hotel is situated in a very busy main road, with one way direction and few in between passes, meaning taxis must first drive quite far past the hotel before making a u-turn to turn back to drop you. The downside of using Didi's or taxi's are the rude and impatient drivers. They charged extra high fares during Christmas. We were often gridlocked in traffic, ending up walking back 2-4km to the hotel. Overall I was disappointed in the city itself. Many buildings were rundown and neglected with broken windos and peeled paint, that reminded me of a third world country. Streets were very dirty and a nearby school did not make traffic congestion any easier when commuting forth and back to the hotel. Rumours that Christmas is not so busy and a better time to be visiting Harbin, is not true. The crowds spoiled the experience at Saint Sophia Church, especially the influencers who dressed up in ridiculous outfits posing in freezing temperatures at the church staircases and corners, spoiling any photography opportunities. Stalls and shops around the Church were very expensive. I visited a few other churches like St Aleksyev and Jile Temple which was far worth the effort. The highlight of my trip was Volga Manor, Baroque Street and the Songhua Railroad Bridge. Sun Island snow sculptures were very enjoyable, easy to navigate and not congested with people. Plenty of space to walk through the park, play in the snow and take the cable car over the river. The ques are not long from the Sun Island side, but crossing over to Harbin's side, the ques were very long to get a cable car. Danny's Beer in the Baroques Street area is a must visit and offered welcoming, warm and delicious food and hospitality. It's a 4,7km hike from the Songhua River bridge and offered good food at very reasonable prices. I did not visit the Ice sculpture park or light shows because of the three hour waiting cues, too many people and slippery conditions. The Tiger park was a so-so experience and mostly annoying due to people teasing the tigers with meat strips they cannot reach; all for the sake of a photo opportunity. If you are an animal lover, rather skip the tiger
Park. Lastly, a big plus was the public toilets near the Songhua River that were impressively clean.

We recently travelled to Harbin and after looking at many of the hotels and reading the reviews we decided that this was the hotel for us. However we were shocked to find the poor service and cleanliness during our stay.
Location: The location of the hotel is a huge plus point as it’s very close to the central street & not too much of a distance to reach the main tourist attractions (20/30 min taxi ride). The location is also close to lots of restaurants which is very convenient.
Service: This is an area which could definitely do with improvement especially the evening staff, upon checkin the staff were friendly and welcoming however when we raised issues with the hotel room they became very rude and disrespectful. When we arrived to our room we found we had no face cloths - not a big issue and one that was resolved in a timely manner. However we then had to ask for the face cloths each day after housekeeping had changed the towels which isn’t an issue in itself more of an inconvenience . However the staff at the front desk seemed to find it quite funny (staff members laughing when we mentioned our room number at the front desk) that we had several issues with our room.
Amenities: The hotel has a robot delivery service for when you order food and other items from meituan which is a convenient way to get your things. The shower in the room was broken but was fixed in a timely manner. The room air con is basically just an ornament, the temperature of the room cannot be changed - it was set at 34 celsius one night - you can open a window but it will get cold quite quickly.
Cleanliness: Another area with room for improvement - the hotel room is rather dusty with dust falling from the ceiling above the bed. The sink was not cleaned when we checked in. On one occasion we were given ‘fresh’ towels with make up stains on.
Unfortunately we would not stay here again.

AAndreaThe hotel is really convenient to go the train station of Harbin west (哈尔滨西). Not really for everything else in the city.
The room was really spacious and comfy, with a nice view on the train station. In our room in the bathroom door someone punched it and there was a hole (not see through) in the door.
The receptionist does not speak English, but still helped us a lot.
The room was too hot (at a certain point we opened the window), but for one night just to catch a train it was a deal.
We weren't able to locate where to go for the reception in a first moment

NNeri_31Great hotel, near the main attractions, but not in a busy street. Our room was very confortable, sometimes the noise from people talking in the hall disturbed a bit, but not a problem. I recommend to add in the complimentary itens a body cream, I forgot to bring from home and would be awesome if it was available in the hotel, considering that it is a 5 star hotel. The weather was super cold outside and my skin was cracking. My overall experience was good, I recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserNormally I don’t comment, but this one must be praised 👌🏻. Let’s not talk about the room, it just needs to be neat and clean. We arrange transportation for whatever activities we want to play, so we don’t have to queue up. The fare is also cheap. They even helped us catch the bus. There was no problem on the slide. When we got down, the driver waited for a long time and helped us put our luggage and clothes on the car in advance. It’s really not something that so many people can do. We had a great time. We’ll come back next time. If it weren’t for the hotel’s help, my high-speed rail If I have to miss it, I'm going to change my ticket. It's really awesome.

SShenqidebudaowengThe Yablony Hotel is really ski-in and ski-out. There is a ski center inside the hotel, KFC is downstairs, and the ski center of Sunshine Ski Resort is next door. Very convenient indeed.
The snow-view king bed room is really beautiful. Open the window and you can see the cable car and the ski slopes.
The only frustrating thing is that I called after 11 o'clock to ask for check-out, but check-in has to be after 14 o'clock. 4 stars for service, 5 stars for everything else.
