We had the penthouse right at the top of the Inn. Amazing room with lots of space. Small kitchen with cooker and fridge. Tea and coffee facilties, lityle balcony overlooking the main street.

The staff were lovely, great breakfast menu with good quality food. Location was perfect for train/ bus stations and shopping. Lots of restaurants nearby to choose from. Would definitely recommend.

We went to the restaurant for dinner while staying in Harrogate for a few days. The food was ok but not great but the service was absolutely terrible. The worse customer service ever. The staff couldn’t care less. We ordered our meal which took ages to arrive and wasn’t great and when we finished it we waited for staff to come and take our plates away and we had decided we would have a desert. The staff didn’t even come and ask if everything was ok with our meal. We sat for over half an hour and not one member of staff came near us to take our plates or ask if we wanted anything else. We gave up and decided to leave and had to go up to the bar to ask for our bill and we were told will get it in a minute so waited another 5 minutes before another member of staff came back to the bar and we had to ask again for the bill. It was expensive and needless to say we didn’t leave a tip.

The photos that the hotel have on their website are not representative of the whole hotel. We stayed in room 12. It was up steep flights of stairs and can be best described as very tired. The mattress on the bed was well past its useful life. Paint chipped, grubby carpets. Our room wasn’t serviced the first and second days and when it was they didn’t wash the cups and glasses, make the bed, empty the bins. Just nothing like you would expect from reading and looking at the hotels photos. The breakfast was ok but I’ve had better. We were staying with old friends and away from the hotel we had a good time. Just let down by a tired hotel room.

We attended The Inn at Cheltenham with Supporting Older People's Dining Out Club. There was 12 of us and we had a lovely lunch. Good food served piping hot and probably one of the most delicious salads we have ever had with lots of ingredients and a great dressing. Rowena was exceptional as our waitress could not do enough for us to make the event special. Thank you The Inn we will be back for our DOC Christmas lunch.

Beautifully decorated and good layout with plenty of space. Only drawback was that if you'd like to eat on the outdoor terrace you have to order at the bar and not allowed a tab (which is understandab1e). We ate inside. Friendly staff. Food was well priced. Our party of 8 had the Sunday dinner, all choices were so tasty and it was lovely to have Cauliflower Cheese as an inclusive vegetable. All our party enjoyed it, will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.

Advocates booking and we were not disappointed. Becca the GM was so friendly and as I have Ceoliac the choice is vast. Great meal and to find out they are waiting on their Ceoliac Society Accreditation is wonderful. I will be back without a doubt.
