We have stayed numerous times here and have always had a wonderful mini break. The food is fantastic and the staff are always friendly and incredibly polite. Staying in the main house is a real treat, the suites are very special. The grounds are stunning, a wonderful place for a stroll. Indoor and outdoor pools are great

This is a truly beautiful hotel set in the most glorious grounds, with an outside pool that would rival any that you'd get abroad. The staff are polite and helpful and the breakfast we had was delicious with much on offer. We were staying in a courtyard room which, although it was their cheapest , was still very well presented and decorated with a good sized bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. The room lacked a fridge and I wish there had been larger bottles of water and some milk for tea- we don't all drink coffee first thing. We only tried the spa pool , rather than have any treatments , so can't comment on those. My comment to improve the spa pool; please don't let children in under 14- most people go to a spa to rest and relax and you can't do that if there are children playing in the pool with balls or crying. Also, have a facility to order food rather than having the poor member of staff disappear to place an order, wait for it to be made before bringing it over. By the time she got to us, bless her, our coffee was luke warm. The outside pool was lovely. So beautiful. We were only at this hotel for one night and had to attend another event in the evening at another hotel , so I don't feel we got to experience this beautiful hotel properly. Guess we will have to return then. Ah well.

The hotel is set in the most beautiful grounds offering a quiet, relaxing and peaceful break. The interior rooms and bedrooms are furnished tastefully. The bed was comfy if a tad soft. This is a spa hotel and at the time of our stay the outside pool was spoiled a bit by a family with v noisy children. The staff are all very pleasant and friendly. Especially the lady who worked in the pool area. The Oak room restaurant - well it’s OK if you want small meals on a big plate with a price to match. They offer a lot of bread, maybe to fill you up! The lounge restaurant offers much better value for money, very nice steak and Caesar salads. Plus the opportunity to dine outside. The breakfasts were great. We enjoyed our break.

We celebrated one of our family members 40th birthday at the hotel 7-9th June weekend. There were 8 of us including our elderly grandma and the hotel staff were extremely welcoming and hospitable . The rooms were absolutely lovely with modern facilities. The grounds were beautiful and we had a lovely celebratory dinner and afternoon tea in the restaurant. Couldn’t fault it and would definitely come back! Thank you for a memorable stay

Really lovely venue, attentive staff who went the extra mile in making our celebration special. Lovely gardens/grounds for a post-tea walk. We thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it to others. We will definitely be going here again.

We had not been for a number of years but this was our anniversary. Quite a different experience. Had to wait a while for drinks and menu in the lounge before being escorted to dining room. Only two waiting staff who were very pleasant. Service was very slow and food was luke warm on arrival. Sadly disappointed overall.

Amazing staff !!!! greeted by Fabio who made the start of our Experience Amazing as did all the staff.The Hotel is an English gem it should be rated a 5 star The beds were The most comfortable The rooms so clean breakfast was lovely The views out of each window wear stunning !I I have travelled and stayed in beautiful places This is one of my favourites by far can’t wait to go back

Lovely hotel and grounds. Would like to go again during warmer weather to take advantage of the outdoor pool.
Only downside was the hot tub in the indoor pool wasnt that hot but everything else was great.
