We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Biggin Hall Hotel. The listed buildings of stone were stunning and grounds were lovely to walk around. The Tissington Trail is nearby for the more adventurous. The hotel staff were professional; reception staff were welcoming and helpful, the waiting staff friendly, very helpful and kind to our 2 dogs, who accompanied us. We sat in the glass houses for breakfast and dinner, which suited us, with our dogs.
The food, both breakfast and dinner were excellent. We had complimentary packed lunches on both days of our stay; a very welcome and generous extra. We also had complimentary fresh milk, prosecco and ale in the fridge in our room. The ONLY downside to our stay was that our room was a little on the small side and in the attic, and we kept on banging our heads on the low ceiling and velux windows, when opened. I must also add, watch out for extremely hot water in the basin and bath/shower. There is a sign, but I didn't expect the water to be as hot when standing in the bath waiting for the shower to warm up. We would love to stay again, however, and next time we will choose a bigger room. Thank you to Biggin Hall.
