Old style bedsheet , don’t even have drinking glasses or cups in the room . Room is pretty basic , but location is good . Room comes with breakfast but not very nice though . Breakfast time is crowded even at 6.30am Will recommend this place inky for it’s location to near ferry terminal for ferry .

I stayed overnight on a girl trip. The room was very clean and the customer service was very good. The morning and dinner were half buffet, but the midnight snack was very delicious with steak and seafood teppanyaki. I was happy to have beer, soft drink ice cream, etc. for free after the bath, and the free rental of yukata was great. However, if I only say one thing, there was no free transfer from the station → Hotel after 19:00, so I headed to the hotel after a night cruise, but there was no taxi at all and I walked to the hotel. The Miyajima location is good although much better with a sea view . The hotel is comfortable without being luxurious , beds especially and a good wet room shower/ bath set up . Rooms are quit simple but very good . Free high quality toiletries abound but towels are pretty small - we would have traded fluffy and big for less freebies The staff are very helpful with good English spoken by the maitre d especially Public areas are clean and simple The kaiseki package is necessary and has a lot of food with many choices of main dish to cater to any need . Visually it’s lovely however even allowing for some different tastes I’d say the overall standard was variable , in particular the grilled fish and seafood was a bit overcooked. Some more flexibility over breakfast would help - we B left for an early ferry day 2 and even though our schedule was for a western breakfast it was not possible to give us some croissant or anything to go This is a good comfortable property - but not luxury standard as implied

I went to Miyajima on a family trip and used it for the first time. Near the pier, up a hill, the environment is quiet, the bathhouse is not big, and fortunately there are not many people. The breakfast is exquisite. Some of the waiters are from Taiwan, so communication is no problem. From the rooms on the sixth floor of the hotel, you can see the old ruins of Miyao Castle on the key mountain (the site of the Itsukushima Battle), and you can see the large torii gate from the side, and the view is acceptable.

Good points: 1. Location is amazing since it’s right on the island and everything is within walking distance. 2. We had breakfast and supper included in the stay. Food was varied and plentiful for most palates. Plenty of fruit and veg too. 3. Staff for 98% of the time was great. Language barriers are expected. Google translate is a perfect alternative to the translation issue. The front desk staff were awesome and was extremely helpful. 4. Room is spacious for a traditional Japanese hotel. We had our own onsen which was delightful. The beds were mostly comfortable and we had two full mattresses pushed together creating a massive king! 5. Once you enter the hotel you must take off your shoes and the hotel provides house slippers which generally fit most people. The lobby has shoe cubbies for your shoes. They do not lock, but Japan has very little petty theft so you don’t need to fret over potential thievery. Negative points: 1. This is of no fault of the hotel, rather it’s a Google maps problem. Be aware Google maps will basically have you climb the mountain and drag your suitcase through a dirt path. Instead put in the Miyajima post office and with the water to your right, turn up to the small road with the post office to your back. Keep going straight for about 2.5 city blocks and you’ll walk right into the hotel. Much easier than the 40 minute hike we took. 2. Restaurant staff on the whole were great. Only issue was this morning when we went to breakfast this morning and tried to sit in our usual table, the staff tried to sit us with some other people. I asked if we could sit at a different table and the individual said no and walked away. We didn’t know these people they tried to sit us with. However, they were tourists like us. I was frustrated because the staff member just walked away from us when I was still speaking to him. Very rude! 3. The toilet room smelled really bad. It was a combination of mold and chemicals.

The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the Yanshima Shrine, the Millennium Pavilion, and the Five-Pagoda. It didn't take a few steps. After we arrived at the ferry terminal, we met the hotel's shuttle bus and checked the baggage back. Then we strolled along the coast easily and went back to the hotel with our Yanshima Shrine. In the evening, come out to see the big bird house floating on the water after the high tide. The hotel is built on the mountain and the entrance is relatively small. We confirmed at the door that the hotel should belong to a larger hotel in Yandao. Although it is a bit old, the room is very large, with tatami and western style, very comfortable. The hot springs are well-regulated. It is said to be effective for arthritis. It doesn't feel embarrassing for a day. It is a hotel dinner. It is a good dinner for a hotel that has stayed at no more than 20 hot spring hotels. , recommended.

We stayed in a Japanese-style room, which means sitting on the floor at a table during the day. While you're at dinner, the staff comes and lays out a futon mattress for sleeping. If you don't like sitting on the floor they have regular rooms too. The included dinner was exceptional, with several courses. Supposedly if you book on their website you can pay more to get dinner served in your room; we used a 3rd party booking service and dinner was in the restaurant. When considering the value of this place, consider that your rate may include an amazing dinner. I didn't use the baths so I cannot comment there. One of main advantages of spending the night at Miyajima is that you have more time to see the ”floating” gate in different tidal conditions. You could also use the extra time for a long hike to the top of the mountain.
