Having read a couple of bad reviews I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious, the bed comfortable and the air conditioning was efficient. Breakfast was lovely, not a buffet but there was fruit, omelette,cheese and bread. I didn't buy any drinks in the hotel although there are 2 bars. Location is close to the rum museum and San Jose market and a short walk to old square. The staff I met were really friendly and polite.

It was not the hotel that appeared in the photo, they deceived us, a humid hotel, without ventilation, the service was very average.

The photographs do not correspond to reality, in the photo and in the conditions there is a pool, in fact it is not there. For breakfast they only serve bread with not tasty sausage.

There are no sockets in the room where you can charge your phones, and there are no adapters, I charged at the reception. Wi-Fi was given for 1 hour, judging by the instructions, and then I could not connect it. Were not given a welcome drink. When I went downstairs to ask about the adapter, I saw other guests who were treated, now there is a hole in my heart. The room was without windows, but with two bathrooms. The location is good, walking distance to all the sights of the old town. There were ants in the room.

After arriving at the RAQUEL Hotel, people said that the front desk went to eat, and the person there said that he was a security guard and could not speak English very well. Ask him about what time will he be back at the front desk? The eldest brother said it might be half an hour, maybe an hour, who knows. I said, can you be sure that this is the hotel? If it’s here, I’ll wait. If it’s not here, I’ll go back to the hotel I booked, but the person started to put on a face, saying that he didn’t check in until four o’clock, and it’s only half past three. , you wait. Later, when I got angry, he called the manager, but he repeated those few words, and didn't tell me if it was their place, and told me to wait. 3. Waited until four o'clock, the front desk finally came back, and gave the room to the room. There was nothing wrong with the room at the time, but when I went back to sleep at night, I found it was very noisy. The bar downstairs is still a restaurant or something. There are live music performances and some people are dancing, which can be heard clearly. I communicated with them to change the room, but they took me to a room on the top floor that was obviously unoccupied. I changed a room without towels, bath supplies, or toilet paper. I had to go to the front desk to give a roll, and there was no backup. The arm of the chair suddenly fell off. The room smelled musty. The curtains couldn't be drawn to the end, and some of the blinds were broken, and the hotel pressed a piece of cardboard in between. 2) The front desk service of the hotel is also different. I bought mineral water 4 times in total. Each waiter is different. I accept cash today, use a card tomorrow, and keep accounts the day after tomorrow. I am confused. 3) The hotel has no air-conditioning except the rooms, it is hot! 4) The chairs at the hotel's breakfast seats were broken and fell suddenly. Fortunately, they were helped! 5) The temperature of the bath water. It is not recommended for families to live with children, big disappointment! Traveling to Cuba has spoiled the mood!

The location is great, in front of the sea. Although it is an antique hotel, it is fully equipped with a refrigerator, TV, and water shower. The thing that bothered me was that I got a 4-hour Wi-Fi voucher that I could use at the hotel, but I didn't succeed in connecting even once.

Due to my own reasons, I couldn't check in as planned. It's a pity that the hotel couldn't arrange a follow-up room after negotiation.
