I liked the outlook of the hotel, it's located in a quiet neighbourhood. The reception staff were very kind and helpful, they helped with taxi booking to the airport. Breakfast was served fresh and very fast. The overall environment was warm and nice

Taking into account the situation in Cuba now it is a hotel that is average!! Classics like this become something that remains suspended in time without providing, for one reason and/or the other, a service that lives up to the price!! Furthermore, it is not understood if the shortcomings are only due to the situation in the country or also to the lack of desire of workers accustomed to easy tips!!

The hotel is very quiet and well located in Vedado, there are interesting places to discover in the surrounding area. The staff is very friendly and helpful, for me the perfect place for my stay in Havana. The rooms are well equipped and in good condition for Cuban standards.

The hotel has an attractive appearance. But as soon as you get inside, you realize that you made a mistake with your choice of hotel. They placed me in a room where the window and balcony door were locked, and the key was apparently lost. The air conditioner hangs above the bed, so if you want to use it, you'll wake up with a cold. No one was going to change the bed linen. I always check the bed. And what was my surprise - the bed was not fresh, someone else’s hair was on the pillow, the smell of perfume... There was no hot water, there was a notice that the water was 50 degrees. There is no trace of this, and you have to wait a long time for the water to become at least 40 degrees. The hairdryer, when turned on, glowed with a bright light (220 socket) and I quickly turned it off. There is no hand soap or toothpaste. There was shower gel and shampoo with someone else's hair on the lid. This was disgusting! The food is disgusting. Under no circumstances should you go there with children! One good thing is that I fed hungry cats with my dinner. They changed my room without any problems and I slept with an open balcony in a relatively clean bed. But the impression is sad. The room has a 220 socket not only in the bathroom. So I was able to charge my phone. The hotel cannot be contacted. Wi-fi needs to be purchased, there is no other way.

I stayed at the Hotel Paseo Habana for a week in April 2024. The hotel is run by Islazul Hoteles, a relatively cheap state-owned hotel chain owned by the Ministry of Tourism (note that most high-level hotels are owned by Gaviota, part of the business unit of the armed forces). This was my third visit to Cuba - I decided to stay here for the first time as I got a very good rate that included breakfast and wanted to stay in Vedado. The location was excellent for me. Vedado is leafy, quiet and beautiful, full of mansions that were built by the creme de la creme of Cuban society in early-mid 20th Century. The Paseo is no exception, the lovely front building sitting proudly on the corner of 17 and A. The rooms are located in an attached taller building that's clearly a later addition, but it doesn't spoil the aesthetics. I was happy to be away from the craziness of Habana Vieja, and took taxis around using the app La Nave (Havana's best Uber equivalent). I arrived on an early flight, so got to the hotel before 10AM. Naturally I couldn't quite check in then, so I dropped my bags at reception and came back about 1PM, when they allowed me to check in. The hotel has been recently refurbished. The refurbishment significantly improves the experience judging from older photos online, but do note that Islazul does not have access to any significant resources or any financing, so please do not expect any Islazul hotel to be at the level of international hotels. Having said that, I was more than happy with my room for the price I paid. The air conditioning was brand new and excellent, the fridge was good, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and smart. The iron didn't work, so I took it down to reception and they told me housekeeping would replace it the next day (unsure why that takes a day to walk to a cupboard, but the new one worked). The only thing missing really was the toilet seat, but housekeeping kept the loo roll stocked, which isn't always reliable in Cuba - they took small old rolls and wound them together, creating new full rolls. Excellent stuff, no waste. I slept very well in quiet Vedado on the comfortable beds. The room was perfectly clean when I checked in, and turned down daily to a good standard. Somewhat surprisingly, there was hot water. I couldn't quite get it to be 'hot' hot every day, but also I didn't want to run the water for too long to see if it became hot due to how water-stressed Havana is in the dry season. Often it did get hot part way through the shower. Pressure was decent. When turning off, the head did fall out of the holder, dropping it to the floor - this will break soon. The hairdryer did work. Quite a lot of the lighting did not have light bulbs. There was a smart TV, but smart functions were not possible, due to the internet connection being via a portal. This was no issue as I didn't go all the way to Cuba to watch TV. WiFi was available in the room and common areas. This was charged at 50 CUP per

Location is not good for tourism: too far from Habana vieja. Breakfast was ok for a 3 stars hotel. The room was ok too, but we were not sure if hot water was available in the shower. WiFi is paid (50 CUP per 1h session).

It is a quiet hotel in Habana. They offer breakfast in the morning, you can ask eggs etc and they bring it to you and it was good service and good flavor. They also offer lunch and dinner at a good price in cuban currency which is cheaper that any private restaurant around. The arrival was weird because imagine that you come from the airport with luggage (three pieces) and right at the entrance they are celebrating a civil wedding and you cannot pass and also not elevator because of no electricity not good for a 3rd floor room. The bed was small fro two and not confortable and at midnight coming back and find hotel counter attendance sleeping on main sofa.It was a just one night there but bad impresssion. Also next morning waiting fro gaviota bus to Varadero trip and rude attendace guy doesnt help or be ready to call you not even at hotel restaurant.

Second stay in 2023 at this very comfortable little hotel next to Centro Chirurgico. Since my first stay this year, the hotel seems to have changed management, but without compromising service or quality (although the posted rack rate has increased by approx 5x!). In general, the hotel is clean, quiet, and safe. Surrounded by a charming garden and terrace. Gated, with security. Air conditioning in rooms is great. Dining area not air conditioned, so need to sit on the terrace for a breeze. Meals were sit-down with choice of fish/chicken/lamb. The meals (although simple) are prepared by a chef and very tasty. Much better than many of the bad buffets at other hotels. Small bar area is now open for drinks in the afternoon and evening. Staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. All staff speak (some) English. Location is close to the many restaurants at the bottom of Paseo. There are numerous small shops at the bottom of Paseo in the same area where you can buy beer, liquor, wine in pesos at reasonable prices. Location next to the heart hospital means you can easily find taxis near the hotel. However, the cheapest transportation option is to walk down Paseo to the Malecon and wait for the children's train which makes a loop from the Plaza de las Armas to the Riviera Hotel approximately every 2 hours for 40 pesos. Hotel will currently change money at the official government rate of 120/USD, but you this is not recommended as you can obtain a better rate easily on the "informal" market. Wifi for sale at front desk for 40 pesos/hr. Coverage can be a little bit spotty, sometimes you lose the signal. Other reviews have raised water temperature/pressure issues: these are not generally the fault of hotels. Water system in Havana has lots of issues.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Our stay in Havana was ruined by Air france losing our luggage. The hotel staff were amazing they called air france twice a day trying to chase our cases. Constantly found someone with a phone charger so I could be contacted. Enough about that I've only mentioned to tell you how amazing the staff were compared to the hotel we moved onto. Very clean. Good sized rooms. Lovely breakfast. A bit of a walk into central havana (30 mins) but id thoroughly recommend this hotel if you want to feel welcome.

The hotel has been redecorating while closed during the pandemic. We were happy to spend 4 nights during January, the breakfast was excellent (now served at table instead of buffet), and as always the outdoor porch was also available for coffee/lunch etc. during the day. We like the friendliness, the open-air layout of the carpeta and the first floor, as well as the well equipped room--T.V, air conditioner (not needed much in January), good bathroom, even an iron and ironing board. Room security is good, and lighting is also good. Thank-you to the entire staff, especially the manageress who helped us, Iris and the other room attendants, the maintenance man, and also Jose Miguel. We hope to stay here again...hasta la proxima!

I went to visit the hotel since friends and networks had told me that it had a very nice view and I just wanted to see it. I was visiting Cuba and I went with some friends and the person at the door told us that the entrance was only for guests without No explanation, we told him that it was only to see the view but that didn't matter what a shame that in our country it still exists that Cubans cannot visit their hotels. As I said before, I don't live in Cuba. I have lived in Miami for more than 20 years and it took me very long. bad impression about what happened

We spent three days in Havana and the hotel is recommended for the price and quality. We had a room with relatively new and very comfortable beds. The room is clean although it is quite old and so is the bathroom. Hot water does not always come out and the water pressure sometimes fails. You have to keep in mind that you are in Cuba, so those things take a backseat. All the staff is lovely, from reception, cafeteria, those in the hotel's own cafeteria, everything! So if I had to go back I would. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and there are several places nearby to eat, as well as small shops to buy water. Breakfast is included and is very rich

It is a small hotel but it has surprised us for the better. The price-quality ratio is very good, and it is also quite central. The room is the best it has, it is spacious, well maintained, with everything you need. The air cools well. Everything OK. The attention is very good from the staff. The ground floor is colonial style with a beautiful garden. The restaurant does not have air but it has a terrace. The food is not very varied but it is tasty. We had a very good stay.
