Clarion Grand Hotel Reviews

A century-old hotel. The environment is very good, the location is convenient, and there are restaurants around. Andre at the front desk was very welcoming. Although check-in was a few hours late, the front desk was very nice. The soundproofing is poor, and the room on the 1/2 floor is very noisy, even in the second half of the night.

Located close to the city center, you can easily go to various places in the city

Overall clean, the elevator has seen better days

Lovely old hotel with a lot of character in a lovely position near the the port. Breakfast was very good also.

Gorgeously appointed property, close to everything, great service. Check out Nessie's pub nearby.

Found someone’s dirty underwear in our room, as if the room was barely cleaned… Tv couldn’t be seen from the couch or the bed, shower leaked and there was no air in the room making it very smelly

We only stayed here one night but it was a very enjoyable stay. Quiet and spacious room, comfy beds, comfy sofa bed ready prepared for the four of us, great breakfast and very kind staff. Free street parking when we were there. Super close to many attractions. Only negative was the massive number of people during breakfast (we went down at 8 am). Other than that, really nice stay!

Staff were friendly and breakfast great. Amazing old lift - clearly a lot of history. Convenient location. The room itself was a bit disappointing. We had a very small double bed. The mattress topper was too big for the bed itself and the mattress had failed springs down one side. The tabletop fan was broken. Cleanliness of the room was fine but had very grubby light switches and quite a few stains on the walls.

A bit like stepping back in time. Much of the hotel is old and needs updating or renovating

Old and tired. Really uncomfortable beds in rooms with no air conditioning which means windows have to stay open. Safety lines broken from windows which makes it feel unsafe with toddlers in the room. Staff even had the cheek to charge for toddler milk in the bar.
