While the motel is older, the bed was very comfortable and it’s one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed at in Townsville. I was upset at being given an upstairs room despite booking weeks in advance and requesting a ground level room because I was in Townsville for hospital tests with one lot of tests finishing yesterday (as an inpatient) then I stayed in Townsville for the night to return to the hospital for an outpatient test today and I have mobility problems. Thankfully I didn’t require mobility aids or I wouldn’t have been able to get up the stairs. I was surprised that the room was spacious and although I didn’t need them, it had a toaster and microwave along with plates and cutlery. After spending time in a hospital bed, I was very pleased that the bed was super comfortable and the aircon worked better than other places I’ve stayed so I had a really good sleep. The gentleman assisted me with getting my bag up the stairs to the room and the staff in general were very friendly.

Motel is dated but has been kept in tip top condition and exceptionally clean. The room is well equipped with convenient parking directly outside front door. I would highly recommend this very affordable Motel.

The Raintree was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, there were no spare pillows - we had two (2) relatively low pillows and two (2) hard cushions between us (2 adults). The lack of power points, especially beside the bed was a nuisance. We like to charge our phones on the bedside table, in case we need to attend to them. We had to use a power point on the opposite side of the bed. However, none of these will stop us from staying there again. Clean & comfortable are the priority.
