Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort

The property says it’s pet friendly but it’s not, you cannot take your pet everywhere and food it just not good. Extremely expensive for the service they provide and they charge. You $100 per night for incidentals

We stayed here in August for 6 days with the Vacation club. It is a very nice resort with great service. It is expensive at the restaurants so we only ate there for some dinners. Since we have a large family, we ended buying food at a Costa Rican similar Walmart and cooked breakfast and lunch to save money. The pool is nice. The exercise room is okay not be the best hotel gym I've used. My wife went to the spa and got a good pedicure. In terms of location for Costa Rica we did a boat cruise to La Tortuga island where we did snorkling, saw some spider monkeys and even a whale, went to a nice beach and had a lunch. We also went Ziplining at the Adventure Park close to there. We would defiently go back there, but may want to go to another part of Costa Rica- closer to the volcano.

I actually stayed in the vacation club side of the resort but we are given access to all the hotel amenities, which are excellent. We took advantage of the kids club, the sprawling pool, the Eco tour and ordered from Hacienda Kitchen several times. All of the staff are friendly and helpful, especially Salvatore who drives the Marriott van and will shuttle you to nearby restaurants and Jaco. Victor and Hugo at Hacienda Kitchen were very helpful with our order - we caught two large fish on a fishing excursion and asked Hacienda Kitchen to prepare a few filets for us, which ended up being delicious! All the hotel amenities made our vacation club stay extra special. We can't wait to be back.

We had a great trip. Service was top notch and the property itself had a ton of things to do. It was great to see the wildlife walking around during all times of the day.

Wonderful hotel on the beach with sprawling pools (swim up bar included, could benefit from a slide or two- then would be perfect for families) and multiple dining options. The hotel and rooms are immaculate and the staff is super friendly. The beach is safe for swimming and has shade options but isn't the most beautiful- sand is fine but rocky in places and could benefit from lounges and umbrellas. The view, however, is incredible, with the offshore island keeping the bay safe and calm. Also a huge benefit that you can walk to the nearby marina shopping area with restaurants and stores and a wonderful cafe/dessert place. Overall a wonderful stay.

We loved everything about Los Suenos. The pool is beautiful and so are the surroundings. We had fun kayaking and swimming at the beach - the water is super warm but a bit merky (typical of Costa Rica). It was a special treat to see the scarlet macaws nesting in the almond trees and flying overhead along the beach each afternoon; then seeing the monkeys at the beach at the marina nearby. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was welcoming. A special thank you to especially Andres and Gerald at Hacienda Kitchen for treating us like royalty and to Alex, the manager there, for making sure we got to watch the USWNT win the gold medal during the Olympics. The food is pricey at the resort, so we went to local restaurants nearby most evenings. The Thursday all-you-can-eat sushi bar looked amazing but we missed it. We highly recommend booking the Isla Torguga day trip from the hotel...it was an amazing day!

The location was fantastic, and the service at the Hacienda restaurant was outstanding. However, the amenities at this hotel were disappointing. Many outdoor options like kayaking and paddleboards weren’t functioning, and the few available were restricted to specific times with only 30-minute sessions. While my family did have a good time, we ended up exploring outside the hotel for activities. The excursions offered by the concierge were overpriced, so we opted to book on our own. When we rented a cabana for a day, it was surrounded by ants, which affected our experience. The saving grace was the exceptional staff at the Hacienda restaurant. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for an all-around great stay.
