Terrible experience in three aspects: 1) 40 minutes wait time for the 4pm checking in at the resort 2) on-the-green reservation means two sets of staircase down to the basement for your entrance into the front door of your room and a half basement for your bedroom under the ground 3) no cleaning services for my 4-day stay but you must pay the resort fee every day. Dare to try that?

Welks couldn't find my reservations through trip.com. it took over an hour just to get into the room. I'm handicapped and they were not very accommodating

The resort was perfect for a little rest and relaxation with my 9 year old son. The pool, farmers market, game room, were such a treat. There was so much more but time was limited. Can't wait to come back. View is amazing, golf course, ducks, and room was comfortable. We stayed in a villa on the greens and there was more than enough room. Highly recommend this resort for a staycation.

Hyatt Vacation club at The Welk should to be your last option to visit as a resort. Not only is there no accountability held here but even their customer advocacy department will not respond or correct the issues you may have. I recommend you look far away from this place and here is why. Our room was “Showboat 269” there was certainly major neglect to this room, the walls are dirty, air conditioning ventilation are filthy, the electrical of the whole room has a buzzing sound to them which is nullifying our experience of comfort and rest. Also to note the WiFi connections are horrible. The whole vibe felt like old apartment complex converted for use of a resort. Upstairs resort visitors banging, running around with the lack of insulation in the walls you hear everything. When we first arrived to the resort from Los Angeles we were very excited, our group was hungry and decided to visit the restaurant Canyon Grille, after the waitress sat us at a table we were immediately hit with this horrendous smell of sewage lines, when we brought this up with the waitress she apologized and unfortunately we had to leave due to this smell. We drove over 30 minutes to BJ’S to have a meal. At the end of our first day we heard there was going to be live music at Canyon Grille so we decided to go down to hang out and relax thinking that the issue had been resolved, while walking to the doors of the restaurant another group of guests were walking out and said “it smells horrible in there” I responded by asking if it still had a stench of sewer lines and they responded “yes and when we brought this to the attention of the waitress, they said that the issue had been resolved”. Second day, we wanted a hang out at the pool area, we drove to the pool area since it was a distance from the room. While hanging out we got hungry, we saw a hut “TRESTLES bar and grill” where we ordered some drinks and chicken tenders, hanging out at the pool area we gave the tenders to the kids, and guess the surprised look I had on my face when I inspected the piece of chicken tender that my son was eating UNDERCOOKED/RAW. It was completely pink in the center, I was furious went back to the hut and told them I needed to speak to their supervisor. Their supervisor Danny Salvatierra arrived and took our information. Danny noted my information and reported it to his safety and sanitation department and also I informed him of all the above issues and he said that someone would call and speak to us, unfortunately no one ever did which just reinforces the lack of accountability of this resort. Do yourselves a favor find somewhere else to stay if you’re looking for relaxation/escape. For a marriott owned resort this was more than a dissatisfying experience.

My in-laws have owned a unit at this resort since it was built in 1984. We have been coming here every year since and all I can say is this resort has gone down hill every single year. Service is absolutely terrible, units are run down and old, housekeeping is terrible and if I had to be honest, its sadly a 2.5 star resort. Such a shame. This year, my inlaws used their unit and my family bought a unit near theirs for the week directly through Hyatt and paid almost $800/night. It was a TERRIBLE stay and the unit was old, run down and dirty. Filthy in fact. There was rodent feces on the balcony and when we asked to have it cleaned, no one ever came. If I had to be honest, I am angry that I spent almost $5k for a unit that should not have been more than $1000 for the week. Really gross. I think think we will be back and looking to get rid of our timeshare here.

It has been a couple years since we were at this “place” and it has gotten worse if that is even possible. Since Hyatt has taken over the resort has gone downhill. *The front desk staff is horrendous! Rude, not willing to help and really not willing to listen. We had nothing but trouble checking in to the point they would not let us check into our daughter’s room. Ok, rules. But when she got there 3 days later, they had listed her as a no show. It took forever to get her room and the staff continued to be rude *Rooms are old and not maintained. Housekeeping is good, the rooms were clean. But, one room was missing a chair at the table, dishwasher was loose, walls were banged up and a muscle man had to open the slider to the patio. Other room was missing trash cans, furniture was broken, dishwasher filthy, and no dishwashing detergent. But they did give us laundry soap with no washer. *Don't even bother hoping to cook. There are no baking sheets, no blender, no colander, no measuring cup, no bowls to serve or mix in, etc. We had four kids and didn’t want to eat out every meal or eat just cold food so we came prepared *Speaking of eating out, the only restaurant does not serve breakfast and everything is 20+ minutes away. There IS a Pizza Hut. Woo hoo *Pools are nice, game rooms fun (but they cost) and employees at each rec center are the only redeeming factor at this “place” *I call it a “place” because it certainly Is not like any resort I have been to

We asked for a “no step” unit. We told the Resavation desk at Hyatt Vacation club this and why. She recommended a ADA room she had available. We had friends stay in one a few years ago. They were in Village on the Green. Here at Bolder Peak, the newer area of the resort we found to our dismay many things wrong. The kitchen is 10 ft. long or so. The prep space is 2 ft. left of the sink, a 3 ft. sink, 16 in. of prep space then a 2 ft. cabinet. T the microwave is a counter top model on the 2ft. section of the counter top. The living room tv was lopsided with all the cables hanging out from behind it. There is a bath tub in the bathroom not a roll in or step up ,”2in.” Shower. The BR tv had no sound and cables were all messed up. They’re are no electric outlets for a night light, no electric outlets to charge motorists wheelchair. When we told Welk all they could say is “If you have a ADA Room you can not change it out for another room”

Our stay at the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta was truly unforgettable, particularly because of the outstanding service we received at Pureza Restaurant. Jaime, our waiter, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, always smiling and exuding a beautiful attitude. Our lobster dinner was impeccable, with presentation that was simply incredible. Chef Joshimar is a master; his tableside presentation of our meal was like nothing we had ever seen. He absolutely deserves a raise. Restaurant Captain Stefam was delightful, reserving a special table for us on our last night. She greeted us warmly and had a bottle of our favorite wine from the night before ready for us. Her graciousness and eagerness to make our final dinner memorable were beyond expectations. We were not disappointed. Can't wait to come back for an even longer stay!

Pleasant stay. Was nervous to stay here after reading all the bad reviews. The unit was quiet and comfortable. Needed batteries in the remote and maintenance took care of it within a couple hours. The pools and workout room were very nice. Would stay here again.

I went to the Welk and did not have a good time. This place is dirty, mismanaged and they hire people that look like they just got out of prison- which is uncomfortable. My particular run in was with a woman named Desiree Viola. Desiree is a heavy set Asian girl who has no morals standards integrity or self respect. She actively pursued my partner and succeeded once getting him drunk to the point he could not stand. I had hoped a “luxury” property would have higher expectations of their employees and set standards. To top it off, the incident occurred in the front passenger side of her car. I’m disgusted

The hotel has large units with 2 fireplaces and jaccuzzi. The grounds are very nice with palm trees and flowers. Many sports activities. It should be a 5 star hotel but the staff is very slow and each one has to call to verify his answer to the customer. They also do'nt change the sheets everyday but thats ok, because they give many towels, soaps, laundry soap etc.... In the day and evening you can call a ride to melody and harmony centers. The market should have more breakfast variety.
