I stayed here as a summer vacation trip with my family (wife and two small children). We decided on this hotel because it has a pool and a kids' space so that we can play at the hotel even if it rains, and the price is reasonable. Perhaps because I had seen in reviews that the facilities were old, when we actually arrived, the price was quite satisfactory. It was also nice that we were able to choose yukatas, including for our children, after arriving. After arriving, we went to the pool immediately at the request of our children. The indoor pool and jungle spa are accessed by indoor stairs, and since they are on different floors, you cannot go between the two in swimsuits. I think children should just wear a bath towel when moving around. At the jungle spa, there is a sign that says to bring a towel into the spa to dry your body, but there are no towel racks inside the spa, so only a few people brought one. As other people have said, the water temperature was low, so it was a bit cold. We only used the jungle spa this time, but I think it is a level where children up to the lower grades of elementary school can have fun. The food is a buffet, and although it is quite satisfactory considering the price, it does not feel luxurious. There were things that children would like, and it was nice that they also prepared aprons for infants. This time we stayed in a room on the 8th floor with an in-room bath, and the view from the balcony was great, and the children were delighted with the tatami mats and futons. The room felt a little old, but it was well-maintained and clean. I think Atagawa is a good stopover point for sightseeing in Izu, and the price was reasonable, so it was a hotel that was more satisfying than I expected. If I have the opportunity, I would definitely use it again.
