Days Inn by Wyndham Hillsboro

I travel for work and work nights. I stayed at this hotel three separate weekends. The first weekend was OK nothing to write home about. They are doing renovations but didn’t work the weekend. For the most part everything went fine. The second weekend my rate was raised for no reason. I was put in a different room and the renovations did take place on the weekend. It was very hard to sleep with people talking and working directly outside my door. (The hotel knew I slept during the day. They did not care.). The third and final weekend I was placed back in the loud room. I complained and was told that was the only room available. On the second night of my stay, I got up for work and went to take a shower. There was NO hot water. I had to take a cold shower. I called the front desk and was told they would look into it. I went to the reception in the morning when I returned from work to get compensation for having to take a cold shower. I was told by the manager “that I pay to sleep here, the rest of the amenities are free”. Then she dismissed me without compensation. Monday morning when I returned from work she was outside my door working on the renovations. I told them I would leave at checkout. I went to my room, packed and tried to nap. The door was knocked on every hour with the manager yelling “checkout at 11 o’clock”. Finally at 11 I answered the door. Told her I pay to sleep here and you didn’t let me so I will leave when I want. I closed the door and went back in the room for a few more minutes. She was standing at the door in the same spot where I opened it to leave. I do not recommend anyone stay at this hotel.

Very friendly staff. Check in and out was easy process. Very clean rooms. Motel is close to everything you might need during your stay. Parking gave easy access to the rooms. Very quiet. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Has a pool looked clean.

First off, I have stayed in BETTER motels for less in REAL tourist towns. Exterior security door doesn't close on its own. Girl at check in acted like was doing you a favor. Bathroom sink drains VERY slowly. Room service should have seen this and reported it. Thawed frozen folded omelette of some sort at breakfast. Yuch. No hangers. Just 4 hooks on the wall. Iron missing from the holder above the ironing board. Ice machine is not working. Judging from the note on it, it has been out a while. WiFi terrible! Phone jumps to data mode all of the time. The router is old, 2.4GHz only WiFi4. N only, non-AC, etc. Even outdated routers are approx. $60-80 that have AC and 5 Ghz. Showerhead hose broken at thefitting. It sprays water over the shower curtain onto the sink and floor. Behind the bathroom trash can is filthy. It looks like the floor was mopped without moving it. DON'T TRY TO SLEEP IN! Room service knocking on the door, then opening it, every morning. WTH? THE PLUSES were: USB ports on both sides of bed. Large TV. A pull down shade to darken the room.

Renovations going on while we arrived. No AC throughout building. Did have in the room but took a long time to cool down. Paint fumes, plastic all over everything including banisters want the greatest. Wires hanging out of ceiling throughout building. The breakfast was microwaved sandwiches which were told the night before it was better breakfast.

Great room at a great price. Construction was going on, but I didn't mind the mess in the hallway. The room looked as if I was the first person to ever stay in it! It was clean and I slept great...couldn't ask for more. Ladies at the front were very polite and welcoming.

The receptionist was very nice, but there was only one person working at any time. One of our 2 rooms was very cold and took a long time to warm up. There was no remote to use the TV. It took a while to get one, as the receptionist was the only one working. Both rooms were not incredibly clean - especially the coffee maker in my room - yuck. There is no ice machine on the second floor, so my 83 year old father went downstairs to get ice. There is no elevator, fyi. Not impressed overall.

This was the best option for our needs. The room and temperature was comfortable. The bed was very comfortable although a little high for an Accessible room. We were a little disappointed in the breakfast as there was very little protein to choose from. Overall our stay was good.

Skip this hotel and don’t stay in Hillsboro. We visited an elderly aunt in Hillsboro and stayed one night at this hotel with my daughter and granddaughter. The floor was coming up in the room, the bathroom was dirty, and I never felt safe. The door barely locked and was loose. The only positive thing I can say is the sheets appeared to be clean and I didn’t see bed bugs.

I stayed at Daysinn in Hillsboro. I had a great experience bed was very comfortable room is very specious and clean. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Appearance of the property was very nice. Easy access to the market.
