I stayed at Yukai again after many years. As a chain hot spring hotel, the dinner was improved, with a barbecue and sashimi buffet. But the free bus was gone, and Chinese people in Japan cannot drive themselves, so they can only take a taxi. There was no response when I contacted them on WeChat. This time I had to choose between Shimabara and Hirado. Hirado was the birthplace of Zheng Chenggong, which attracted me more. I couldn't get a taxi after getting off the bus, and finally got a taxi at the sports field under Hirado Castle with the help of a Japanese friend. It is recommended to go by train, and there are taxis waiting at the hotel.

The hotel room is very large, the raw tuna in the buffet is very fresh and the scenery outside is also beautiful.

The hot spring was spacious and comfortable!

There were no restrictions on meal times, so we were able to relax even with our baby.

The bathroom is large and good. The temperature of hot water is just right. It would be even better if the sauna was large and there was a TV. The room is old but large. The sea side rooms have a great view. There is no particular problem in dealing with employees.

It's a huge hotel Japanese style with spa. The meals are buffet style with a wide variety of dishes and a gas cooker on the table. Price/value is great but if you dislike big crowds, then this is not the place for you.

Every thing was perfect except that the hotel is kind of old and room may already need renovations to make it look modern and luxurious. The room is spacious but lacks electrical outlets close to bed for the phone and other gadgets and lighting for sleeping.

You can't get there by following the directions on the car navigation system, but there is a sign at the entrance from the road, so it's okay. The number of flat parking spaces near the entrance is limited, so we were guided to a narrow parking lot up the hill. We ran into a group of Asian tourists at the front desk, and it took a while to get from the reception to our room. It was spring break, so many people had come and the hotel was fully booked. The meal was the usual Yukai Resort, but we were surprised at the size of the dining venue and the number of people! It's a popular hotel after all. Both dinner and breakfast are buffets in three parts, but it was the first time we had such a long line at a buffet. (Breakfast wasn't too crowded though) I think they had some local dishes like champon. The rooms face the sea and have a terrace, which must be nice in the summer. The baths are alternated between men and women. The open-air observation bath was nice, but unfortunately you couldn't see anything at night. The other open-air bath also had a tub bath, which was nice. Still, it was a hotel with far too many people. Large hotel with superb sea view. Huge room. But everything else needs to be reviewed! Aging room with completely outdated decoration. Strong smell from the original carpets. Bathroom and toilets also to be reviewed. Dining room on the 1st floor to also redo! Everything should be renovated! What saves me is a varied and very correct buffet catering with a large choice of fresh fish and meats. On the other hand, you have to grill them on a small barbecue on the table and as there is no ventilation, all the clothes smell of smoke. You need to change both in the morning and in the evening. I do not recommend this hotel which would have potential if it were renovated.

I have no complaints about the food or the large communal bath, but the table and floor in my room were covered in dust, so I contacted the front desk as soon as I entered. An older woman came and cleaned it up right away, but it still didn't feel very clean.

The hot spring was spacious, clean, and had a wide variety of options, which was great. I can't eat living things, so it would have been better if there had been a few more dishes at dinner.

Some parts have been renovated, but the place is old overall, and the door to the balcony was poorly fitted and didn't close properly. The TV stand and air conditioner were covered in dust, and it didn't feel clean at all. I wondered what they had cleaned. It was nice that there was a place for children to play, but I was bothered by the lack of cleaning everywhere. There were spider webs in some parts of the room, so I wish they would clean it more thoroughly. It was convenient to be near the sea.

When you enter the room, there is a staircase right away, which makes it look like a maisonette, but it's just a step. I thought it was a twin room, but it was actually a four-bed room.
