Riverside Hotel In Saigon

An excellent stay! The room was spacious, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of food and drinks that changed daily, so it never felt repetitive even after seven days. The hotel's location is superb, right by a scenic riverside attraction and with a commercial district behind it, including currency exchange shops nearby. All the restaurant and service staff were incredibly polite and friendly.

This hotel is really old, so the windows aren't double-glazed, which means rooms facing the street are incredibly noisy. If you don't want a street-facing room, your only option is one without a window. But then, those are in a completely different building, and you can't even use the regular guest elevators – you have to take the service elevator. Today, when I was checking out, the staff member moving linens monopolized the service elevator for over ten minutes. I had no choice but to carry my big suitcase down three flights of stairs myself. On top of that, my room had a very strong renovation smell. The breakfast options were also extremely limited; honestly, there was hardly anything to eat. I'd say there were no more than 15 items in total, including fruit, and only three drink options: water, apple juice, and 'watermelon juice,' which was basically just a bucket of water with a few pieces of watermelon floating in it. Most importantly, I found the hotel staff to be very cold. The front desk staff, both at check-in and check-out, barely cracked a smile. Forget a friendly welcome; it felt like I owed them money. I don't know what this hotel is so arrogant about. I barely saw any other guests at breakfast this morning. With business like that and this kind of service, it's no wonder their business is getting worse and worse. All I can say is, I wish them success, Na Ying!
