Decently far from the main attractions and all, generally easy to get about and relatively clean for a hostel. Locker was big and the room had a lock. Felt safe and habitable. Have to climb stairs to get up to the room which is normal for hcm city.

There was lots of hair found under the blanket. My body feels very itchy after laying down for awhile (After Shower) You can peep through the door cracks.
Requested to change the blanket / bedsheet. Staff told me to go out while they will help to change.
Came back and it's still the same condition.
Rooftop is closed at night.
There's plenty of space to hang out.
No escalator. Goodluck if you staying at the top floors.

Advantages: Cheap. Many white European and American roommates, but little communication. Generally clean.
Disadvantages: No kitchen, hard to wash large clothes. The shower room is shared, one of them has no lock buckle. A Danish girl was sick and kept coughing in the middle of the night, which really affected her rest. She woke up every two hours and decided to change hotels.

Affordable price 10-minute walk from Bui Biren Street. Dormitory room from 1st to 5th floor. Room assigned to 6th floor. Climbing stairs is very difficult. Room is small.

This place is great. Really nice staff, good food and cheap beer. In addition the clientele is really diverse and met some great people. I would recommend 100%. Lovely little snacks when you have a few beers and the ladies (I think proprietor) makes amazing cakes!

Main issue = the noise level from the bar downstairs. Bathrooms are spread out through the floors, and lockers are big. space is very air conditioned, every time the door opens and closes though (with a loud electronic key beeping and buzzing) the noise definitely woke me up multiple times throughout the night and early morning

I had a pretty horrible experience during my 2 days here. This is an unsafe place, I lost my laptop, a cosmetic bag, and a crossbody bag. They couldn't check the camera because it was placed in a hidden location from my room door. Housekeeping arbitrarily threw items on the guest's bed without notifying the receptionist. I requested to move the bed and the receptionist agreed but did not update the hotel system and let another guest take that bed.

WARNING: ROBBERS AT THIS HOTEL! My experience at this hostel was a nightmare. Not only was I robbed of €150 from my suitcase during room cleaning, but the receptionist's poor english made it impossible to effectively communicate my concerns. When I tried to address the theft, the staff dismissed my complaint, insinuating that previous guests had lost their money elsewhere. In addition to this, despite booking a deluxe room with a deposit safe, I was assigned a substandard room with malfunctioning air conditioning that leaked water. After requesting a room change, I was offered a deluxe room, conveniently without a deposit safe as advertised. Coincidence? I think not. To make matters worse, the hostel's appearance in the photographs does not reflect reality. The establishment is worn-out, neglected, and unclean. Overall, the lack of security measures, coupled with unprofessional staff and false advertising, make this hostel an absolute disappointment for any traveler!!! BE CAREFUL!

I had a wonderful stay at 9 Hostel and Bar, Ho Chi Minh City. The staff was super friendly and I really liked the atmosphere in the lobby. The hostel is located perfectly in the middle of District 1. Couldn't be better!....................:)

12 people forced to evacuate our dorm due to a disgusting bed bug infestation. Staff were aware of the infestation the day before and did not inform any of the guests. When we found out (from other guests, not the staff) it was 11:30pm so there was almost no time to book a new place for that night. We were not offered any solutions other than to ‘sleep in the beds with the bugs’ or leave and find somewhere else to sleep ourselves. The manager sent her boyfriend over when we wished to speak with her, and the boyfriend was hopeless. He did not work there so had no authority to offer us any refunds/ solutions. Not been refunded nor reimbursed for the other hostel. Staff did not seem to take an infestation like this seriously. My boyfriend and I covered in bites. We have had to wash all of our clothes but not convinced we are rid of them since we are backpackers and they could be in our bags too. Avoid!!!
